(20-21 but same diff. And wow O.o Kyle was an uber ASShole in that scene xp. that was nothing but coldheart xp)

The remaining troops that had originally left with Kyle ran towards the gate, many of them were carrying stretchers, some of them were carrying eachothers guns. One of the men yelled out "Are they still following!?"
Another man replied, "They're coming still, run faster!" "The base is right there!" "Alright do it now!" Just barely in viewing distance of the base the soldiers stopped running towards the base and turned around. Most of the men on stretchers hopped off of them as if they were fine the whole time, and grabbed weapons from the soldiers carrying extra's.
As they stopped and turned around the soldiers furthest from the base were completely massacred Imperial troops that had now stopped and were running towards cover as they fired.
Back at the base there was a whistle, and the bases main artillery weapons began to fire immediately, they landed hitting no one on either side, but they hit in a wall, shooting up the dirt into a smokescreen. A ton of gunfire opened up on the other side of the wall of dust. The original troops ran into the smoke and disappeared into it fighting on the other side.

Alice spun around at the sounds, eyes widening. "Shit," she yelled and stood there, figuring out what to do. See what was happening or go back to base? Her hands went to the holster's strapped on her thighs as she cursed again.

As the dust finally started to clear rebel soldiers could faintly be seen kneeling with their guns aimed, but none of them firing, and rebel troops from all sides of the Imperial troops were closing in on the, also with their guns aimed. No one was firing however. As the smoke continued to clear you could see that the any living imperial soldier had their arms up and had dropped their weapons.

Kyle finally standing up from the crowd stepped forward and was soon eye to eye with one of the imperial soldiers. The other Rebellion soldiers had stopped moving but remained aimed.

"What do you value soldier?" Kyle asked the man he was eye to eye with. The man coward in fear, "I asked you a question." Kyle hadn't even raised his voice yet. "I'll start to yell if it'll get answers out of it, what. do. you. value. soldier.?"
Finally the man replied, "My wife... My kids... My friends... My mother..." Kyle interrupted him.
"Look at this guys we have a momma's boy. Shut up, do any of the rest of you wish to add something to this, cause his values are pissing me off." None of them answered. "YOU'RE SOLDIERS! There's a little girl I saved from almost being shot the other day by one of your men in the Reznian district solely because she was out after the curfew. I valued her life, there's another girl in that base I've known since I was a child, I value her life, And then to add on to it all there was a little girl who just sacrificed her freedom, to give us all our own, she was our general. I VALUED HER LIFE! None of you even Value your own! So why shouldn't I give the order to open fire right now? You guys would have done it to us if we surrendered." He was finally yelling at them.
"Please don't..." One of the men cried.
"Santos, tie him and get him with your division, shut him up too please." He calmed for a minute before he began to yell once more, "We fight because we value eachother! THAT and THAT ALONE is why we managed to win this, I do give my words that the you learn that in the spirit world." A girl had already come to tie up the one that said not to shoot him, and she pulled him back to where she was as he said that. Then Kyle took out his pistol and shot the one he was eye to eye to, and the rest of the Rebellion opened fire killing the others.
"You live cause you said please soldier. You have a choice now, you can go back to the Imperial base and tell them what happened here, that the rebellion is tired of giving into the imperial commands, then you'll most likely be sent out in another division, and we'll kill you there. But I'm giving you the choice to go home to your family, and we'll tell the empire your a captive, you can vanish right now." He turned to the last living imperial soldier. "You can make your choice. Let him go Santos, everyone fall back to the base."

Alice watched without motion even though her mind was reeling. Seeing that they were returning, she hopped into a tree silently before crouching and watching them return.

As the troops were returning Kyle was having a conversation with one of the other soldiers. "Why'd you let him go, he knows far to much by just seeing our base and tactics."
"He won't return. Not after seeing his friends massacred like that, and I'll never be able to get used to the feeling of killing an unarmed person, enemy or not. That's why I started the Salzswa tradition, it's still not right but it's more honorable then what they do at the least."
"Why did we even need to set up that ambush, the empire is going to be pissed."
"Do you think I didn't already know that? Jasmine was playing little deals with them, and that was pissing me off, figured it was time to repay the favor."
"Is everything a joke to you Kyle?"
"Only when I'm not sure of something." Kyle left the man and went towards Jasmine's office.

Alice jumped down from the tree with a sigh. Just when she was about to walk back, an arm wrapped around her waist and a sword was poised to her throat. She stood there with an impassive look on her face. "Hello, princess," the man spoke and she froze.

Right before he entered the building Jasmine's office was in someone came up to him. "Sir, when does phase 2 start?"
"We have to give them time to set up a base, they'll send the entire Imperial army for what we just did. There's no way we can fight that, but hell we just showed them we're good for entrapment." He told the person who simply walked off all happy jolly and good.

Alice's breath came out shaky as the blade touched her throat. "So, princess. It's gonna come down to this?" he asked the way a....father would. Oh god...no....nononono.... Tears slid down her face. "Awh, sweetheart. It'll be okay, you'll see." She closed her eyes tightly, hand resting on the holster.

Alice's eyes squeezed shut as the tears continued to leak out from her eyes. "You're quite the special type you know. I'm glad to say that you're my daughter," he spoke softly. She gulped and responded with hurtful words.

"I'll never be your daughter and you will never be my father. No man that has killed their wife by infecting themselves with the demon wolf virus and knew of the consequences...they'll never be forgiven for what they've done." The man gripped her waist tighter, the blade of the sword slowly digging into the sensitive skin of her neck. Bright crimson welled and slowly trickled down.

"You speak formally like your mother did," he commented, ignoring her statement.

The urge to ask for help became too strong. She gave in. Kyle, I know you're back. Please, find me. I need you right now, Kyle. Please.

Do you seriously think I don't know where you are...? Just waiting for permission. Kyle started to run, the times he was glad the rebellion had spies and picket lines... He whistled in the direction of some plain grass outside the base, and a hand rose out of nowhere and pointed towards the tree's. He shook his head, that was the last place he wanted to hear, but he ran in there anyways.

Alice gulped, Well, I'm sorry I can't think straight with a damn sword at my neck, she replied, her voice mentally wobbling from the fear. Her ears picked up footsteps coming her way and she sighed inwardly in relief. "So you brought backup?" His voice was angry. She kept silent.

"I have some friends, yes," she murmured then stomped onto his foot. He yelled, pulling the sword away from her neck and she slammed her boot into his gut. She took out one of her pistols and sat, crouched with the barrel aimed. "Why did you kill my mother?" she yelled, anger feeling her every being.

"She's the current general of the Rebellion, she didn't 'bring' back up, we're assigned to guard her." A voice came from the tree's as 2 men appeared from behind a tree with guns aimed as they kneeled. "And for reference you speak like a slob, I'd much rather her formal talking." He continued.

"Sorry we couldn't help before miss princess general ma'am, but we didn't have clearance to open fire yet. Now we just need you to say we can. Anthony will be here in a minute or two." The other man said.

"And for reference, you shouldn't try to snatch the general of a rebellion, right next to a guard tower if you don't want reinforcements to show up... Just saying." They both laughed keeping their guns aimed. "Gun beats knife bud, now it's her choice what happens to you."

"What he said ma'am, we can kill him, take him prisoner, anything you'd like." They both had a Scottish accent.

Alice smirked as she stood, "At ease until my say-so," she told them as she put the pistol back into her holster. She held out her hand and a large Katana appeared in place. She gripped the hilt and got into a fighting stance. "I'll get my revenge for my mother's death."

"You can try. I'll finish you off for the mistake you are."

Alice lunged and blades locked. Soon, it was a fight to the death.

Alice and her father jumped apart, chests heaving as they both tried to catch their breaths. Sweat covered their bodies along with slices and quickly forming bruises. Blood trickled down Alice's face from the gash on her forehead. Blood leaked from her father's shoulder from the stab wound there.

She looked to the person that shot the two bullets and weakly smirked. No other response was needed. She noticed her father also looking, clearly distracted, and took it as her chance. Letting out a battle cry, she charged towards him, the tip of the blade gliding across the ground creating sparks. He turned towards her and blocked just in time. He pushed her back before slashing his sword towards her, launching her back a few feet with an unseen[1] force.

"Old man, Just stating that your not walking away from this alive." Kyle sat down against a tree before saying, "Everyone, lower your weapons. Come watch the show." A large group of people who surrounded the area came out of cover. "In one corner we have a dumbass that doesn't know how to abduct people correctly, and in the other corner we have a meanie that starts fights before I can make jokes about it."

You better not get hurt.

Sadly, Kyle, I can't make any promises, she replied softly, eyes closing as she stood up. She grimaced and staggered as she got into a fighting stance. Though he was injured, it didn't seem to affect him. He mimicked her stance, eyes hard.

"Ready princess?" he said coolly, not even fazed by the fact that he was ready to kill his own daughter.

Slowly, Alice changed her stance, standing straight, blade facing him. "I'm readd, old man." She swung the blade and charged towards him as he rushed towards her. Blades locked and the battle until the death began.

...Then get ready... her message carried over like a whisper. She ducked and did a backflip, her foot colliding with his jaw. She stood and turned to slash. She charged and tried to but failed. His hands grabbed the hilt of her blade and they both struggled for the control of the sword. Tears filled Alice's eyes as they closed. It looked as if she was finally giving up, as if the pain was too much. His hands yanked it away and one slash across her chest made her gasp in agony and her eyes to shoot open. The blade dragged across the left side of her neck to her right hip. She stood there wide eyed and motionless. He dropped the sword, smirking.

"You're just as weak as your mother, princess."

His words registered in her head and as he turned to the others to attack. She regained enough strength. She grabbed the sword and slashed through his stomach, sending him into the trees. She wouldn't be surprised if he disappeared or ran off.

I'm sorry... she whimpered as her eyes fluttered shut and she fell forward.

Blood pooled from underneath her chest. Her eyes weakly fluttered open, her vision blurry. She tried to breathe but it was hard to do so. Blood spurted and gurgled out of her mouth as she tried to speak.
