Raela cupped his jaw gently, keeping her kiss soft despite the desperation.
She pressed her body against his lightly.

Jason then picked her up bridal style to set her down on the bed.

James pulled off her tank top and began to let his hands wander against her body. Reunited.
Even if it was a dream.
It was unbearable.

June giggled and held her tummy with a frown.
It was strange she wasn't healing as fast as normal, her modified DNA would have kicked in by now, it must be some other factor.
She couldn't be pregnant, she just had twins, plus she had gone back on the pill. She wasn't really ready for more kids yet.
What was it then?

Raela moaned softly as the cold air hit her skin, sending chills along her spine. She broke the kiss gently and gazed up at her husband with loving eyes.
On her chest was that same heart scar; the one that disappeared in James' dream.

Jason frowned then remembered.
He bit her. His saliva in her bloodstream.
"Oh god...No..," he whispered, staggering back with his eyes widening.

James pulled her back and kissed the scar gratefully, happily.
"Thank... Thank the gods..." He whispered fervently.


June sat up with a frown and scratched her neck curiously.
"What?"
She grimaced a little, she felt strange.
Oh well.

Raela cupped the back of his head gently.
"James..? What was the dream about?" she asked softly.
She caressed his cheek gently.

Jason slid down the wall, eyes wide and tears trickling down.

James shook his head and kissed her insistently.
"It doesn't matter now.. Not now.." He murmured between kisses.


June frowned and got up after him.
"Babe? What's wrong? Are you okay?" She asked worried, was it something she had done?

Jason flinched back, slamming against the wall.
"Stay back!" he roared.
His blue eyes were pale like a husky's, filled with sadness and pain.

Raela shook her head and broke the kiss again.
"Tell me."

June took a step back, snatching her hands away and hugging herself.
Her lower lip quivered.
Was he afraid of her?
"Am.. I..no... Did I do something wrong?" She asked her voice quivering with hurt.
Tears welled up in her eyes and she forced them down as best as she could. She was a ruthless killer. She didn't cry.
Not unless her heart was hurting.

James cupped her cheek gently.
"I dreamt that you died... It was awful.. I'd rather not talk about it.." He muttered, pain in his eyes.

Raela's eyes softened as they roamed his body.
"You're shaking," she murmured softly, her hands on his biceps.
"Come on," she spoke, leading him to their bed.
Once situated, she laid down with his head resting on her chest.
Her heartbeat thudded a melodic tune.

Jason trembled and sobbed.
"Wolf DNA is in your bloodstream...y-you'll start t-turning within the next few months...Fuck! I should have been more careful!" he roared, beginning to hit himself; punishing himself.

James hugged her tightly and closed his eyes as he tried to control himself.
He wasn't gonna cry.
No.
He was just going to love her presence.

June laughed humourlessly.
That was it.
It explained it all.
"Oh, Darling... Don't worry.. You just made me more normal than I was before." She murmured softly, making her way to him.
She was actually relieved.
"I wasn't really human to being with.. the DNA.. it probably is just neutralizing whatever is nonhuman in me.. Oh.. I've got a bit of a story to tell you.." She said.
She let her hands reach out and cup his face gently.
"If I did turn though.. If this did make me different. I don't care. I'll have you with me, that's all I need. My man and my babies."

Jason looked up to her with the presence of a whipped puppy, sniffling and whimpering.
His hands cupped hers as he made their foreheads touch.

Raela began to sing a soft tune, humming and singing as she stroked her hair.

June smiled softly but sadly.
"I was in a project similar to Raela but I was in to become something special rather than already being one. They altered me so I'd be an efficient soldier... you know about my work days.. never told you about the tests..I don't really want to talk about them.. not really pleasant anyway.. Main thing is that I should be fine.. though I dunno if the new DNA will make me stronger or weaker or just do nothing at all.. It's okay babe.." She explained.
She crouched beside him and then pulled herself into his lap forcing him to hold her. She was pretty insistent at times.

James closed his eyes slowly, he was exhausted.
He held her tightly and tried to stay awake but his body pulled him back to sleep.
Relaxed.

[Cali]

Raela smiled and stayed awake, singing the tune and stroking his hair as he slept.

Jason held her tightly, burying his face into her neck.
"I'm sorry..."

June shook her head, "No. No apologies... I should have told you sooner.. it's just a little difficult for me..I love you." She replied softly.

James burrowed his face into the space between her shoulder and neck, his arms wrapped around her in such a way that he could feel every inch of her against him.
Her heart beat was what calmed him.

"I love you too..," he whispered softly before he kissed her lightly, cupping her jaw.
He kissed her like their first kiss as a couple: slow, gentle, filled with want to fill the void.

Raela smiled and placed her chin atop his head, stroking his back with the lightest of touches. "It's okay, Love. I'm here..," she whispered. "It's you and me...forever and ever," she spoke, not knowing that those were the same words she spoke in his dream.

June let her arms wrap around his neck and grinned.
She broke the kiss after a moment to explain.
"Remember when we first met? At that club? And I practically strip teased you the whole night just so you'd bang me? Remember?" She asked with a slight giggle.

James choked out a sob and held her closer, crying softly into her flesh as his hands caressed the skin of her back.

Jason chuckled softly and nodded.
"Yeah. We were both wasted," he murmured.

Raela held him a bit tighter, shushing him and stroking his hair.
"It's okay...I'm here...Let it out," she murmured.

June laughed lightly.
"Good times. Sex. It was good."

James cried softly, desperate and joyful.

Raela kept him close as she held him tight.
His tears drove her to tears of her own.
She very silently cried as she placed a kiss to the top of his head.
"I'm here...Until we're old with grand-children and hopefully great grand-children," she whispered. "Even in death, we'll be together..."

Jason smirked and nuzzled her neck a bit sleepily.
"Maybe later we can do that again," he murmured.

James nodded slowly.
"Promise me.." He whispered.

June laughed.
"Yeah, I'd like that."

"I swear it baby...I promise. I promised you in our vows the day we became husband and wife and I will promise you again," she whispered and nodded with tears in her eyes.

Jason smiled and rested his head on her shoulder, yawning.
He took her hand in his and intertwined their fingers.

James nuzzled Raela with a smile.
"Hey love."

June grimaced as she turned over, her tummy hurting a little bit.
She didn't like pain.
Especially the long term kind.

Raela peeled her eyes open and smiled, seeing the loving face of her husband.
"Good morning," she murmured and kissed his forehead.

Jason opened his eyes slowly and looked to his wife with a faint smile.

James smiled and sat up, stretching.
"The kids are sleeping still.. yes? Do they have school today?" He asked.
He had worked so many nights and days at the office he didn't really know the date any more.

June grumbled a bit about morphine and sighed the daylight away, trying to force herself back asleep.
