She mimicked his position, "Why yes, I do." She spoke formally. "In fact, my foster dad was with me asking what I had for homework." She pouted, "By the way, sorry to change the subject, but did you do Burnes' homework? I kind of...didn't." She giggled and smiled.

Alice groaned before laying her head in her hands. "I'm dead. If Pops finds out I didn't do it, I'm grounded! Ugh, no singing classes for moi." She said in a blonde girl's 'ohmigod' voice.

Alice giggled at Kyle and looked to Jimmy, another good friend to the two pre-teens. "Pleeeease, Jimmy?" she said sweetly and batted her eyes at him.

Alice giggled, "Thanks a bunch." She gave him a smile before everyone quickly turned back around as Mr. Gilmore walked back into the class. He scanned the class before pointing a finger at Alice and gesturing for her to come here. She quickly looked to Kyle, her eyes wide before turning back and getting up. She walked to him and Gilmore lead her outside to be with the principle. When the door closed, everyone was talking about what just happened. Then, the four in the far right row were laughing and talking about, 'The trouble maker that is getting what she deserved.'

A hand gripped Kyle's wrist. It was Alice. Tears streaked her cheeks. Nate laughed at her, "Something wrong, sweetheart."

"Go screw yourself, Nate," she yelled. This got everyone's attention. Especially when he got up and pushed her down to the ground. She simply got up and, finding herself losing control, she punched him. This caused him to sit back in his seat. Her hands shook as she suddenly ran out of the class, crying. She ran and ran, noticing no one was in the halls, until finding the room Kyle showed her on the first day. She ran in, quietly, and shut the door softly. She went to the corner of the room before blowing off the steam in the form of punching the wall. Sadness filled her and the fear of losing her foster dad mocked her.

Shocked the boy watched her run out of the room. He turned kicking the kid ned Nate in the chest before running after her. He ran down the hallway having a good idea of where she was. Kyle checked for teachers before rushing into the abbandoned room, he ran over and grabbed her arms worriedly. "Alice... What happened, calm down."

The young girl cried hysterically, shaking. Her hands gripped his shirt and her forehead rested on his shoulder. "M-My dad. H-He...he's at the h-hospital. S-someone sh-sh-shot him!" she cried. She couldn't lose the only parent she had. Yes, Dr. Xavier Holland wasn't her biological, but he was her father nevertheless.

The boy hugged her trying to calm her. "I'm sure he'll be fine." I tried to assure her. I knew very little for sure but I wanted her to be calm until she knew for sure what happened.
