"Don't let them bother you." Kyle told her, 2 of the guardians passed by staring at us slightly. They kept their guns held at ease though so there was no real reason to worry. The school had gone to lockdown about 2 days ago and the guardians were in place to make sure no one tried to rise up again.

Alice's soft voice responded, "Are they always like that? Are they always so...mean?" She finally looked to him, revealing how confused and slightly scared she was. "I know it's a stupid question...it's just...I've never gone to school before today. That's why I'm so shy. I don't have many friends...I don't know much."

Kyle smiled a little bit. "Everyone has bullies here. Even the bullies have bullies. They'll go away, I promise."

The young girl looked down, smiling shyly. "Thank you for being nice to me," she said as she loosely held her drawing pad close. After a few moments of silence, Alice spoke up. "Do you really think my drawings are good?"

The young girl smiled, "Thank you..." She opened her drawing pad to a random page and saw it was her most recent one. The picture showed a girl, who looked much like herself, being chained to a wall. Her head hung in shame and her clothes were tattered. Her teeth were sharp and stained with blood. Her eyes were a bright red. "What the...?" she whispered, her eyes wide. "I-I...I never drew this before. At least, I don't r-remember drawing it."

Alice nodded before following him. She then stopped at a trash can, ripped out the paper, and threw it away. That picture scared her. She then went back to Kyle without saying a word. The brunette had tears running down her face as she trembled slightly.

The young boy pulled her quickly to the side into an empty room and shut the door quickly. "Wait." He whispered to her.

The girl blushed, her eyes widening with fear. She trembled lightly, scared. "W-Why?" she whispered quietly, her voice barely heard.

"Command, we have recieved orders, we will begin the search for the two children. Orders for if they cannot provide an ID..." A voice from outside the door passed, and his voice faded out of hearing distance.

The boy didn't reply, instead he went over to one of the desks and started trying to quietly move it infront of the door.

Alice hugged herself, scared. She looked around, trying to understand everything that was happening. Was this normal for school? Was this normal at all?

The boy looked at Alice, "Don't worry this isn't something that happens everyday. I forgot my ID today, and I didn't know if you had one. They get really mean if you don't have it." He frowned. "No one comes in this room, since I'm showing you the school figured I'd start with the places to hide." He smiled a little.

"No need to thank me. This isn't the best of places to go to school, a lot of people are mean here, but you'll make friends and start to get a group together." He smiled remembering his first few days of ridicule and torture.

The girl's eyes went wide and sparkled with excitement. "That'd be so cool if it was!" she giggled, her mood clearly lighter than before. She looked around before gazing at everything.

"Well, its an awesome hiding place." she giggled. Alice didn't know that this would soon become her hiding place for her to be safe. The image changed and it was a year later. Alice sat in the back with Kyle sitting behind her. Bored, she rested her chin on her hand and yawned quietly.

The boy held his hands up as if a cop was about to arrest him and said, "Don't blame me, my job's just to make you laugh occasionally." He joked.
