Black puss continued to seep through the bruise on her arm. Her face seemed to be peaceful but her brow furrowed and tears slid down her cheeks. A moment later, she eyes squeezed shut tighter before fluttering open.

Xavier ran up the stairs before kneeling next to a crying Alice. He looked up at Kyle with serious eyes, "Hold her down and keep talking to her. She needs to stay conscious."

Alice weakly turned her head towards him, crying softly as her foster dad plunged the liquid into her arm. At first it was just a mere annoyance, like someone had pinched her, but then the pain increased to the point it felt as if there was fire within her veins. She screamed and thrashed around, begging for the pain to stop.

Alice stood outside the base, watching everything with watchful and cautious eyes. Her arms were crossed in front of her chest, her bangs were hanging in her face as they resisted to stay in the ponytail. Her pale green eyes gazed at the sky as she let out a deep breath, her features filled with worry. "What's taking you so long?" she murmured to herself. She shook her head before turning around and walking back to base; the only sound was her combat boots stepping on dead leaves and twigs.

(20-21 but same diff. And wow O.o Kyle was an uber ASShole in that scene xp. that was nothing but coldheart xp)

The remaining troops that had originally left with Kyle ran towards the gate, many of them were carrying stretchers, some of them were carrying eachothers guns. One of the men yelled out "Are they still following!?"
Another man replied, "They're coming still, run faster!" "The base is right there!" "Alright do it now!" Just barely in viewing distance of the base the soldiers stopped running towards the base and turned around. Most of the men on stretchers hopped off of them as if they were fine the whole time, and grabbed weapons from the soldiers carrying extra's.
As they stopped and turned around the soldiers furthest from the base were completely massacred Imperial troops that had now stopped and were running towards cover as they fired.
Back at the base there was a whistle, and the bases main artillery weapons began to fire immediately, they landed hitting no one on either side, but they hit in a wall, shooting up the dirt into a smokescreen. A ton of gunfire opened up on the other side of the wall of dust. The original troops ran into the smoke and disappeared into it fighting on the other side.
