Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
Book: I grinned at the captain and blew him a kiss. I had Raggetti wound around my little finger, I did like the sensation of power. I walked back to captain and put on a little pout, " Somethin' wrong capt'n?" I batted my eyes innocently.

Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
"Whatever makes ye think that, lass?" Jack said sarcastically, a hint of a snarl ebbing at his voice, "Everything's just peachy."
He was restless, and it showed in his movements. It seemed as though he couldn't sit still. He toyed with the beads that adorned his dread-locked hair for a moment, then checked the ship's astrolabe. The latter action was utterly pointless, as an astrolabe requires the night sky to be of any use what-so-ever.
He pulled out the compass Tia Dalma had given him not an hour before. It spun wildly around, pausing for half a moment pointing at an inside pocket of his jacket. "Good thinking," he muttered to the compass.
Reaching inside the pocket, Jack pulled out a flask of rum. He uncorked it and took a deep swig.

Book: I creeped up behind him and took a look at his compass as he took a swig of rum. It didn't point north... Interesting. Being that little curios bugger that I was I quickly snitched it from his hands and examined it.
Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
"Oi!" Jack exclaimed, putting the flask down and turning on his heel in one fluid motion, "That's mine, lass." Curiousity got the better of him, though. What did this girl want most? The compass would know, of course. He watched the needle meander its way around the edge.

(hey um bari, go to part of the pack. i need to get u updated. major shit happened. orders from Charlie Michelle. >.<)
Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
Book: I wandered around following the direction the wildly spinning compass pointed to. It ended up pointed west-ish. "Hmmm... curious, very curious." I looked into the distance only to see the open ocean. What could this little compass be pointing to?
Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
Jack looked off in the direction the compass was pointing. There was naught but water. Past the sea, though, there was always land. The nearest landmass in that direction was... Well, now. That was interesting. Of course, it was entirely possible it was pointing to something else.
"Pray tell, luv," Jack said, taking the compass back, "Where exactly is it you're trying to get to, what with the stowing-away on a pirate ship?" The compass needle meandered its way away the west and pointed at Book. At that moment, Jack wanted to know what it was the girl wanted. Even so, he snapped it shut quickly.

Book: I put on a smooth smile. "Tryin' t' get away perhaps, or maybe not. Either way i's none of yous damn business." I walked back to the railing and watched the sea. I knew what I wanted. Simply put it was treasure, what type of treasure I wasn't sure. Some type of treasure would be fine for me.
Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
Jack opened his mouth about to say a very witty and sarcastic reply, but closed it again. He didn't dare say such things when the person in question was a lady. Even so, being captain, everything onboard ship was his business. How can a captain be remotely adequete at his job if he doesn't know the goings-on of his own ship?
Jack followed Book to the railing. He leaned casually against it and nonchalantly said, "According the "mystical-magical-voodoo" compass, you want something in that direction." He pointed one ringed finger to the West. "And, it just so happens, that is the direction in which we are headed."

@Nikki: Sure, I'll help. I'm not sure that I'm too good at developing thread ideas, but I'll do my best.
@Writing: Yes, just a moment. I've been neglecting the character chats for far too long, and am now having a heck of a time trying to catch up to all of them. Give me a few moments to reply.

Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
Book: I grinned so it wasn't just a brocken compass it was magical. "I woder what I want....maybe treasure.." I hummed a little tune while I thought but it got caught in my head, the song that is.
"I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts...all sitting lovely in a row... BIG ONES SMALL ONES SOME AS BIG AS YOUR HEAD!...." I whispered gradually getting louder.

Jack raised an eyebrow. "Ah, okay then," he said slowly, "I'm not entirely sure how to respond to that, love. So..." Then he smiled and said, "Drawing on my vast command of the English language: I'll say nothing." With that, he turned, rather drunkenly, back to the helm's wheel.

Book: I grinned, I could let people know when I wanted to be alone. I turned around and sauntered over to the wheel deciding to be a wee bit evil, hey I can only be good for so long. I walked over to the captain and smiled slowly. "What is it that you be wantin'?" I asked leaning on the wheel and batting my eyes almost innocently.
Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
Jack tried his best not to look at Book. He attempted to side-step the question by saying, "Being a pirate, I want a lot of things."

Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
Book: I intercepted the step and looked up at him. "Like what?" I asked with a slow smile. I put my hands against his chest trying to conceal the evil grin that wanted to appear.
Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
It was evident from Jack's face and body language that he was feeling a bit awkward. "Um, well, I, uh," he stammered, now having no choice but to look at Book. He was saved from having to answer when the ship lurched violently. There wasn't any land in sight, so they hadn't run aground. That meant there was something in the water. Most likely something big. Really big.
((Congratulations! You managed to make Captain Jack Sparrow feel awkward. I didn't know that was even possible.))

(YES! I was aiming for that! gosh...*tears up*I feels sos so accomplished.)
Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
((Bari: *Hands Book a large, shiny trophy* Here you go. That's yours to keep so you may always remember your accomplishment.
Captain Jack Sparrow: *Grumbling* It's not that big of an accomplishment...
Bari: *Turns to Jack* So you feel awkward around women a lot?
Captain Jack Sparrow: *Quickly* No, it's just I- I, um, well.... *Relenting, and grumbling again* Fine, let her keep the dumb trophy. *Kicks the ground dejectedly, then pulls a bottle of rum out of nowhere and takes a large swig*))
A large sailor ran up to Jack. "Cap'n," he said breathlessly, "We seem to have hit sumthin'."
"I can see that," Jack answered, "But what is it?"
"We don't know. Raggetti insists it's the Kraken."
Jack straightened up. Was there a bit of fear in his eyes? "Swing the ship around then," he ordered, "Let's just let the beastie lie and get as far from it as possible, savvy?"
"Aye, Cap'n," the sailor nodded, and began telling the other sailors the orders.

Re: Pirates and you bloody sure well know them too
(book: *victory dance* I am AWESOME! *kisses trophy then Jack's cheek*)
Book: I raised an eyebrow gulping back a bit of fear. "A kraken? Aren't they for the damned and such?" I questioned giving captain Jack an up down, he didn't look like a damned soul but then again.. He was Captain Jack Sparrow.
