Connor: I don't even have to think twice. I take another step toward her and wrap my arms around her in a tight hug. I kiss the top her head, her sobs shaking her whole body. I rub her back gently. "It's ok," i murmur, swallowing down the lump in my throat. "It's ok..." I close my eyes and rest cheek against the top of her head.

Lucy: I cried and hugged him. All my pain flowing out in the form of tears. I missed her, I didn't want her to be gone.

Connor: I stroke her hair, just letting her cry against my shoulder for awhile. You could say i was a bit of a mess not too long ago. Sometimes you just need to let those tears flow. After a few minutes of just standing there, I lead Lucy -now hiccuping a little- over to the work bench. I sit down carefully, letting her slide into my lap. I squeeze her gently, pulling back so I can her face. "You're going to be ok, Lucy. I don't...I don't want her to be gone either," i swallow hard, letting out a deep breath.

Lucy: The tear stopped, all that was left was my tear stained face. "I wish she was here." I whispered more to myself than him. I blushed a bit finally noticing our closeness but it faded as the pain of her memory stung me.

Connor: "Yeah, me too..." I look down at the ground, my thumb rubbing circles against the back of her hand as I hold it. But if she were here, what would convince me to race so badly? To get the attention of my brother? To attempt at outshining him? I sigh, resting my forehead against Lucy's head, exhausted. "What are you doing here Luce?" I finally ask her wearily.

Lucy: I sighed. "I wanted to fix something. Or break something.. I don't remember which. Mainly I wanted to do something useful. To concentrated on something to stop crying." I gave a weak smile but I was so tired from crying. Funny thing, crying can wear you out more than a jog sometimes. I guess its more internal exhaution.

Connor: I smile a little at that. "I could distract you," i tease quietly, but i lean away, letting out a huff of a breath. "Well...there's sure a lot to be done tonight if you're up to it." I add, glancing over at where Blaze sits there all gussied up in that disgusting black...gunk. BUt if it gets out the scratches, i guess it's ok. i look back to Lucy.

Lucy: I smiled and slipped off his lap. "How long has it been on?" I asked expecting my baby. She looked pretty banged up, nothing love and elbow grease couldn't cure though.

Connor: I count back the minutes on my fingers. "Uh...about..15? Maybe..." I trail off. I kinda lost count when i lost my mind. it was a rough estimate. I get up, looking for the hose. "Time to wash her off soon?" I toss over my shoulder, bending over to turn the hose on. Ok..this lever does--crap! no, apparently not. I quickly turn the knob the other way, hoping Lucy didn't notice. "Heh, got the water," i clear my throat, not looking up.

Lucy: Without turning I said "I noticed." I used the controlls to raise her a bit and pushed the tools to the side. "Wash her down." I order.

Connor: I sigh. "Got it, chief," I salute her lazily before turning on the hose. It sprays out of control, flicking water all over Lucy. I quickly turn it off, my eyes wide. She slowly turns to face me. "Hi," I smile sheepishly.

Lucy: I was sopping wet. I glared at him through my hair. "Give. Me. The. Hose." I said slowly.

Connor: I scratch the back of my head, "Um, i can just..you know, turn it down a little..." I just don't want her to take revenge on me and kill me.

Connor: I hold my breath, praying to god she doesn't kill me while i hand over the hose. "Here you go..." i take a couple of steps back, bracing myself.

Lucy: I smiled and walked over to him. I stuck the hose down his pants and turned it to full blast. I ran to hide behind the car as soon as it turned on giggling like a loonatic.

Connor: I gasp, running around trying to get the hose out. "Agh!" I shout, finally getting a hold of it and flinging it out of my pants. "Ah, not fair, Luce! You play dirty," i glare playfully over at where i know she's hiding.

Lucy: I laughed louder. "I do, don't I?" I rolled on the ground laughing loud and hard.

Connor: I creep over to where she's hiding, a pail of water in my hands. And i dump it on her. "Aha! and the Connor strikes back!" I lean back on my heels, grinning down at her soaking body.

Lucy: I gasp at the cold water. I stand up and spit it back at him. Giggling like a child I run and grab the pine scented soap. Mostly for use on cars, mostly. I squirt some into my hand and rub it into Conner's hair.

Connor: I grimace, trying to escape. then, when she backs off, i tackle her to the ground. I shake my head side to side like a dog. "Now you smell all minty fresh just like me," I touch the tip of her nose with my index finger.

Connor: I roll off of her to dodge the squirt of soap. it rains down on both of us. I laugh, then sniffle. "You bit my finger, Lucy," I say, using an English accent.

Lucy: I grinned at him. "I did, didn't I? I am so naughty." I say imitating the accent. I rub the soap into my hair and watch him, twirling the soap bottle in my hand like cowboys would do in a show down.

Connor: I lie back down on the cold floor, closing my eyes. the coldness seeps into my skin, sending goosebumps on my arms. but it feels good. this whole scene feels good. This could be my new reason to live through the races. I turn my head to face Lucy, she's watching me. Lucy. That's what i'll do. She can be my new reason. I half smile at her.
