Ayumi buried her face into his chest, crying softly. "I'm sorry for not letting you in. I'm sorry," she trembled slightly. Sakura stood back, watching the scene unfold with a slight smile on her face.

Sai held her tightly. "It's okay, baby. I'm sorry for not trying harder. I promise, if you giving a second chance, I will never mess up like this again."

Nite believed him, she could see the honesty in his eyes.

Ayumi held onto him. If she let go, she felt as if he would disappear or worse; she would wake up chained and bleeding all over in that cold room on that metal table. The thought made her shake the way she would when the memories came. She pulled away and buried her face into the crook of his neck.

Nite had long since left, feeling as if she were intruding on a private intimate moment.

Sasuke and Sakura had left with Nite, not wanting to ruin the moment they were having.

Ayumi giggled softly, one last tear falling as she nuzzled her forehead against his. "I missed you, Sai. More than anything, I missed this...I missed us being like this," she whispered.

Nite, Sasuke, and Sakura all sat in Nite and Sasuke's living room, eating pocky and watching american soap operas.

Sai smiled. "I missed you too, Ayumi. I missed, holding you like this. I missed being with you so much that it hurt."

Sakura shook her head as one girl slapped the other for sleeping with her husband.

Ayumi sighed softly, a look of pain coming across her face. "Why did you give up on me, Sai? I was so close..."

Nite grimaced as the women fought. "I don't get it, if she lvoes her husband and she loves her husband why not marry each other's husbands?"

Sai siged. "I just...I couldn't take any more of the wondering and worrying. I just snapped. I'm sorry."

"And that's why I don't like American Soap Operas," she said as she shook her head. Sasuke was burying his face in his laptop, playing some game. Sakura looked over at his screen and smirked, "You still play that?" she remarked and he glanced over.
"Yeah. So?"
She shook her head smiling and watched TV again, chewing on an Almond Crunch Pocky.

Ayumi shook her head, smiling as tears fell once more. "It's in the past. Right?" She beamed up at him. These tears were of happiness. "It's time to start new, to start our lives again so we could be at that place we were once at. I want us to be the way we were before, Sai. No more lies, no more hiding...No more worrying," she spoke in her soft voice that had a mixture of Konoha and Gaioh accents. She leaned up and kissed him softly, her fingers touching his cheekbone lightly.

Nite nodded in agreement and change the channel. "Oh! I love this show!" Hidamai Atashi EYE flashed on the screen. (Left eye detective eye.) "Oh, This is the one where Ainosuke killed Yumeto!"
