Connor: "Hey, you still there?" I ask, checking all of my switches and lights. "And, I believe you when you say you'll kick my ass." I smirk a little. But she doesn't answer. "Um...helllooo?" I flick the mic, making a face. "Earth to Lucy...?"

Lucy: I stare intently at the man, he just seem so familliar, who could he be? Conner's voice slowly brought my mind back.
"Ya..uh hun... What? Sorry Conner, there just this guy. An engineer to the looks of it, I just have that deja vu feeling." I say thinking. My mind was completely puzzled, then I saw him start to walk towards me his face getting clearer by the second. Then I realized who he was, a numbbing shock went through me.
"Oh My god."

Connor: My forehead creases. "What? What's wrong? Lucy!" I clench my jaw. "I swear to god Luce, what the hell is wrong?" I demand, anxiety rushing through me.

Lucy: I gasped again words not forming in my mouth. I felt the cold terror that I was all to familliar with rush through my viens.
"C-c-conner. I-its my d-d-d...d-d-dad." I spit out finally.
I saw him die, it couldn't be him. It was just like Avery, I watched him be dragged away screaming at me to run.
And I did.
For him, but I've always regretted it, every night. Every day.

I grip the steering wheel tightly. "Lucy. You gotta be strong. But right now--"
On your marks--
"I can't really help you--"
Get set--
"I know you can get through it."
Go!

Lucy: I cling to Conner words in my mind, 'Lucy.You gotta be strong...' I had to be strong. How could I be strong, the man raised me. I watched him die basically. Now he stood infront of me, just watching. I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out, I must've looked like a fish. Something broke inside, probably my restraint, and I sprinted the distance and flung myself onto him in a hug. He even smelled the same, cologne and burnt rubber from car tires. I feel his arms wrap around me, the same strong arms that would carry me to bed at night.
"Lucy, this is important. I am okay, they expect me to kill you. Stay away from me baby girl, I love you, They made me do this. I love you baby girl." He whispered into my ear while stroking my hair.

Just like that he let go and walked away, leaving me a crumpled mess on the cement viewing platform.
"Conner?"

Connor: I weave through the cars easily, not thinking twice. "Yeah. I'm right here." I wince as I have to screech the tires to dodge Clarkson from ramming my backside. That little bastard. I'm gonna kill him.

Lucy: "I have to talk to you after the race. If you die I will be extremely pissed off and I will find you again, ghost and all, and exorcise your stupid little spirit." I say a bit shaky, hoping he didn't notice.
My life was just turned around, my daddy was alive but for how long?

Connor: I sigh. "Got it. You sure you're gonna be okay?" I ask after another moment.

Lucy: "Yes, I'm pretty sure. I just need to talk to you after this, its important. Don't focus on me though focus on the race, remember six speed ups for the last six laps. You have nine in total, you've done two already. Go, go go!" I say watching him expectantly grimacing at the death of other drivers.

Connor: I nod, letting out a deep breath, slipping up into my third speed and racing past Clarkson. This is one of the most dangerous paths in this track. In the tunnel, it's pitch black and not even the night cameras can see what's happening. Anything could happen. I feel an awkward rumble and quickly turn the wheel so my hands aren't at 10-2 anymore; more like 7-12. I grimace as a flash of fire appears behind me. I don't look back though. Three. I counted. Three deaths in a matter of six seconds. That's all it takes.

Lucy: I turn off my mike and get two samwhiches. One for me and one for Conner, I can see the other engineers laugh at my optimisticness. I smile at each one confidently while eating my samwhich, I can sense thier worry start to build up inside while I chow down. Truth was, this was all a little show. I was worried times ten.

Connor: As soon as the tunnel ends, everyone goes back to playing the rules right. I frown, wishing the third marker would show up pretty damn soon. I really wanted to blast Clarkson out of the water. And hopefully over a cliff or something. Then someone - in a sleek dark blue car - is suddenly to my right. I jump a little, jerking the wheel so that I didn't ram into their side door. I watch as the dark car slips past me with ease, sending me into third. Clarkson is two places behind me. But I'm still wondering about that dark car. The windows were too tinted to see through. I turn on my mic again, trying to get to Lucy. I really needed to find out.

Connor: "There's a new car I've never seen before on the road. Dark blue. Think you could track down to who it is?" I ask her, pulling up back into second so that I can try to get a better view of the dark blue car.

Lucy: "Sure, gimme a sec." I say and turn on my Black Berry. I search through the names of the contestants and thier cars. With wide eyes I realize who it is.

Lucy: "I am, like, really serious here Conner. That's JP, it even says in the form." I bit my lip and couldn't help but wonder what she was doing here. Why was she racing? Her family was out of the race because they didn't make the Q.

Connor: "Man, do you know why?" I swerve just in time to dodge Clarkson's trail of spikes. I switch off onto defense and set the car's wheels so that I"m only driving on two. I hold my breath, praying I stay balanced long enough. I only let it out when I do, drifting to make the next turn. "Hey, can you hack into her wave length? Talk to her," I say, then swearing to myself as Clarkson rams into my front tire. I blast a shot of hot air - the best I could do on short notice - on the underside of his car. He flips over, but somehow manages to get right side up again. "Son of a bitch," I whisper, my eyes narrowing over at him. He just won't die!
