Raela followed, shaking.
"H-He wasn't b-breathing..."

"They'll save him. Now we focus on making sure we aren't gonna die."
June said as the doors opened, taking them into a darker room, a nurse sat at a desk typing away and looked up, seemingly startled.
"Cherries aren't that good this time of year."
"No I suppose they're not. Paging Doctor Viktor..."

Her eyes were wide and terrified. "Please save him..."

June grabbed Raela's face in her hands as the rest of their group was shuffled away to beds for their own treatment.
"Calm the fuck down. I know you're scared but this is doing your boys no good, living and getting healthy will do them far more than panicking and crying." She said.

[Cali]

She was frozen with fear, the tears trickling down.
"I-If I had stuck with the plan..."
Her heart was pounding and she was sucking in breaths, hyperventilating.
"I-It's my f-fault...I-I should have watched over th-them...."

June turned her head to the side and sighed roughly, her normal approach wouldn't work with this woman. She bit her cheek and turned back, bringing her hand up slowly to brush a bit of hair away.
"It's too late now, what's done is done. All you should worry about is your sons and yourself. Get yourself looked after, an injured weak woman is in no state to take care of two rowdy little boys like yours. Okay? I need you to help me now, do your part. Go get cleaned and bandaged up and then return to me stat. Got that?"

She sniffled and nodded before hugging June tearfully.
"Thank you...Thank you for helping me get them back..," she whispered then went inside to get looked at.

June rubbed her forehead tiredly and backed up so she was leaning against a wall. She pat herself down, a quick way to see whats hurt and whats not.
Her ribs made a complaint and so did her legs at the quick pat down but other than that she was fine.
She sighed and pulled off her glove, smiling at the engagement ring that sat there.
She wanted to end this life here and start her new one as soon as possible.
The fear only a tingle in her bones now.

Raela sat down on one of the empty beds and just stared ahead as they treated the wounds she had.
She didn't notice her name being said by her best friend.
Kayla frowned and looked to James worriedly.

James shook, less than before, as the doctors got needles and and put things in his I.V.
Shock was a nasty bastard, and when you coupled it with other injuries... it could be downright deadly.

[Cali]

Kayla approached him and sat down beside him. "James...James, you need to pull it together," she whispered for only his ears. "Raela looks like she's going to break...she needs you..."

James gave her a shakey grin and a fumbled attempt at a thumbs up.
"I'm fine, I just have a little case of shock.. no big deal.. I'll get through it in a few.."
He tried to take a deep breath but it caught in his throat and he choked for a moment.
"Better already..."

The formerly-blonde now ravenette frowned at this and sighed.
"Your wife needs you James...Your boys need you."

James bit his lip and couldn't help but give her a little glare.
"I.. know that.. I am trying... you.. try.. to get over... shock... in a matter of minutes...." He spat out, wincing at the effort.

"I have," she retorted softly before looking to Raela worriedly.
"She's already gone by now," Kayla whispered solemnly.
She watched her best friend just stare ahead, as if all emotion and life had been stripped away from her.

James grimaced and sat up, willing himself to be a bit better.
"Well.. I apologize for my invalidness..."
"Raela...." He called softly.

However, his wife didn't answer. Her eyes blinked slowly but she gave no sign of recognition.
"This isn't good..," Kayla whispered.

James sat up fully and, to the doctor's dismay, began to make his way to her, weakly.
By the time he was by her side he was panting and bleeding from where the I.V.s had been pulled out.
"Raela...Love?"

The doctors began to grow extremely worried for the woman who said nothing.
Her blank stare was focused on nothing, just straight ahead, past the walls. It was as if she was somewhere else.
But it was also as if all emotions were just...gone.

James looked to Kayla worriedly.
"I don't know what to do... Kayla? Any ideas?"

[Cali]

"She put up her walls...You know better than anyone else what to do," she spoke softly.
It was often that she heard from James when this happened. Speaking to her and trying to assure her was what worked best.
She just hoped for James and their boys' sake that it did work.

James wrapped his arms around Raela and began to talk to her, normal things like it's going to be okay and what not. He talked about how their boys were fine, the doctors were taking care of them.
He caressed her cheek and started to hum their song.

Slowly, tears trickled out of her eyes as she began to slump against him, eyes shutting and her hands coming up to hold his arm, her body shaking.
She then began to cry, curling into him.

James let out a breath of relief and rubbed her back, his tremors were almost gone but he still needed his arm stitched up.
What did it matter though?

Sniffling, she ran her fingertips along the slice on his arm and watched as it slowly healed.
"It's my fault...It's my fault that...that Benji-"
She was cut off by footsteps running towards them and a loud "Mommy! Daddy!"
She gasped and raced over to Declan, falling to her knees and catching him in a hug as she began to sob. "Oh, Declan...You're okay," she sobbed in relief, pressing kisses onto his messy dirty hair and cheeks, observing him for any injuries.

James wrapped his arms around the two of them and then looked up. A doctor walked forward slowly with a stumbling Benji.
"Benji? It's daddy.." James murmured pulling the weak child into his arms.
