Ayumi nodded and hung up with a sad sigh, looking at her luggage as one solitary tear slid down her cheek.

Nite put the phone down. "Sasuke, let me up. I have to go meet Ayumi at Ichiraku.

Sasuke shook his head in disapproval. "I might just help you with that." He brushed a strand of hair away from her forehead before kissing her temple softly. "Go; before she gets mad at you for being late."

Sasuke watched as she walked out.

Ayumi sat on the stool inside Ichiraku's, sipping her water with sad eyes. A duffle bag and suitcase sat on the ground beside her.

Ayumi held back tears. "Konoha is my home, yes, but so is Gaioh. There is this chance that I can finally find out who I am...who my parents were..." She shook her head. "I don't know how long I'll be gone...or if I'll ever come back."

Nite took her best friends hand. "It's alright, I understand. Just promise after you get settled Sasuke Seto and I can come visit, alright?" she asked hugged her almost-sister.

"I know...I know." She pulled away and threw the duffle over her shoulder before grabbing the handle of the suitcase. She started to walk towards the exit.
