Suddenly, there was a definite split in the forest. "Where do we turn now?" Nicolai wondered aloud.

William: "Uh, it seems everyone else is turning left. I guess we should too." Then, I saw a more trampled path farther up our original path.

Emmaline nodded. "Very well. I'm sorry about your livestock. It seems that a lot of almost everyone's belongings didn't survive the trip." She paused for a moment. "Luckily, Nicolai and I still have a goat and three chickens. The goat's milk is good and the chickens are good layers. So we should be all right."

Nicolai nodded. "The last thing we want is to be seperated from the others." Everyone knew well that getting seperated could be disasterous.

Victoria: "Good! I'll get my things. I may get one of my male neighbors to bring over a couple pieces of furniture. Will you give me at least an hour or two?"

William: "Hmm..." I walked up to the front of the group and tell the leader, "There is a much used trail to the left. I think you should take a look." I jab my thumb toward the trail.
