Malachi: I wince. "er.....fine." I sigh, digging in my coat pocket. "Here." I'm grimacing the whole time she's counting the wad of cash. That was quite a chunk out of my wallet.

Val: "Eight," I said as I finished counting. "Welcome aboard Malachi. And by the way, you are not allowed to service any of my crew. Do I make myself perfectly clear?"

Malachi: I nod silently. Yeah, i saw that one coming. this oughta be a fun trip! whoo-hoo.

Val: I walked off and changed out of my dress. I put on my leather getup and put my assault rifle on my shoulder. I walked back to the kitchen in search of more food.

Scotia: I nibble on the end of a fork as i stare at the paperwork in my hand, the fruit cup totally forgotten. I glance up from behind my glasses as Val walks in. "Oh hi Val." I offer a smile before going back to scribbling on the paper.

Val: "Hey, Scotia," I said. "You weren't actually going to be his client, right?" I would hate to get in the way of their love fest.

Scotia: "Who's...? Oh, Malachi? No. I don't know what that really means, so no." I shrug it off. looking up at her. "Why?"

Val: "I would hate to get in the way of you and your needs." I found pleasure in making jokes at her expense.

Scotia: I make a face. "My needs?" I have no idea what she's talking about. I'll have to ask Malachi about it later. maybe he's a doctor like me...

Val: I stared at her. She had no gorram idea what I was talking about. "Where did you grow up again?"

Scotia: I look up again at Val. "Persephone with my parents. I mostly stayed in the labs with my older brother though." I make a face as I remember my sister. "All i know is that my sister was a client many times." I shrug, going back to my work.

Val: "Do you know what being a client entails?" I asked.

Scotia: I scribble something out, quickly writing something it's place. "No...not really..." I push my glasses up my nose and look at her. "Why?" Val opens her mouth just as the young man -- Malachi? i think -- walks in.
"What are we all talking about?" He smiles widely. I just stare at him. He's just a really strange guy, i guess.

Val: "What you do for a living," I said. ((they're in the med room maybe?)) I flopped onto the examination table and put my arms behind my head. "Scotia doesn't understand the finer details of your trade. Maybe you should enlighten her."

Scotia: I smile up at him lightly. "Sure, you should."

Malachi: "Well...you know.." I cast Val a look; the 'what the hell are you thinking?' look. "I...um, house, people, in a way." I grimace. This was so not on my agenda of things to talk about. "Could i...talk to Scotia...alone, Val?" I can see the confusion on Scotia's face. I let out a deep breath.

[Kate-Anders(unnie)]

Val: "Nope," I said, popping the 'p'. I sat up. "He's a whore. He trades sex for money." I flashed a charming smile.

Scotia: My eyes widen at the young man. "Wha.." I murmur, trailing off. He seemed so nice before...oh, figures. I really should pay more attention. "That's...hmm." my eyebrows furrow down at my papers.

Malachi: I gawk at Valorie. "Are you serious?" I hiss at her, stepping closer so that Scotia wouldn't hear. "Gorramit, Val.." I mumble, glancing over at Scotia. Well at least she knows now, i think blandly.

Val: I sat on my hands and swung my legs. "Dead serious," I said with an innocent smile. "Somebody had to shatter her world of innoncence."

Malachi: "You're the best, Val." I mutter sarcastically, stalking away. Just great. Now I bet she won't even be able to look at me again. well, not without thinking about what my job is. I glance over my shoulder over at Scotia who was still working on the papers she constantly had at hand, my eyes tighten but i leave.

Val: I smiled bandly at Scotia. "Now do you understand?"

Scotia: I chew on the inside of my lip. "Yes." I manage to say. I feel so used. I shuffle my papers on the counter, setting my glasses down on top of them. "Yes I do." I barely glance over at Val as I move to the other side of the room to begin my procrastinated work of putting away all of the supplies that i'd bought.

[now i'm stumped for what to do -_- no one's ever around when we are (or at least me) so...]
