Emma grimaced, her check ups all finished and a less than spectacular set of results. Her lips were purse and a frown sat on her face, she still had no idea where her damn shipment was.
Her agent had either be incarcerated, in which he'd call, or dead, in which he'd also call. She felt her eyebrow twitch in mild irritation, she already had to get more medical supplies.
"Trevor! I'm going out, you're in charge.. You can catch me on my Avi" She shouted, making her way back up to the store front.
A quick brush off of her steel grey skirt and readjustment of her blouse left her ready to go and out the door. A nod to the guards left her free to go, strutting her way down the street only to slip into one of the many alley ways hidden from sight.
She tossed her hair with a grin, "Easy peasy."
(An Avi is like a cell phone but more advanced, only higher ups have them as they're rather expensive but if you're of Entrepenuer class you are given one once in possession of your business. They act like a laptop but in 3d holograms, functioning out of a little ring worn on the pinkie.)

Riley noted the sudden change in demeanor and shrugged mentally. What her costumer's business was their business, as long as she got her paycheck she didn't really care at all.
She waved off his apology as she focused on the screen, scrolling down the lists.
She pursed her bubble gum pink lips and scanned her eyes over the screen of the pick ups for the day.
"Hmmm..Are you picking up for.. uh.. Nemesis?" She asked, lowering her voice a tad.
If the man didn't know what she was talking about she could just play dumb and vapid.

Okay... Have a safe trip.
But undoubtably, with the number of Nemesis eyes which were watching the streets, she would be fine. He didn't need to worry.
After sorting out the gentleman's bedsheets, the alien gave what looked like a sigh. He was left in charge of a multitude of Humans.
That was a reversal of roles.
Walking out into the main gathering room, a dark yet rather decent sized space, he took a seat upon a box which was laid at the side. He knew that it wouldn't be long before she would return. Then he could help with getting everyone fed.

Aid brows furrowed down at her. What did she think? Anyway, with those sorts of things, shouldn't there be a code? So that people couldn't get that they were dealing with something that was very much illegal...
Whatever.
"Of course," he sighed, tapping his fingernails on the counter.
Glancing around him, he gave a sigh. So, that was what the budget version of his father's business looked like. It was quite...cute.

Josh waited as the alien troops went by. "What the hell caused the need for all of this..." They finally finished passing and he continued on his way to the shop. He reached the door and saw a guy in there already. Dipping into the closest alley again, he waited for him to leave. He couldn't take the chance that he'd be recognized and turned in.

Emma slunk her way to the Medicine's shop, staying to the shadows and whatnot. Once she entered she had to brush her way past other... not so kindly looking fellows until she reached the counter of the pharmacy. Screens glared at her from every angle and the thugs made sure to emphasize their rather large guns.
She scoffed inwardly, but her face became a pleasant sort of smile.
"Hey Gil, it's M.. I need the regular."

Riley nodded and skipped off in the back after asking him to wait a moment or two. Behind the little curtain that hid everything that sat behind the front desk led her past the working stations and finally into storage. She stalked around for a moment until she found the crate she wanted. With a sigh she attached the hover pads and dragged the thing out to the client with a happy grin.
"It's been prepaid for but it's a tad bit heavy.. so if you want I could sell or rent you the pads.. unless you have another means of transportation. Would that be all for you sir?" She asked, wiping her forehead.
She had managed to get oil on her face from the little trip to the back of the shop and she just couldn't seem to get it off.
She appraised the man once more, taking in his shapely body and nice face, his clothes seemed too nice for him to be working class.
She tutted to herself in intrigue, now who was this man?

Aid immediately frowned. They had told him it was large and heavy. He just didn't know it would be that heavy.
No matter. With Nemesis you had to be prepared for surprises. It was a good thing that his method was more than capable.
From his top pocket, he pulled out what seemed to be a coin holder as he walked over to the shipment. Without hesitation, he knelt down on the floor, ignoring the fact that he could get some dust or grit on his suit. Depositing what looked like a small disk, he carefully placed one in the centre of the crate, then a few more in the corners, taking off the hover pads as he went along.
They were so last year.
"I think I'm covered, thank you," he grinned at the girl, "though I do need some 3x2 Buckscrews... Know somewhere I can get some?"
Picking up the pads and placing them on the counter in front of them, he gave a small sigh. He had gotten his knees dirty. Quickly, he brushed off the dirt, it managing to come off rather easily and got back up with a smile.
What money couldn't buy you.

(Argh.. I'm suck, on a boat, surrounded by snoring people, at 3 in the morning and an hour of sleep so far.
Good news, free wi-fi and plenty of battery on my iPod!
Why not have Josh go to the refuge? He can meet with Trevor or something... I don't know. My brain doesn't feel like functioning right now -.-)

((Eh maybe. I think he's gonna go in the shop and get tools before doing that.))

Josh walked into the store after everything passed. He waited for the lady to finish with the guy at the counter. He just needed some tools then he'd be outta there.

(That's fine- I brought Emily out into the alley way- well into a back alley med store- and she's open for stuff)

Riley quirked a shaped eyebrow at him and watched, in mild awe and utter curiosity, as he removed her hover pads and stuck on a few of his own. The only difference was that his were at least half the size and looked to be about twenty times stronger. Riley was practically drooling.
She had heard about them, they were a few too many zeros above her shop's pay grade but it didn't mean she didn't lust over them. In fact, it kind of made her lust over them a little bit more.
That swanky bastard acted like it was nothing and even had the gall to dust off his suit all posh like after it, practically in disdain of the dust. Riley was definitely lusting over him a little too.
She nodded to his request, closing her mouth and quickly going back out to search the screw buckets, muttering to herself about rich strangers and their stupid handsome rich stranger stuff that they did and how she hated it all.
She came back with a small bucket full of the screws and placed it on the counter with a sigh.
"How many would you like?" She asked, pleasant enough.
She still was caught in a haze of him. He had money and stuff. She wanted the stuff. With the stuff and money she could play with the bigger, more expensive toys that rich people had.
Another sigh.
She glanced up at the jingle of the door to smile at her new costumer.

Emily tapped her daintily heeled foot in slight irritation as the attendant took longer than necessary to pack up her order.  She believed that the speed of someone's work should be the speed you do it in if you were held at gun point.
This was molasses slow, at best.
She slid through the new items list on one of the screens as she waited, huming and hawing at all the expensive and fancy new supplies.
It wasn't affordable currently though, and they weren't in need of any of the new medigel.
Finally she was presented with a neatly wrapped box which she promptly took after scanning her wrist to pay for it.
She sighed as she left. Some things were so tedious.

(Emma or Emily?)

Giving a sigh, the young man ran a hand back through his hair, trying to remember off of the top of his head how many he actually did need. Purposely, he dragged the moment on, clicking his tongue, drumming his neat little finger nails on the counter. But after another few moments, he gave up and opened up the blueprints on his Avi.
The blueprints, made by him, clearly showed how one could make a little robot, one which he hoped would fetch him a small fortune when he sold it.
He just needed to find the right buyer.
Ignoring the other customer, he zoomed in on a certain area where a few lines of text were, murmuring to himself as he read over it.
"Fourteen," he declared, putting the screen away, "please."
Then he could get on out of there, drop off the shipment at the little book store and stop by his place so that he could get started on his latest toy...
That's if Emma didn't kill him meanwhile.
She sure is a scary lady.

Josh gave up on trying to get his tools. They could wait until mr. Prissy-pants wasn't taking his sweet time. He walked out and went into the alley to get to the medishoppe. He'd need some stuff in case he was on his own for a while. He wasn't paying attention when he ran into a woman. "Oh god. I'm so sorry ma'am."

(Emma omg srry me being a loopy person again)

Riley counted out the screws, whilst humming and secretly eyeing her client up and down, and placed them on the little counter. She totaled it up on her antique machine and presented him the price with a little smile.
"That will be 22.78 please, would you like a bag?" She sighed lightly and gazed longingly at the high tech the man carried. She'd be there someday, she promised herself that.
Her eyes caught sight of the blue prints his Avi brought up and she couldn't help herself, he eyes zooming in the study the beautiful little metal beast. She frowned lightly as she noted a flaw in the design, and bit her lip in mild panic.
Should she tell him?
He'd know she'd been snooping, perhaps he'd not take too kindly to her criticism. She grimaced.
"Y'know.. I heard.. uh.. with all these new robot designs.. the uh.. mechanics have a habit of not properly calculating the ratio of um..cybernetics to the mass..y'know.." She mumbled, trying to hint his error subtly.

Emma stepped back, mildly startled at the contact and grimaced lightly as she saw her bag and it's contents spread across the wet pavement. Wonderful.
She managed a smile that wasn't scathing and crouched to pick the items up, grimacing as the position made it harder to breathe due to the fabric of her skirt already being tight. Fantastic.
"No problem.. sir..Just an accident." She replied.
She began to shove the things back in and took a moment to take the stranger in.
He seemed a bit run ragged, a bit lack luster in the ways of appearance, and over all rather shifty.
His eyes, she saw one of those tired looks she was used to from all her refugees. Immediately her face softened lightly and she frowned, mama bear threatening to take over while her sense made note that she didn't even know the man.
"Are you okay?" She asked.

No worries, I thought that you brought in a new charrie at first Razz

Aid nodded, "Yes, if you please."
Holding out his wrist, he scanned it under the laser, hearing that little beep to confirm his payment. He have a sigh, glancing over at her sneaking a look at his blueprints. A small smile grew on his lips as her eyes widened...then she bit her lip.
What was she thinking?
Clicking his tongue, he read over his notes again, zooming in on the part which specified about the part she murmured about. To him, they looked good, but they often did. That was why he used to have someone read over them when he was younger; he often rushed the numbers.
"Care to explain?"
Flipping around the hovering screen so that she could see it clearly, he leant on the counter, catching a shocked look on her face.
"And I don't care that you were looking, if you're worried about that," he reassured her.
But she may have just worked her way to earning a rather nice tip.

Riley's face was a bit blank when he found out about her snooping but soon her smile grew as he flipped the display, allowing for a better chance to assess his blue prints and math.
Well, this one ain't so bad.
Her nose scrunched up lightly as she picked out key little element in his design, pointing them out to him before explaining.
"Here, you've done the math correct but you forgot to add in the variables such as weight and the processing speed it would take to reach the main circuit board, which could easily be fixed by either shortening the travel path or adding a small reflector board here. Here.. here is where I know there's something missing but.. I can't quite figure it out.. y'know without further study of her, but I think.. just an educated guess here, but I think her wiring is a tad off which is why the equation here looks a tad.. wonky." She explained.
She looked up at him with a small smile and then glanced back to the work shop behind the curtains, biting her lip.
Would she dare?
He wasn't technically a competitor, and if he was he'd be too far away to do any damage to her little shop. Plus mechanics had to stick together in times like this, right?
"I have a big screen Avi connector if you wanna take a better look.." She offered, kicking the ground lightly with her boot.

Emma's brow immediately creased, the lie blatantly crossing his eyes before reaching his lips. His tell, a glance down and not to mention a guilty child's worth of fidgits, was plain to see and out came mama bear.
She took a step closer and ran a hand through his mildly grimy hair with a frown, tsking, and then prodding his face lightly before poking his ribs and chest. Her hands valued his clothes, pulling at the cheap dirty fabric, and brushed him off a bit.
"Clearly you're not really.. I mean, no offense, but my dog could lie better than you when I ask her if she's stolen a treat.. now.. I'm not gonna turn you in or anything but.. here," She handed him her card, "Unless you wanna go with me now, come here when you can admit that you need help.. "
She offered him a small smile before backing away, adding him to a side list in her mind whilst checking off one errand.
She had a thing for little lost puppies and misfits.

Why do girls get ever so much more appealing when they talk mechanics?
Though he wouldn't admit it, Adrian really wasn't listening as she pointed out all of the flaws in his blueprints. She was leaning on the desk just enough to reveal a little more skin than she would first intend to, and his eyes could easily see the frilly lace of her pink bra.
He snapped back into reality at the mention of going out back.
"Yes, certainly... If its not a problem for you."
He couldn't assume that she owned the shop. But then again, how could he be sure that he wasn't going to mug him? He had shown off his tech and most of it was certainly valuable. He saw the way that she eyed up his Hover Disks, and they were almost nothing to him. He had another roll of them at home.
"Though if your boss comes along and shouts at me, it was your idea."

Lucy shrugged, "I mean it's not like I have anything you could steal..", then lifted the little divider so he could come back with her.
She snorted at his comment as she pushed the burlap curtains aside, he thought he'd get her in trouble. Cute.
"I am the boss, sweetie." She said with a grin.
It was more of a recent thing but she was still rather proud of it. She wasn't the owner, of course, but she did run practically all of the day to day needs of the little shop.
Her walk had a little more swagger of pride as she lead him to the docking station, swerving around various crates and bits of machinery.
"Here we go."

Emma smiled and then unloaded her bags into his arms, "If I'm taking you in then you'e carrying my stuff." She explained simply before turning her walk into a brisker, quicker little thing.
Even in heels she could move quickly, and the guards paid no attention to him as they walked by, she with a purpose and he somewhat twitchy.
In truth she had given her things to him so he'd seem like a slave, and be given no questioning looks by the patrols.
She didn't want to carry her things either, though.
Within minutes they were back at her store front and she was pushing him through the unlocked door and to the little trap door around back. Once down the stairs she picked up her papers and checked through things again.
"TREVOR! I brought back another one.. and where is my DAMN SHIPMENT?!" She shouted, a frown creasing her face.
No one seemed to look up from their work.

Riley, not Lucy *ahem*

In this part of town, I can believe that.
Aid couldn't help but raise a brow as she said that she was the one in charge. A pretty little thing like that? So young, so...delicate?
He couldn't really believe it. But then again, he had been surprised many times before in that neck of the woods.
Even so, he couldn't move his eyes from the sashaying little butt of her's. He didn't know whether she was doing that on purpose or not, but even so, he was certainly enjoying the view.
As they reached the big screen, Aid slipped off of his Avi and dropped it into the cradle which read his device. But as it loaded up, he gave a sigh, glancing around the pokey little shop.
It certainly wasn't like the factory he grew up knowing. That was all clean, modern, top-of-the-range. All the surfaces were spotless, all of the people were, too.
...That place was simply grubby.
But he couldn't help but notice one thing, however.
"Is that a CC 2.45 Flybot?!" he almost exclaimed, almost childishly, "I haven't seen one of those in years!"
Dropping his attention from the blueprints popping up on screen, he climbed over a box to reach the tiny thing and it's monitor on a desk. He couldn't wipe a smile from off of his face.
Why? Because he designed it.

Trevor heard his name and snapped back into reality. In his head, he had been singing a little tune as he worked, helping to finish off the cleaning.
A new person?
Though he would never question Emma's word, the Grink couldn't help but think if they had enough beds.
The only one left was the one next to him, and no-one wanted to sleep near Trevor.
Either way, he made his way to the clearing where Emma stood, along with another grubby face, much like he was used to. With what seemed to be a sigh, Trevor took what was in the new man's arms and made what seemed to be a little clicking noise.
If you could tell him to follow be, please.

Josh looked around and when he notice the alien he hid his face behind his hair. He didn't want to be recognized. If anyone asked him he wasn't sure if he would say his real name or not. But right now he was just focused on hiding his identity from this Trevor.

(Bookie needs to sleep more because she mixes up all her character names..she also needs someone to cuddle her but that's a different matter)

Riley looked back him, away from the blue prints now up on the planning screen to grin at him as he check out the bot on her desk. She grinned, that was one of the first pieces of tech she'd tinkered with, the thing that got her into Ricky's, she kept it for sentimental value.
It was nice to know other people remembered it.
"Yeah, an original.. though I had to fix it up a bit.. it's tech was getting a bit old. Named her Delilah, she's a sweetie." Riley chirped, itching her arm with the tattoo.
She turned back to the screen, letting him check out the little bot as she played with the diagram's configurations.

Emma tutted and cuffed the man in the back of his head, "Trevor isn't gonna hurt you, he's a sweetie. So just follow him, and while you're at it you can pass him the med stuff. Welcome to Nemesis friend. Trevor, make note that I shall punch my agent in the stomach for being this late...if he's still alive that is" She said, brusquely.

Rebels in the dark - Page 2 Empty Re: Rebels in the dark

Post by Gifty Mon Sep 02, 2013 5:45 pm

Name: Hamlet
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Caste: Servant
Appearance:
Eyes: A dark blue with a ring around his irises that is a very light almost crystalline looking blue colour. Silver flecks spot the dark blue looking almost like stars.
Hair: Brown hair that is very messy and usually matted with blood and sweat.
Skin: a pale sun tanned due to a change in working outside and working inside.
Body Type: About 6'2" tall and very VERY muscular. He has abs and very well developed biceps and thighs.  He is covered in scars, the worst in one on his back which is one long line but it branches off in jagged lines it covers his whole intimation back and even some of his shoulders. There are claw and bite marks on his face from having been attacked by a dog while trying to escape from his second master, the one who gave him the back scar. The right side of his face has ugly burn scars from him trying to save a friend of his, the daughter of his last master, his right arm is all scared with burn scars and pretty much the rest of his right side. Surprisingly his hair grew back after the fire burnt it off. He's not the best looking guy due to all the scars but he was once very good looking.
He has four “brands” ( Tattoos) from his four previous masters.
His first- A large brand on his leg which looks like a long a twisting flame.
Second- A small brand that looks like a lotus and a rose intertwined on his left arm.
Third- A lion looking cat on his shoulder blade, the scar on his back has torn the lion up a bit.
And
Fourth- A serpentine dragon that ends on the left side of his neck as starts at his left hip.
Clothing:
Other: His personality~ If you see him in a room he is always in the back and/or in the corner. He's not exactly very sociable because he's never learned to be sociable. He has a sort of presence that makes people move away from him even if they don't see his face or the numerous brands on his arm, leg and neck. He is stubborn unless you earn his trust or force him to listen to you. Generally he isn't nice to anyone especially those who are a upper class men. He stereotypes everyone. If you do earn his trust he will die for you.
History:  When he was six years old his parents where forced to choose between selling their daughter or their son into slavery. When they got a marriage proposal from a rich noble for their daughters hand try sold Hamlet (not his real name I must add) and accepted the offer. After all they where noble who owned a large merchant if business that had been going under. Hamlet was sold to a very old woman but a very VERY rich woman. (the woman kept calling him Hamlet so he forgot his real name) He spent a year carrying for her before she died and her son claimed Hamlet as his personal slave. Hamlet then earned his first brand, the son took out his anger on the seven year old Hamlet who took the punches. After the first few broken bones the son sold Hamlet to a rich family owned many of the farms. They had five daughters and a young boy. The boy was who he was ordered to serve, he was ten years old then, he enjoyed this family. He was ordered to play with their son, who was the same age as he was, and he serve him food. Soon the boys became like brothers until Hamlet turned twelve and the boy became ill. To pay for the medication Hamlet was sold once again. This was the master he hated the most. He was a drunken man who owned a huge labor work force. Hamlet, who had become relaxed from his last family, was forced to work out in the sun and then inside at night. He became deathly ill and sleep deprived. One day he collapsed and the mans daughter saved him. She was fifteen years old, a year older than he was, and as she nursed him backup health they became close friends. Problems arose when a fellow slave named George dragged him along as he tried to escape, Hamlet had just turned fifteen, the dogs got Hamlet and when the man found him he was furious. He got the scar then(it would be a bit to inappropriate thing to describe here due to how gruesome it would be) along with the dogs bite marks. Not seven months later George came back after his successful escape and set fire to every inch of the mans property. Hamlet escaped barely the first time until he saw the daughter struggling to he out. He ran back in and tried to save her but was too late. A wooden beam trapped her inside the house and he was burned horribly. The man left him on the ground not bothering the take him to the market and sell him. Hamlet woke up covered in bandages and in the huge estate of a royal woman. She had taken him in after the fire and that's where he is now.
His other masters would send him into book stores, one of which happened to be a place where Nemesis was at, he learned about it for the first time there. The master he has now sends all her metalwork and technological things to be repaired at Adrian's shop, which she quite likes, and since she is one of the royals she can afford the best of the best stuff, getting somethings before it is even released to the public yet. The new master loves technology and is fascinated by that type of stuff.

( I hope this works... )

(Yep- perhaps could you specify if he know about Nemisis or any of the affiliated partners to it, like is he totally unrelated to any of the other characters? Or has he been into one of the shops or such, like bringing some of the royal woman's technology to be repaired or what not- Btw he's a very interesting character, if you read through the last few posts it might help when trying to place him in the chat, we have an order going about- Open- Leilani- me, so if you'd like to go after me and we do it like that, we could work you in that way- kay?)
