Sakura watched with tears streaming down.
"Ayumi..."

Tears filled the wife of Sai's eyes. "I don't want to die," she rasped out.
Her hand weakly tightened around his.

He shook his head, "I won't let that happen, Ayumi..." he whispered softly, biting his bottom lip.

Ayumi weakly nodded and felt her eyes drifting shut. "So sleepy......."

Sakura went into action. "Sai, you, Naruto and Nite get Ayumi to the hospital. Sasuke and I will finish things off here."

Sai nodded as Naruto rushed over to help, neither appearing to need help carrying the light woman.

Nite nodded softly and looked to her sister and lover, "Be careful. My sixth sense is tingling."

"We'll be fine. Now go," she urged quickly.

Ayumi began to sputter up blood.

Nite nodded and led the two men carrying hher friend back the way they'd come.

Ayumi's breaths shook as her eyelids fluttered.
It took most of her energy to try and focus on her husband, but her strength was wearing thin. She was fading.
Her vision blurred and it became harder and harder to recognized who was who.
"S-Sai..," she hoarsely whispered but her voice was so weak that she began to wonder if he really heard her.
I can't die...If I do...They'll be able to hurt me...and they'll go after Ryou...and Yuuki...and everyone, my family...

Sakura looked to Sasuke as they each readied their Katana's and stood back to back.
The sounds of footsteps pounding grew closer and closer.
"You sure you're up for this?" the man asked the pinkette.
"Of course. How about we see who kills the most?" she smirked, looking at him from over her shoulder.
He returned the look. "Of course, I'm going to win."
She scoffed. "We'll see about that."

Sai felt water fill his eyes just like the last time. "Ayumi, hold on..." he whispered hoarse. "Please, just hold on. I love you so much..."

"We'll see about that," Mitsuki said, drawing out her own katana. She smirked at her cold-eyed brother and then to her fiance, "Let's kill some bitches-" she caught her fathers gaze, "I mean....let's kill some scum?"

[Cali]

Ayumi sputtered up some blood, the sound a loud and ominous gurgle.

Natsume smirked at this as Sasuke took no notice. This was different. This was a battle.
"Go," Sakura said and they all broke into various fights.

Sai panicked, "Nite!" he cried to the Neko, who stopped, turning back. He looked up at her helplessly, all his training vanishing from his mind.

Nite looked at him and new what he meant. What did he do? "Sai," she said calmly, as if talking to a student. "Focus your chakra to your feet and run."

He took a deep breath and looked at Naruto who nodded, "I'll help you," he replied, doing the same.

Mitsuki leap like quick silver, her take-no-prisoners training kicking in as she shredded men left and right, blood smearing all over her.

[Cali]

Within a few minutes, the men had been disposed of.

Ayumi's head began to tilt back, eyes fluttering.

Mitsuki dusted off her gloved palms, nodding firmly.

Sai gritted his teeth, whimpering as is chakra collected at his feet and sent he and the 'Kage off in a blur.

Natsume looked over everyone before he cleared his throat.
"We should head back to Konoha."

Ayumi let out a weak whisper of three words, 'I love you', before her eyes shut and her head lolled back.

Mitsuki nodded, "You're right," she said softly, turning towards the mouth of the cave.

Naruto and Sai rushed towards the village gates which had rise into sight.

[Cali]

Her hand, which was resting on her profusely bleeding stomach, slowly slid off, limp.

Natsume took off running with his mother and soon-to-be father in law following.

Sai felt tears sliding down his cheeks as he raced through the city, yelling for Ino.

Mitsuki sighed softly and followed closely, her own sixth sense on high alarm.

[Cali]

Ino turned around, eyes wide with Shikamaru beside her. Yuuki and Tsuki were at Daycare with Kurenai Yuhi, Asuma's widowed wife.

Sakura raced a little faster than the others.

Sai bounded towards the hostpital with such an urgency that he didn't notice them.

Nite sighed softly and sped up, fists clenched tightly. How did every one she cared ffor get caught up in trouble.

Ino took off after Sai.

Sai rushed in, looking around, "Ino! Where's Ino? Quick!"

[Cali]

"I'm right here, Sai!" she yelled from behind before racing ahead of him. "Come on!"

Sai followed her urgently, eyes wide.

[Cali]

"Get her on the damned table now!" she urged as they ran into the emergency room.

Sakura raced into the hospital with Mitsuki, Natsume, and Sasuke. "Guys stay here with Naruto, Nite, and Shikamaru. I gotta help out Ino," she rushed out and then took off once more.

[Unabound Justice]

Sai sat her on the table obediently, panicked sobs wracking him.

Nite nodded and gestured the large group over to the chairs, "Alright, everyone try to remain calm," she encouraged softly as a stir arose among the other people who had seen the debacle, "This stuff happens. It'll be alright." She put on a strong bravado, though inside all she wanted to do was cry.

[Cali]

Ino quickly put her hair up just as Sakura ran in swiftly, doing the same.
"Ino, step back."
Her eyes bugged out of her head practically. "Are you kidding me!?"
Sakura's sharp firm gaze made her stagger back.
The pinkette placed her hands on Ayumi's chest. Bright white light burst form the two, green eyes slamming shut.
There was a very faint glimmer of Ayumi's chakra. She hung on tightly.

Sasuke placed his hand on Nite's shoulder as Natsume held Mitsuki close, standing by Ryou and Sai.
