Harper: "No, it's fine, I'm glad you did, but...ow...I really need to get to the water...please."

Ember: "getting there....hold on to something." i gunned the gas and drove to the lake. "Why the hell did you have to get in trouble with the police?" i asked, slightly irritated.

Harper: "you think i get in trouble on purpose? I can't help that the police have it out for me." I fumbled with the doorhandle and nearly fell out. I scrambled to my feet and ran to the edge of the lake. Looking down, I grimaced. it didn't look nearly deep enough...oh well. i could hear sirens. Better now...i fell into the water.

Ember: "yeah...and i cant help that my dad is trying to kill me." i mumbled under my breath, low enough that he didnt hear. i walked over to a tree and jumped into it, hiding in the branches.

Harper: as soon as I hit the water, an instant relief flowed through me. I morphed into a fish and just swam there aimlessly, waiting for the wounds to heal.

[Cali]

I jumped out of the car and quickly morphed into a wolf.

Harper: When my body felt better and I didn't feel any pains by swimming around, I sat up, healed and human. "Ugghh..." I said, holding my head. Too bad water didn't heal headaches

I ran over to Harper and nudged him, whimpering. My coat went from brown to silver.

[cirrus_sd]

Harper: "I'm fine, I'm fine," I said, patting the wolf/dog/whatever it was. stupid headache...I stood up. "I'm just gonna go home now...and take a nap...a long nap...because now I am talking to animals...and I am sure there is something wrong with me...because now I am talking to the air...or is to myself? Bah"

[Cali]

I grinned and morphed back, thankful that my clothes were on. "You really need to let go." I laughed.

Harper: "Let go of what? I'm not holding onto anything." I walked out of the woods and onto the street. "Damn it's bright," i said, rubbing my eyes. Yawning, I stepped onto the crosswalk.

[Cali]

I walk beside him, "That's not what I mean."

Harper: It wasn't long before I reached my apartment. Or the building anyways. I leaned against the concrete building while I tapped in the enter key. "Sorry. I don't know if animals are allowed..."

I laughed, "That seems a bit rude."

Harper: "Don't talk to me, talk to the landlord." I opened the door and let her in anyways. I walked to the elevator. Broken. I sighed, and took the stairs.

[Cali]

I sighed, "Landlords always give people problems." I shake my head, and followed beside him.

Harper: Stupid top floor apartment...stupid landlord...stupid steps...I came to the top, pulled out my key and unlocked it. I shoved against the door twice before it opened, then I walked in and fell onto my bed. "Don't forget the deadbolt" I muttered

[Cali]

I nodded and locked the door along with the deadbolt. I sighed and looked around, standing in the same place. "Nice place." I say, shoving my hands in my jeans.

Harper: I lifted my head to look at the apartment. Was she seeing the same thing I was? "Nice? There's nothing nice about it....it's practically a closet...a big walk-in closet with a bathroom taped to it." The bed took up nearly half the room...the other half was a desk full of the stuff i'd been working on...mechanical animals...some that jumped, some that moved, most that played music...and lots of parts. The walls were covered with motorcycle posters, and across the bathroom was the 'kitchen', a cupboard above a cabinet with a mini fridge, mini dishwasher, a sink and a microwave. There was one window, and that was the only thing worth it in the crummy place. It was huge and took up the entire wall. There was a teensy weensy porch, but I'd only been out once...and I was half inside the building..i wouldn't trust myself on that porch...being afraid of heights was bad enough.

Ember: i made it to my last stop of my round. when i got out of the car and knocked the door, a bunch of Rockwall high boys answer the door. they pulled me into the house before i could say anything and shoved me against a wall.
"Lookie what we have here." one of them laughed, walking closer to me. i read his mind and cringed at what he wanted to do to me. what his friends wanted to do to me as well. he kept me against the wall as one of his hands slid to my shirt to take it off. i punched him before he could and ran like hell. i heard a gun shot, and pain shot through my shoulder. i stiffled tears before jumping into my car. i followed harpers thoughts...not knowing where else to go. i turned off my car when i got there and ran into the building and up to the apartment. i kicked the door lightly as a knock, using my right hand to press against my shoulder to slow the bleeding.

[Cali]

I turn around and open the door, "Ember?" I ask and quickly get her in. I lock the door fast.

[momo13]

ember: "I ran into rockwell kids...and oh god...they...and...the thoughts....oh god." i spoke in fragments before sliding to the floor, breaking down.

[Cali]

I hugged her, understanding.

[momo13]

Ember: i winced as she hugged me, one hand still to my shoulder.

[Cali]

I looked at her shoulder and say, "I can fix this." I summon my backpack beside me and take out my medical supplies. I clean out her wound before wrapping it up.
