Scotia: i sigh, running my fingers through my hair before hurrying to push my glasses up my nose. don't want to lose those again. i scratched out a few things on the paper, stopping in the middle of the hallway. which was a bad idea since someone ran into me. i jumped, "Oh, i'm sorry," i muttered, grimacing.

Scotia: Sheesh, i should really start acting like a normal human being. as in, not stopping in the middle of hallways. yeah, that's a good start. I keep walking, then stop again -- thankful no one was walking toward me -- when i realize that i didn't know who that was. i glance over my shoulder. the young man seemed pretty harmless. at least he didn't kill me, or something.

No, I'm not obsessed with that gun.
Okay, that's a lie. It got me from the Alliance side to the browncoat side and out of the war--all in relatively one piece.

Angel: I walked down the hall. Scotia and Talan were talking in the hall. I stalked passed him towards the kitchen. I turned before the door. "By the way, you don't have chance," I replied. I sat opposite Val at the table.

Val: I slid in the clip and loaded the assault rifle. "Chance at what?" I asked as I pressed the gun against my shoulder. I peered through the scope and checked the balance. Everything was in order.

Angel: "He was hitting on us earlier. I was simply letting him know I'm not that type of girl," I replied. "How's the job coming?" I asked. I was impaitent for another job. The lulls inbetween them made me antsy, they also increased the chance of getting caught.

Val: I glanced down at the girl. "I'm three years older than he." And mentally unstable according to Sean. "And you're a merc. He's just some rich kid from Persephone who fought for the wrong side. He wouldn't have a chance with a companion."
I shifted the gun and took aim at a cup on the counter. I didn't shoot--I didn't have enough cups to be wasted them.
"I'm going to contact Sean now."

"Valerie Shay, long time no see," Sean said, and grinned at me. I rolled my eyes.
"I need a job. Got one?"
"Who's that charming young lady with you?" I glanced at Angel.

Val: I tilted my head so I could see Angel. "What? You don't know what the Eliminator is?"
"Val, cut her some slack. Not everyone is obsessed with guns."
"Sean, we're talking about the Eliminator." I spelled out the last word for those too dumb to know what it was.
"I know what it's called Val," Sean said with a chuckle. He turned to Angel. "It's a grenade launcher. The grenades are explode in a hundred foot radius showering everyone with burning, acid coated debri. The launcher has a four hundred foot range. Takes about half an hour to reload."
"If you're new at it," I piped up.
"You really think you could beat the Verse record?"
"The only reason that's the Verse record is because the owner of the gun hasn't let anyone, but himself touch it in the past ten years."
