Fox: Dimitri turned away from the girl and looked at the nurse.
"She just needs to rest," the nurse assured him. He nodded and left. "Will you watch her?" the nurse asked me.
"Will do," I said. I lay down on my bed and put the ice bag over my face. I was so good at watching.

Shaylee~ My father's voice continued to agonize me, making me feel guilty about my mother's death. I wanted it to stop.

Fox: "Are you awake? 'Cause I just wanted to let you know, I am in a lot of pain and I am really pissed and I don't take having my ribs crushed very nicely," I said around the ice bag.

Shaylee~ Tears slid out of my eyes. "I'm sorry, Fox. I didn't mean to do that."

Fox: "You didn't mean to..." I sat up, rage choking me. "You could have killed me," I snarled. "What is your problem?!" A wind rushed through the room. Shit. I bottled up my anger and the wind stopped. Not good. So not good.

I sat up and looked at Fox with bloodshot eyes. "Are you like me?" I was a Dhampir but I could also control elements like the Moroi.

Fox: "I'm nothing like you. You are insane," I said flatly. I couldn't tell her; I couldn't tell anyone. If the Strogoi found out that they hadn't wiped out all of the Knight family I'd be screwed to put it nicely.

"Yet, you control wind." I retorted.

Fox: "What? That? Psh. Just a breeze," I said with a dismissive wave of my hand.

I weakly stood up and made the same wind pass by. "That's not a breeze."

Fox: "Speaking of controlling elements..." I picked up the ice bag and looked at her. "You're a dhampir but you can control elements." It wasn't a question. I could tell the difference between Moroi and dhampir better than anyone.

[Cali]

I nodded. "Yes."

[Kate-Anders(unnie)]

Fox: "Okay, that's just weird." I put the ice bag back on my face.

"That's what happens when your parents are both 1) spirit bound and 2) moroi and dhampir." I sighed.

((dimitri should just walk in hearing everything that'd be like an awkward silence like........................... ...... oh shit..... hahah))

Fox: "Uhuh." I nodded slowly. Thank goodness the conversation had steered awy from me.

Fox: I lay on the bed staring at the ceiling. "I can't believe you have power over the elements," I muttered.
The door swung open and Dimitri walked in. I sat up and looked at him. He stared between us, shock written all over his perfect face.
I put my hands together and made the awkward turtle as I stared innocently at the ceiling.

I sat down sighing, it didn't bother me at all that he was shocked. It was just the look in his eyes. I got it every once in a while, a look that told people that were afraid. I went back into a ball, my back towards the both of them.

Fox: Dimitri pointed at Shaylee. "Did you say she can control elements?" he asked.
"Hm, what?" I asked with a look of picture perfect innocence. Dimitri raised his eyebrows. "Psh. Control elements. As if." His face looked like it had been carved out of stone. "Oh look, a strategic exit. Bye." I darted into the bathroom and shut the door.

Dimitri Third POV: Dimitri watched Fox go and shook her head. She was one strange girl. He walked over to the bed and looked down at Shaylee. "How are you feeling?" he asked.

[Cali]

"Fine." I said, my voice blank, my eyes doing that weird blank thing again.

[Cali]

Dimitri 3rd: "Was Fox being serious when she said that you control the elements?"

I sighed and nodded. "Yes. She was."

[Kate-Anders(unnie)]

Dimitri 3rd: "I have never heard of a dhampir having power over the elements," he said.
