James groaned and rubbed his eyes, they had begun to itch after a while, the taxes had to be paid in a month and he hated trying to add everything up. He tilted his head, in curiosity, and grimaced as a little song of spinal cracks echoed down his back. Wonderful.
He stood, pushing the receipts aside and making his way to the nursery, the crying had caught his attention.
"Rae, baby, is it Angel?"

June snuggled closer, nuzzling the warm chest and kissing it absent mindedly. She slowly opened her eyes and frowned, her body's slight ache making her want to stay still.
"Ja...Jason.. What happened?" She groaned.

Raela turned around to her husband with a nod. "I think she had a nightmare..," she answered. She began to gently sway as she looked down to Angel, stroking her cheek and humming softly.

Jason hugged her close, kissing the top of her head. "You changed and passed out right after. I had to take you home after that."

James nodded, nightmares seemed to run rampant in their family. He strolled over to Raela and kissed her cheek tenderly, caressing his child's head in the process.
"Good thing she has you.." He murmured to her softly.

June frowned. She... Changed?
"Like... into a wolf? What?" She sputtered, a bit scared now.

Raela gave him a small smile, looking up to him so she could kiss his jaw. She then looked back down to Angel, stroking her cheek and beginning to hum softly.

Jason nodded, his hold on her a bit tighter, just to comfort her. "Yeah...You completed your change...It won't happen every month at every full moon...It'll be whenever you decide. Sometimes, we'll have to Change so it becomes less painful for you."

James grinned, things were good.
"Uh.. when she settles down.. do you think you could help me with the balancing.. My eyes are going crossed from the effort."

June sighed with a bit of relief, it was bad enough that she had one time of the month, it would be hell if she had two. She would be hell.
"O..Okay..wait.. how our my babies.. I didn't hurt them did I?!" She struggled lightly out of panic.

Raela smiled and nodded. "Yeah..," she whispered before setting Angel down. She grabbed the small baby blanket and covered her before turning on her mobile.

Jason shook his head. "Shh...They're okay. I got Raela, James, and Kayla to hold them while you were transitioning. They're over at Kayla's right now for a playdate with her cousin's son."

James smiled and made his way back to the office, taking a detour to the kitchen to collect another cup of coffee.
He needed it.

June nodded and let out a breath.
They were safe.
She had a new life ahead of her.
Things were going to be a lot different from now on, weren't they?

Raela came up beside him, placing a hand on his bicep. "How about you go wake up Taylor and the boys and I finish up the balances. Okay?"

Jason placed his chin atop her head with a soft sigh and continued to hold her. "It's gonna be okay..."

James smiled gratefully at her and stood, after taking a gulp of the coffee. He made his way out of the room, a big smile on his face.

June nodded and cuddled closer.
At least she could move her body again.

Jason smiled at this and nuzzled her hair.
