The growling got louder, as did the pain in my ears, but I kept walking. I scanned the forest again, I saw what was making the noise. I got nervous and scared, "Maybe we should go back."

"Eh, I saw what it was." I was nervous, snakes always made me nervous, but this, this was much more than a simple snake. This was a Basilisk.

"A snake, a really big, really dangerous snake." It was more than, it could kill you if you looked it in the eye, and if you were bitten well you were surely to die.

"Well, if we fight it we can't look at it in the eye, or get close enough so it can strike. Oh and we would have to be silent. If we run, it could closer to where everyone lives, and terrorize them. And we would have to fight it then. So its either fight now or later, which are you ready for?"

"Then its settled, we go for it. I don't need to be close either. Just don't look it in the eyes." I said, thinking to myself that I would try not to even gaze at for to long. I hate snakes, and if I can kill a basilisk its one less snake I have to deal with.

Archer-

I got my bow, and knocked an arrow, all the while read to use the magic I had to fight the basilisk. The growling was at its loudest point now, a light buzzing sound was in my ears, I pushed the pain aside, and shot an arrow.
