Vladimir Academy
Vladimir Academy is a boarding school where all the students are creatures that supposedly don’t exist. The classes here are based on species and abilities, teaching everything one would need to know about those things. In this school, drama is frequent and fights happen only too often. Most of the fights are because of the Nightlings and Daylings arguing about which are stronger and better. The only time they are forced to get along is during the All Hallows Eve festivities at night and even then tension is stirring.
Welcome to Vladimir Academy.
Nightlings are creatures like vampires and werewolves that go out at night and are strongest then and Daylings are creatures like elementals and witches that are strongest during the day.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Hi there! Do you mind if little old me joins in? It sounds pretty cool, to be fair. Only problem is I'm going to be away from the Internet for the weekend so I may have to join late in the game (you in no way have to wait for me...assuming you say yes, of course!)

Re: Vladimir Academy
Haha, thanks. And it feels like forever since I've filled in one of these!
Name: Amelia Hart
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Species: White Forest Elf
Abilities: Highly athletic -- much more than average human; potion-making; heightened senses
Dayling or Nightling: Dayling
Description: Pale skin, long straight silver-white hair which reaches mid back, bright green eyes, heart-shaped face with high cheek bones, wears light dresses/tunics and leggings often in pale blues, greens and whites, gold locket around neck at all times
Personality: Quite a serious girl, doesn't generally like chaos that is brought by fighting, can be a bit motherly to other elves, especially ones of her kin. Feels as though she needs to be in charge a lot and can't really relax too often. A studier. She hates drama
History: She grew up with her parents, her mother teaching her how to make potions, her father teaching her how to use a bow and the like. Naturally, they wanted the best for her so they sent her away to Vladimir Academy. She quickly learnt that the world isn't exactly like the pristine forest she grew up in, especially at this school...
Name: Leonardo Rathos
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Warlock (in training)
Abilities: Telekinesis, near sight (can tell when things are about to happen a couple of seconds before they do), "suggesting" (very mild mind control)
Dayling or Nightling: Nightling
Description: Light tan skin, dark brown-black quiff, navy blue eyes, sharp fang-like teeth, square jaw and angled features, strange cuts and burns all over his arms. Wears a dark button-up shirt and skinny jeans a lot of the time, usually has a hood up over his face to avoid people
Personality: Not much of a talker, he typically likes peace and quiet and to be left alone. He knows when to put his nose in and when it's a good time to butt out. Can be sarcastic and bitter if/when he speaks. He doesn't open up to people about his past as he has no need. A bit of a loner, to say the least. Other people just plain annoy him. Lacks a bit of confidence in his ability seeing as he only learnt of them a few years ago
History: Doesn't know real parents, was adopted at a young age. Was given a letter in the post telling of the school's existence and quickly packed a bag and left without saying goodbye. He has seen some news shows looking for him, but since then it's all died down -- they assumed that he died. Since then, he's often spent time in his room practicing his skills with hardly any avail -- he's just learnt how to stop things from floating without his command and can only see future events randomly -- although he's not bad at suggesting. Secretly, he has been searching the library archives for any idea of who his parents are/were and why they left him...
And if there's any problems, feel free to say

Carmen: I try not to groan as I walk through the Academy doors for yet another year. I see daylings everywhere. "This should be fun."
Josh: I'm hanging with my friends when everything goes quiet. I look over towards the doors and see why. The nightlings have started to arrive. "Here's to another year..."

Re: Vladimir Academy
June:
I shuffled in, pushing against the others who crowded into the big mess hall, ducking my head down and just attempting to get through. Get out of the mess of people. I grimaced as I bumped into the freshmen and other new kids, attempting to find solace in a non crowded area.
After a moment of slipping here and there I gave up on the polite quiet approach, the normal approach and just jumped up to fly over the crowds. I ignored those who stared, most of the new flesh were trying to fit in still. Oh well.
Quentin:
I hovered by the walls grinning at the new blood and pretty freshmen girls. Sure, most of them avoided my attention and scurried away but it was worth it, the looks on their faces were priceless. Another year in the pit and possibly a career in the far future.
Nothing that interesting.
Everything was so boring sometimes.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Carmen: I see Quentin and walk over, laughing as first years or other lower classmen scurry away from them. "Oh Quentin. Don't you know it's not polite to scare the Daylings?" I ask as I unfurl my wings and they set on fire. Three boys run away at the sight.
Josh: "Why do they always have to scare the first years?" Hanna asks me. I turn and see Carmen and Quentin. "I don't know. But it's the first day back and I don't feel like starting drama already." I reply.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Quetin: I let out a bark of a laugh that lowered and eventually settled into a grumbled, fixing my stare onto another particularly pretty little elf thing.
"Oh.. but they're so bright and shiney.. I wanna have one..I'm kinda like a crow that way...Or a cat..." He murmured, loud enough for them to hear him, accenting the end with a little bit of a growl. He delighting when he saw a few of them jump. "Oh so effervescent.."
June:
I fluttered down to a clearer area, near the Nightlings, and kept my head down as a few of them attempted to get my attention with their trills and comments. I was used to them by now, I was friends with a few, but they still made me nervous.
So I acted as they wanted me to, quiet and demure, pretending to be what they thought we daylings were all like so they'd leave me alone. I was doing fine until I ran face first into a guy.
Already messed up on the first day back.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Carmen: I laugh and it comes out rather menacing. "Oh I like that one. He looks delicious." I say pointing to a rather brave looking one. I call on two of my corpses- being a necromancer has it's perks. "Bring HIM to me. I wanna have a little... chat."
Josh: "Woah. Hey I've seen you around before. What's your name?" I say to the girl who ran into me.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Quentin: I punched Carmen lightly and wagged my finger side to side, "Nuh-Uh.. No playing with the pretty ones, plus you know the rules..."
She took things too far sometimes, creeping the Lighters out was all good fun but there was no need for confrontation.
June:
I backed up, blushing while sputtering apologies, looking up at him while holding my books a little tighter. "Uhh.. June.. Sorry.. I was avoiding the eyes... Sorry.. Yeah.. I get around.. No.. I mean.. Not.. Not in the dirty way.. but.. Ugh.. sorry." I stuttered, grimacing inwardly at my awful social habits.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Carmen: "Relax. He's a Nightling. I won't do any harm. I just want to knock him down a peg. First years deserve it." My corpses bring him over and he gives me a look. "Yes?" he says with an attitude.
Josh: I chuckle. "It's okay. I get what you mean. I'm Josh." I say with a smile.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Quentin: I shrugged and took a step back, leaning against the walls and closer to the shadows. The shadows were my friends, that brought up a lovely little dark smile upon my face, my canines glinting from the passing light from the Daylighters. He stepped forward to address the attitude of the first year with remarkable muscle toning.
He sent the kid a flirtatious grin and did his best to act gay, changing his stance and expression. He liked to see people uncomfortable. "Hey baby.."
June:
I smiled back quickly and my eyes darted back down, "Nice.. to meet you... but I have to go and organize the clubs and committees for the freshmen..for the fair and all... " She murmured quickly, eyes jumping up to meet his for a second.
Her wings quivered lightly and she swore to herself for the millionth time since they appeared. They always showed her emotions, like a tail.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Carmen: I send the corpses away. "Big bite for a little man." He looks uncomfortable from Quentin so I touch his arm seductively and he begins to lean forward. I lean forward a little then laugh and push him away. "Baby you couldn't handle me if you tried. Even this hunk couldn't manage" I nod towards Quentin.
Josh: "do you need any help?" I ask her. People used to say I was just trying to keep up my appearance as top Dayling but they soon realized this is just me.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Quentin: I raised an eyebrow, "Now that was just a bit uncalled for.. I could handle both of you.. At the same time..."
The look I got was perfect, a mix of horror and disapproval from both faces. I simple just gestured to my junk and shrugged, "I like challenges." as if it was their faults. Perfect.
June: I bit my lip and then looked down to my stack of papers and folders than back up to him, sizing him up. I had heard about him, seen him in the halls, but I hadn't really talked to him. It kind of came with the territory of backstage coordinator nerd kid.
"Well.. That'd be nice actually.. can you follow me to the main hall?" I asked, tucking some hair behind my ear.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Carmen: "Kitty, you wouldn't be able to stand the heat," as I say the last part, anything lit by fire- including my wings- blazes beyond control then dies back down a couple of seconds later. I've all but forgotten about the kid.
Josh: I duck when the fires expand like most everybody else then regain my composure. "Yeah. Sure," I say with a smile. "Need help carrying all that stuff?"

Re: Vladimir Academy
Quentin: I stepped back and hissed at her with a grimace, "I could stand it.. I just wouldn't like it much.. It'd ruin my coat..." I grumbled, brushing ash off of my shoulders. I grinned finally though, "But if we did do it I could tell people later that you were my old flame...."
Oh, the puns, the puns were beautiful.
June: I stared at the fire for a moment, mild panic in my head but quickly regained enough composure to shake my head. "I got it all perfectly organized and everything.. mostly..." I stated, shoving a few of the loose papers back in. At least I knew where everything is.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Carmen: "ahaha," I say sarcastically. "Always so caught up in appearances Quentin. When are you going to just let loose?" I laugh and punch him in the shoulder playfully. "Live a little Quent. There's a room full of adventure waiting to be 'explored' by someone. Don't let me take ALL the fun" I say and start scouting out the crowd.
Josh: "Okay. Well after you then. " I make a grand motion and step out of her way so she can get to the main hall. She starts that way and I follow behind, telling Hanna that I'll talk to her later.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Quentin: I rubbed my arm and sighed, "Unlike you, I have no need to set things on fire or intimidate little shits. I just like to make them all uncomfortable, and I like to read. Letting loose is for when you really have to pee in the morning." I declared, holding my hand over my heart for good measure.
June: I shuffled forward, glancing behind every few minutes to make sure I hadn't lost him. I lead him into the hall where all the clubs were setting up.
"Okay..," I set all the papers out in different piles on a free table, "If you could take these to the arts kids I can do the rest.. and believe me.. it's a hard enough job."

Re: Vladimir Academy
(I'm assuming that with this, they do 'paranormal classes' like potion making and the like... If I've gotten the wrong idea, just tell me. I'll change it to something else )
Leonardo: Was there truly no thing called peace and quiet in this forsaken place?!
All the Dayling freshmen were chatting, sniggering in my ear, nattering about 'how exciting' all these new things were.
If only they knew. It wouldn't be long before they were enlisted in the drama. And I wasn't talking about the club.
But I stayed posted up in the corner of the hall, watching as they all scurried by -- some literally, one of the Shapeshifters couldn't help but show off their ability. Sure enough, a couple of metres from me, all ready there were flames and walking corpses along with plenty of bitter comments and friction. I watched under the darkness of my hood, half-glad that they couldn't see the snarl on my lips at that moment in time. Although none of then frightened me, they could have easily torn me to shreds if they wanted to.
Shame then that I didn't have the ability to stroll right close to them and shut them up.
They were really giving me a headache, if suppressing the near-sight wasn't making it bad enough. But it couldn't be helped, bearing in mind who it was coming from.
Quentin and Carmen.
Such an...ugly combination.
And they always enjoyed the attention of the new ones, don't they?
Idiots. The pair of them.
Amelia: Another year, another fair to sit through, another day to sign up all of the freshmen to the Potion Club.
Yes, it was usually quite popular, actually, this experience being the first one where they could do such a thing, especially if their parents were against it. Though I was the only Elf there, the club mostly consisting of witches and wizards, it was actually rather enjoyable. You get to create potions and vials of things -- healing potions, invisibility spells and the like. Though half of the time the Nightlings would just walk in and want to blow things up...again. It was the same every year. It was contemplated that we should just not allow them to sign up, but according to the rules we were not allowed to discriminate.
It was almost as if the school was ignorant to the truth of what happens under their roof.
Letting out a sigh, clipboard under my arm, I ran my eyes over the front of the stall, making sure that everything was in the order. It was easily said, in the arts section of the fair, there were quite a few stalls which stood out more than this one.
And that was apparently why I was selected to draw more people in. How stupid must they thing I am? Getting a 'pretty face' to get everyone to sign up instead of the pus-incrusted pout of the 'Wartly Wizard'.
I hardly even went to the club, only if the chairman was off sick then I stepped in otherwise they'd complain.
But no, he had to graduate last year so now it was up to me to run this thing. By myself.
Brilliant.
That meant that I had to forego my Lacrosse Club.
At least there was still archery.
Glancing around, I noted the various people scurrying about. At least none of the Nightlings had decided to visit, yet. It was mostly just chairmen of the clubs setting up their stalls and the odd busy bodies chasing others around the hall, making sure that everyone was prepared. The backstage people, the people who mostly wore glasses and t-shirts and...
Josh?
Josh.
Josh...

Josh?
Josh.
Josh...
And I promise that the rest of my posts will not be as long...hopefully :3

Re: Vladimir Academy
Carmen: he does the same thing every year. Assume that I NEED my fire to intimidate kids. I feel like he likes to start the drama that's about to unfold. I may be able to control my powers but I definitely can't control my temper and I turn on him. "I don't NEED any of my powers to intimidate someone but I LIKE them and believe it or not Mr. I-Think-I'm-So-Perfect some of us like the practice. Now I think it would be smart of you to keep your IGNORANT comments to yourself" okay maybe I don't have complete control of my fire because as I get madder the fire on my wings slowly grows higher even though I'm talking low so no one else can hear. So much for not starting a scene.
Josh: I'm trying to give all the art kids their things but ifs a task trying to get through the first years. As I go around I'm bumped into a lot but they end up apologizing when they see its me. I don't mind. I'm not easily made upset like those Nightlings. Finally I get through and make it to my last one. So I head over towards the Potion Club.

Re: Vladimir Academy
Leonardo: Oh brother.
I didn't even need my ability that it was wise to move along, at least before the fire alarm went off. Though it was apparent that she was snarling at our buddy Quentin, it was unfortunate that no-one could hear it.
But we could see by the flames...
A couple of the younger years just plain ran away screaming, others just slowly began to back away. I, however, stuck around. It was rare that the two of them turned against one another; it was the best kind of drama.
Giving a sigh, I leant back on the wall a little more, watching the wings flicker with the uncontrollable glow.
It was funny, actually. She showed off her abilities so well, making all of the freshmen believe that she had a good control over them...
And then she does that.
It does make me smile.
Amelia: With a small sigh, I quickly grinned at a group of Faeries off to the corner, clustering together. They were obviously judging whether or not they were going to sign up, watching from afar, nattering about their options.
Was Potions Club cool enough? Well, of course not.
But alas, they scurried away again, letting me see the person who was hidden behind them.
Josh.
Oh my gosh, he's coming over. Play it cool Ami...
Sweeping my hair over my shoulder and taking a deep breath, I tried to centre myself. There was no way that I was going to get my words mixed up. Not this time.
"Good morning, Josh," I smiled at him, "And another year of drama begins."
Yeah, that was cool, starting off with a bit of a joke. It was fortunate for me that I had a rather calm persona, otherwise I probably would have been so flustered at that point, just like Mabel in the stand next to me. She was literally hyperventilating.
