"Leave." Kyle's voice came from the hooded elf. The Lillian elves began to leave the room.
The little girl stood up and walked over to Alice, "Are you feeling better?" Her voice didn't sound familiar at all. Kyle simply remained at the bench with his hood up.

Alice's brow furrowed together, "What?" She weakly sat up, but not much because pain throbbed through her veins. She gasped as she fell back into the pillows, tears threatening to fall down her face. She hissed and whimpered. "W-Who are you?"

Kyle: "Her name's Alicia. We rescued her during another attack while you were passed out." I said my voice cold. "She insisted on staying with me so it's whatever..."

Alice: I looked to him, confused. "What? I...I passed out? How long ago?" What happened?

Kyle: I looked up at a clock on the wall, "About six hours ago." I continued to show little emotion in my voice, with only a slight touch of annoyance.

Alicia: "Don't you remember?" The girl looked confused. "I don't know but I think I'd remember passing out." She giggled.

Alice: I weakly sat up, getting through the pain even though I just wanted to curl up into a ball and cry. I didn't hide that. I did hide the fact, however, that I knew that things were going to get worse. Not for them though. Just for me. I hugged my knees and looked away from them to hide the tears that fell down my face.. "I need to be alone..." I whispered so quietly, I wasn't sure they heard. Like I cared. Oh well.

Alicia: The girl backed away and looked at Kyle, who nodded, and she began to leave the room.

Kyle: "You knew where she went?" The door shut as the girl left.

Kyle: I finally got up and walked over to her dropping a letter onto the bed on the edge she was facing. "This dropped out of your pocket while they were bringing you here." My voice saddened. "Curiosity got the best of me."

Alice: I let out a choked up sob whhen I saw the letter. "I am so sorry...I wanted to tell you..but...I promised."

Kyle: "Hmpf..." I turned towards the door. "The rebellion needs me for an Emergency mission, I need you to be in charge of the base since Jasmine's gone, and I won't be here for a few days." I turned my head to her, "It's not a hard job, so you can rest too."

Alice: I was hurt. I was infuriated. He didn't realize it but I did. "Give that damned job to someone else. I won't be able to do it."

Kyle: "There is no one else!" I turned back to her. "Literally everyone is KIA or MIA right now, we can't account for half the troops that 'should' be here. The shadow and Lillian elves are all bottled up with their own issues, and the Kitsune have pulled out temporarily so they can do things for the pack." My voice suddenly broke. "Now all the people I could trust turned against me."

Alice: I fully turned to him in a quick second, pain shooting into my body like bullets. I ignored it. "I did not turn against you!" I yelled, angered that he could think such.

Kyle: "You didn't?" I asked as my face appeared to be ready to tear up. "Did you?" I asked another question, this one as if it was a quiz though.

Alice: Tears threatened to spill once again, this time from anger and agony and sadness and guilt. God, I felt like I wanted to crawl under a rock and die. "Not once have I turned my back on you, Kyle. Not once. I've got your back. I wish you understood th-" my voice gave out and the lump in my throat made the tears fall. I doubled over, trying not to scream, trying not to crawl into a ball. I tried at least.

Kyle: I knelt down next to her bed. "You are the only one left right now. We'll all fall and die if we don't have a leader." I stood back up, my voice had calmed. "I'll be back one way or another, I just don't know when. Your the only one left I can trust." I took out a key and threw it on the bed before walking out of the room saying, "It's the key to Jasmine's office, don't want the job, simply leave it one of the nurses will pick it up."

Alice: I watched him leave and once he was out of earshot, I curled up into a ball and cried from the pain.

Kyle: It was now time. The rebellion has been prepping this for about a month now. Now that Jasmine didn't have first command to deny it, it was time to use it.

(dont worry bout it) Alice: I weakly sat up and grabbed the key, fingering it and biting my lip. Pain subsided and I shakily stood. My legs nearly gave out but I kept myself up.

The little girl from earlier walked back in. "Careful miss." She smiled at Alice trying to cheer her up a little, "Can I help you?"

Alice: I blinked down at her before forcing a smile. "I don't think you'd be able to help me much. But if you can let me get to know you better, then maybe your help would be appreciated." My voice was quiet so it wouldn't crack again.

The little girl giggled. "I'm Alicia, from the Reznian district." She stopped for a minute as if she was thinking, "Your friend is really nice, so that means you must be too right?" She smiled.
