Alice: I sat down before realizing how little I knew about myself. I sighed and told the truth, "I honestly don't know. Its weird, you'd think a person would know everything about themself..."

Alicia: I tilted my head to the side slightly confused. I yawned, then remembered it's been about 2 days since I slept and I was still walking. A sudden feeling of accomplishment came over me at the same time as a sudden feeling of falling asleep. "Where'd you meet your friend?"

Alice: I smiled and chuckled lightly. "A long time ago. We were just kids," I leaned back a bit, staring at a ceiling. "We've known each other for a while...but I hurt him....I don't know what terms we're on now."

Alicia: She giggled again, "You know, your funny. He's still your friend, not just anyone would yell at a nurse to go away when their bleeding, just so he didn't have to leave your side." Her giggle stopped but she was still smiling, "I suppose he's lucky my mummy taught me how to be a nurse."

Alice: A new wave of shock ran over me. Tears filled my eyes. "What?" I asked, unable to comprehend what she said.

Alicia: "Huh?" I didn't quite understand what she meant but I went on to say, "If you mean your friend, he got really upset when the nurse said he had to be treated in another room. So he said it's here or nothing, and then I offered to help him for the nurse so he didn't get even more upset." I was hoping that would clear what she meant.

Alice: Tears threatened to fall; it was true. "I guess..." Papa was right, a small child said to me in my head. I knew it was a younger me.

I found myself letting go of Alicia's hand and sitting behind the desk. I tried to let the tears stay in my eyes; "Alicia, I'm sure you're tired. You can sleep on the bed over there. I'm sure you need the sleep."
