James looked up, despair as he shook his head.
"No..nononono... she.. she promised me.. we'd be together.. nonono..." He trailed off.
His arms shook and he was worried he might drop the baby.
He looked at the nurse.

James nodded and let the woman lead him into the room where his wife was. He put the baby in the nurse's steady arms and stumbled over to his wife. Tears leaked out of his eyes but he pressed a hand to his chest, his lips, her lips then her chest.
Where they shared a scar.
He closed his eyes and pressed his lips to hers and hummed a song.
"Come back.. Come back to me baby..."

As James kissed her cold lips, a lonely beep came to life on the EKG. But it was only one beep.

James' heart skipped a beat as hers let out a beep and he pressed his lips back. Take a bit of me, he thought desperately.
"Come back..." He pleaded.

The nurse watched with sad eyes close to tears.
She was a slightly older woman, about ten-fifteen years older than the couple. She had long dark hair but there was something familiar about her.
She had high cheekbones and soft pouty lips. Her face seemed to only start having signs of aging with smile wrinkles that could be easily mistaken for dimples.
But it was her eyes.
Round and an icy green with a hint of blue surrounding the pupil.
She had a scar near her eye and one across the corner of her lip.
"Please save my daughter," she whispered, revealing an accent that seemed to be from northern Italy, specifically Napoli.

Another beep came but it faded.

James was a little too desperate to hear her.
He planted his lips to hers, encouraged by the beep.
He closed his eyes and tried to picture her waking up, trying to figure out how to make her wake up, do something magic.

The young mother's finger twitched a little as another beep came to life.
Memories of love and devotion and motherhood filled her head, causing a string of heartbeats to awaken the EKG.

An hour later, Raela was in a hospital room with the baby girl in her arms.
She gazed down at her with loving eyes as she lightly stroked her cheek. She looked to James tiredly.
"We need to pick a name, honey."

Jason stroked his son's head, humming softly.

June licked her lips as her eyes fluttered open.
"Babe? How.. How long was I asleep?" She asked groggily, trying to sit up only to wince a little in discomfort.

Raela smiled sleepily.
"Our beautiful little Angel," she whispered, leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.

Jason looked up at her and smiled. "About an hour or so," he murmured quietly, keeping his voice gentle as to not disturb the sleeping babies in his arms.

"Sweet... Why don't I take the baby for a little bit so you can sleep?" He asked softly.

June rubbed her forehead with a groan.
"We still have to name the parasites now, don't we?" She murmured softly, a smile on her face.

June grinned, "Why don't we just name them both Kim? Or Sydney... they're unisex names.. Or perhaps Socrates and Simoa... Or maybe Aristotle and Helvetica..."
Her outrageous name choices made her giggle more, she really had no idea on what to name them. She loved them all the same.

James nodded and stroked her hair.
"Okay, whatever you want..." He said dreamily.

Raela's eyes sleepily peeled open at the sound of a baby crying. She sighed softly.
"I got her this time," she murmured to her husband but frowned, seeing the empty spot beside her. She then remembered, he had to work overtime for the big project at work. She sighed and got up, rubbing her eyes as she walked to the nursery.

Jason sat in the nursery with June, watching over their sleeping twins with the now one year old Ameila in his arms.

James rubbed his eyes and glanced at the clock. They had been at it all night and they just couldn't find the right parameters that made the clients happy. He was beginning to think they wouldn't be able to find an answer.

June groaned.
"My boobs feel weird." She complained.
It was after pregnancy and she was losing weight and trying to get back to normal but her body just felt tired.
Her scheduled was messy and so she felt.. out of place.
