Fox: I jumped out of my seat and sauntered up to Dimitri. I looked him up and down once, acted as if I found him wanting, and stood next to Shaylee. I stood about an inch taller than Shaylee, but Dimitri dwarfed both of us. This was going to be so much fun.

I glared at the floor beneath me and mentally slapped myself for choosing this class. "You girls are going to fight each other." I shot my head up looking at Dimitri. "Wait, what?" I practically yelled. He glared at me, "You're fighting. Now." He stepped aside and waved at us to begin. My hands clenched and I spun around easily landing a punch in the dead center of her chest. It was a light punch but it would be enough to break a human's ribs.

Fox: "Seriously?" I knocked away her next punch and kneed her in the stomach. My bracelets jangled as I made contact. "Did that feel good?" I asked, dancing away from her with my hands at my sides. My ribs felt like they were on fire. Dhampir had much harder bone structures than Moroi, I'll tell you that now.

Shaylee~ I clutched my stomach and coughed up blood. When I saw it, I felt anger. I looked up, eyes turning into a deep red-almost black-and tackled Fox. I pinned her to the ground and pressed my knees into her sides. I cracked her ribs.

Fox: I grabbed her hair and yanked her head closer to my face. I bit her nose. She tried to pull away, but I held on. I pummeled her gut with both fists and finally released her nose. I spat her blood back in her face.

I growled loudly, my eyes glowing bright red. I then continued to punch her in the chest, stomach, and her face. Everything was getting broken too easily and I then realized something. I stood, staring down at her and suddenly, images of my past flashed through my mind. I saw my father beating me over and over. I then blacked out all of a sudden, overwhelmed and exhausted with nausea and fear.

Fox: Blood trickled down my face and I wiped it away on the back of my hand. Shaylee lay in a heap at my feet. "Victory goes to me!" I declared. Dimitri gave me a look that would have nailed shut my coffin. "She's unconcious," I told the mentally impaired, pointing at her sprawled form.
Dimitri walked over and picked her up. "Come with me to see the doctor," he said coldly.
"Yes sir Captain Uptight," I muttered under my breath. I pushed myself to my feet and winced. It felt as if every bone in my body was broken. I wasn't surpised; dhampir fists hit harder than Moroi and my bone structer was that of a pathetic bird.
I walked next to Dimitri on the way to the doctor.
"She broke a few of your bones," he said.
"Oh really? 'Cause I hadn't noticed."
"You should not speak to your teachers in such a way," he admonished. I stuck my tongue out at him, but he was already opening the door to the hospital.
He placed Shaylee gently on the bed and pointed to the other bed. "Sit there," he ordered and walked out.
The doctor appeared at last. She quickly bandaged my broken wrist and two ribs. She also gave me an ice pack for my face.
"I'm gonna look like Frankenstein by tomorrow," I muttered.
"Don't worry the swelling will go down," she said.
I lay down in my bed and waited for Shaylee to wake so I could knock her out again.

Shaylee~ My heart raced as the darkness continued to surround me, engulf me. I saw my father and then the knife in his hand and just like that I screamed in agony and fear. The darkness continued to engulf me and I thrashed around, trying to get it away. But I couldn't. I had no strength left.

Fox: I looked up as Shaylee began thrashing. The doctor wasn't anywhere in sight and Dimitri was giving his report to somebody important. I crossed the space between our beds and looked down at her. I pressed my ice bag into her fore head. Maybe that would wake her up.

I felt the cold and numbing pain as I saw the night my father tried to drown me. All resentment towards me had effected how my life turned out. I hated him. I thrashed around more and more, trying to get away but then I felt as if I couldn't hold on any longer. With one last final shriek, I let the darkness consume me as I stopped, no strength left.

Fox: that didn't work. I grabbed her shoulders and yelled "wake up!" obviously neither the doctor nor dimity were close enough to hear. My fractured wrist complained about being used but I ignored the pain.

3rd Person~ Shaylee sank deeper into the darkness of her past, letting it rise past her as she fell towards the abyss. She saw her father below her and then pain engulfed her. Nothing happened. Not one shriek left her, nor did a breath.

Fox: She wasn't breathing. "Holy crap! She's not breathing." I felt for a pulse. Nothing. I put my mouth against hers. I could still taste her blood on my tongue. I breathed into her lungs and then pounded my unbroken fist into her chest. "Hey! We need help in here."
Dimitri ran in, followed closely by the doctor. "What happened?" he asked, pushing me out of the way. "She just stopped breathing," I explained.
The doctor pushed Dimitri aside. I dodged out of his way and looked down at Shaylee. The pain in my ribs had increased, but I ignored it as I watched the doctor.
She pressed her heart-listening devise ((what are those things called...?)) onto Shaylee's chest. "No pulse," she said.
"Let me." Dimitri stepped forward and shoved his hands down on her chest. One. Two. Three. Then he pressed his mouth to hers and breathed into her lungs.
I sat on my bed and pressed my ice pack to my face.

3rd Person~ Shaylee floated in the darkness, eyes closed as she breathed softly (this is kind of like her soul in a different dimension). She felt a pull and her eyes fluttered open. Her eyes didn't have pupils, instead there were iris', a seductive deep purple mixed with a slight touch of sapphire blue. She felt another tug and color was soon returning to her face, but she still wasn't close to coming back.

Fox: "Dude, what happened to her eyes?" I leaned over Shaylee. Dimitri took his hands off her chest and stared down at her too.
"Strange..."
"You really hit the nail on the head with that one," I muttered. Dimitri gave me another death stare.

Shaylee~ I saw Dimitri and Fox staring down at me. I tried to move yet failed. I felt a tug and I gasped, my pupils returning. I started coughing violently as a bunch of air filled my lungs at once, too fast.

Fox: "Weirdo," I muttered and flopped back on my bed. Dimitri leaned over Shaylee.
"Just breath. It's okay." I rolled my eyes skyward.
The doctor hovered behind Dimitri with a glass of water. "Would you like a drink, sweetie?" She fainted after going pyscho on me and everyone was concerned about her?

I held my hand out as I tried to regain my voice, I shook my head and pointed at Fox. *Just help her.* I thought to the nurse. *I'm fine.*

Fox: The doctor stared at the girl in confusion before turning to me. "How are you feeling Fox?" she asked.
"Fine." Why the sudden change of heart? She walked over and examined my many injuries.
"Everything seems to have set well," she said in her annoying matronly tone.
"Yep, it's all good," I said, sitting cross legged on the bed. I craned my neck to see over Dimitri's shoulder.
"What is wrong with that girl?"

When my coughing stopped, I curled up in a ball, my back towards Dimitri, Fox, and the Nurse. I trembled with fear as I could hear my father's voice in my head. You know you can't shut me out, Shalena. (full name) *I can try,* I thought back.

Fox: Dimitri turned away from the girl and looked at the nurse.
"She just needs to rest," the nurse assured him. He nodded and left. "Will you watch her?" the nurse asked me.
"Will do," I said. I lay down on my bed and put the ice bag over my face. I was so good at watching.
