Val: I tilted my head so I could see Angel. "What? You don't know what the Eliminator is?"
"Val, cut her some slack. Not everyone is obsessed with guns."
"Sean, we're talking about the Eliminator." I spelled out the last word for those too dumb to know what it was.
"I know what it's called Val," Sean said with a chuckle. He turned to Angel. "It's a grenade launcher. The grenades are explode in a hundred foot radius showering everyone with burning, acid coated debri. The launcher has a four hundred foot range. Takes about half an hour to reload."
"If you're new at it," I piped up.
"You really think you could beat the Verse record?"
"The only reason that's the Verse record is because the owner of the gun hasn't let anyone, but himself touch it in the past ten years."

Scotia: I let out a puff of air, scratching the back of my head. Where was I? I shuffled through the papers that i'd gotten back from the pyro. He'd written...he'd written things! on my sheet! i glared down at his writing, clenching my jaw. I swear if i he did anything to...whoa. He'd actually corrected my mistakes. And now everything was right. How--
"See, i'm not stupid."
I think i jumped five feet in the air. It was the pyromaniac. He was staring at me from about a yard away.
"Oh, i never--"
"But that's what you're thinking. Just because i burned myself. I'm not. Stupid." he stared down at me. I shrugged uncomfortably.
"Well..ok. Thank you for correcting me." i said quietly. He actually cracked a smile.
"The Doc need a little help with her polynomials?"
yeah. that's really what i needed help with.

Scotia: "Yeah, um..." then Blaine walked in, he looked tired, and yet, wide awake at the same time.
"Should i even ask."
"No," I muttered. But the pyro, i mean McKay, just shrugged and left. I wonder if he was even supposed to be let out.
"I think that we should--"
"Can i talk to you?"
i blinked at Blaine. "Sure, i guess."
"Do you think...what do you..." he kept trailing off, beginning and ending without a real question.
"Does it have to do with something medically?" I asked carefully, studying his pupils, seeing if they were dilated or not. He stared unblinkingly back at me.
"I--" he swallowed, "No. I was just wondering if....if you knew when we'd be landing back in Persephone,"
i could tell that he didn't want to ask that, but oh well. He'd tell me when he was ready. Or not.
"ok then, Blaine."
