Connor: I pull up slowly, careful not to run into anyone, or run anyone over. Yeah, that had happened before. When I pull up to my placement with all my crew, I instinctively look for Avery's dark red head. Then I have to remind myself she's blonde now. Not to mention, with a tall black haired guy. I grimace, jumping when someone knocks on my rolled up window.

Lucy: I knocked on his window impatiently. "Hello? Anyone in there?" I yelled, no sleep equal cranky Lucy. Cranky Lucy equals everyone being careful or broken bones. I had waited here for the last twenty minutes for him, I needed this to go fast so I can do a check up on my baby before the Race.

Connor: I roll the window down, shrinking in my seat when I see her eyes. Someone didn't get to sleep. I clear my throat. "Hey Luce, nice morning...isn't...it...Uh, never mind." I slip out of the car and walk after her as she starts her check routine. I look around, wondering if I'll see Clarkson's sorry ass around. And when I do, I bristle. I can tell he's badmouthing Jp, but she's not taking it this time. She's all up in his face, and I find myself grinning. I poke Lucy, jerking back when she turns on me with a scowl, but i point over at where Jp looks about ready to punch him.
And she does.
Square in the jaw. He reels back, his mouth hanging open. She glares at him for another moment before turning on him and walking in the opposite direction from us. I whistle.
"That girl's got a mean right hook."

Lucy: I grinned. "I taught her that one, if he tries to get her from behind then she'll-" I see Clarkson walk up behind her and grab her shoulder. She back kicks him in the groin and continues to walk. "Do that." I finish smiling brightly, that was my girl.
I turn my attention to Conner, looking at him expectantly. "So, wheres this meeting or what ever?" I ask arms folded my glare in place. He won't be getting the nice girl act for a while after hims lame ass drinking stunt.

Connor: I sigh, trudging slowly toward the east building. It's where most of the racers go to have breakfast before the race and chat, but to go in there is totally not worth it. Everyone is so conceited in that room. I shudder. Ugh. But the actual meeting place was behind it in the parking lot. "Let's go..." I trail off, my mind wandering off into nothing. I really was regretting this. But I wanted to know so badly what had happened to make her change.

Lucy: I followed him closely humming a tune to keep my mind at bay. It was the only thing I could do that would keep the questions from popping up, if I didn't keep the questions away then they'd fill my head and I'd have to ask them. Asking questions can lead into unpleasent situations, its better to act like you know and wait for someone else to ask or eventuly the other person would explain it.

Connor: I wait, feeling anxious as we wait for more than a few minutes. My fingers are drumming against my legs. I lean against a wall, slouching over a little and staring at the ground. Then when I hear footsteps, I perk up. It's Avery. And that other guy. I straighten, pushing a step or two from the wall.
"Hey," she greets, noticing Lucy and hesitating a step, she doesn't move again until tall, dark, and stoic whispers something in her ear.
"I'm Katie now," she starts. I pull a face, what? I thought it was...
"But--"
She gives me a look. I recognize it well. I shut up and take a step back. She stares at me a moment longer before looking back to Lucy.
"I...I'm guessing you want me to explain, am I right?" Avery - I mean, Katie. I press my lips together from spitting out an "Of course we do!"

Lucy: I look at the girl, Katie, she wasn't my Avery. She was different. She wasn't smiley or rushing over to say hi, this girl was timid and careful. Not like Avery at all, she was outgoing and didn't care what people thought.
"You're not my Avery." I whispered, more to myself than anyone else. I held back the tears as the burning sensation built up behind my eyes. I wouldn't cry for her, not infront of Conner or. Or this new girl, this girl who isn't right, who isn't our friend.
She was different, and I didn't like this new different feel I got from her, not at all.
"So, spit it out. Tell us why you lied to us and broke our hearts, why you didn't care how we felt and went prancing off alive. Tell us why you let us die inside without a care in the world. Please do tell us, Katie Who ever you are." I spit out bitterly to hurt wanting each word to be a bullet and as I speak them they shoot.
I wanted her to know the pain and betrayl I was feeling.

Connor: I suddenly don't feel like listening to any of it. Nothing she says is going to change anything, I realize that now. Katie runs her fingers through her straight golden blonde hair. The only thing I recognize about her is the familiar action of her biting her lower lip. Finally, she turns her gaze on the guy standing like a body guard behind her.
"This...this is Tyler. I met him while they were holding me captive. He was the only one who'd listen to me when I brought out my plan of escape. But it didn't work. Not at first." God, she's looking at him like he's her savior or something. Then she's looking at me, her gaze begging me to understand. I can hardly look at her. "I knew what I was giving up. And it hurt. It took me at least a week for me to decide whether or not to give you two up." She wasn't even looking at Lucy. I clench my teeth, my eyes flicking away.
"They knew I was a trouble maker, so it's not like I couldn't change my looks!" she suddenly blurts. I force myself to look back to her. There are tears welling up in her eyes. "And it's not like you haven't done anything that has hurt me, Connor!" she cries, tears leaking over. "I saw you with Jp, you know. Her father was the one who captured me. Tortured me, and was going to kill me! How could you do that?!" she searches my eyes, and the only thing I'm sure she's seeing is shock and surprise. Maybe a little anger. Okay, a lot, of anger. I take a step toward her.
"I wasn't exactly clear headed last night, Katie," I snarl in her face. She flinches. I lean away. "I got a race to get over with." I finally say, brushing past her and slamming my shoulder against 'Tyler'. I was done with this. Clarkson could win for all I freaking care.

Lucy: "Leave us alone, like you planned. We'll all be better off without each other's company cause the Avery I knew would understand. She would understand a point of view no matter what, she would know that children shouldn't pay the price for thier parents actions. But you're not Avery and I don't know you, lets keep it that way." I growled at her feeling a tear leak out my eye. I sprinted off after Conner instantly forgiving him, I grabbed his arm and as he turned around I hugged him close and cried into his chest, Hurting.

Connor: I don't dare look over at the girl I once knew. I rub comforting circles against her back, kissing the top of her head. "Come on Luce," I murmur after a moment, sounding defeated. I really didn't care if I made it through this race or not.

Lucy: I took his hand surprising him, I knew cause his hand tensed, and lead him to the garage. "You know everything, press the button for aceloration. I have six buttons, each for a new burst of speed only good for one use each so use them well. We went through all the weapons so you're good," I went to my tip toes and whispered the last part," Don't leave me please, you're all I have left." I kissed his cheek and walked off to my locker.

(I think I can bring in an interestion twist.. just wait for it..hehehe)

Connor: I stare after her. Why were girls so complicated? I didn't have much time to think about it though because I had to drive my car out to my place. I look up as I hear footsteps. It's Elliot. His hair is all messed up, windblown to the side.
"Dude, I'd be careful out there. Clarkson's on your case since that Jp girl messed up his face." He looks over his shoulder cautiously. "He was looking for a fight, and now he has a chance to." He looks back to me. "Just be careful, man." He salutes me lazily before dashing off again. I slip into my car, turning it on and roaring out of the garage without another thought about anything. This race I had to get into the top twenty. That was easy.

Lucy:I nervosly set up all my tools and made sure each crew man was ready. I said a short speach about this and that and how Conner's life is on the line if we fail. I stressed the fact that we had to work as a team and let them go do whatever they wanted to do to get ready. I watched in anticipation as Conner drove to the starting line. Turning on my headset I took a deep breath. "Check one, check two. Conner can you hear me? It's Lucy at command." I say in my usual tone.

Connor: I turn up my headset, making sure I can see as much as I can behind me through the mirrors. "Yeah, loud and clear." I catch eyes with a furious looking Clarkson. He jerks his car door open before getting in and slamming the door closed behind me. I turn away and stare out the front windshield. That was one of the first things I ever learned. To be blind of rage is equal to being blind to the things going on around you. It's another driver's most lethal weapon. If you're angry, you can't think straight. And this isn't a game with second chances. At least, not normally.

Lucy: I take a deep breath. "Okay Conner, you know the track. Just remember, on the third lap they will let you use your weapons. If you use them before hand then you're disqualified, and if you get disqualified then I am coming down to the racetrack and kicking your ass to tim-buck-two." I say to him seriously. I bite my lip and look across the stadium to the other chief engineers, we're always supposed to be in sight of each other. I scan through them fast, matching each one to thier driver. Except one, he was just a bit to far away to see clearly. I just had a feeling that he was looking straight at me.
Something told me I knew him from somewhere, something.

Connor: "Hey, you still there?" I ask, checking all of my switches and lights. "And, I believe you when you say you'll kick my ass." I smirk a little. But she doesn't answer. "Um...helllooo?" I flick the mic, making a face. "Earth to Lucy...?"
