Vera: "Are my wings okay?" I asked, frowning. They were quite sore and I wondered how bad they had been broken. "What else did I break beside my wings?"

Rowan: I stayed quiet, overcome by happiness. I wasn't in love with Vera, some one close to her yes, but I loved her like a sister.

Naiya-- "I'm not sure if I can heal your wings with my power," I said, squinting through the overwhelming sunlight at her. "Sorry." I smiled then. I was glad she was okay.

Vera: My breathing hitched. My wings... They were my life, aside from my family. I sat up and strtched y wings out. They were covered in a skin like membrane, like dragon wings almost. They only hurt a little. "I'll be fine." I said, smiling. I leaned in close to her. "Do you think Rowan likes you?" I asked.

Naiya-- I looked over at Rowan. He smiled reassuringly at me, and I returned his smile with a small one of my own. "Nah," I whispered back. "I think he likes that Sauda girl. She's a card."

Naiya-- I laughed quietly as he looked at me again. A pink tint rose to my cheeks, and I turned my head. Not quick enough though. A smile rose to Vera's face as she caught me.
