Naruto gave a nervous laugh as he wrapped his arms around her waist gently, mumbling against her ear, "We're fucked.." and sitting down as the first tray was served.

The view didn't deter her. As long as there was no gold band, there was still a chance in her eyes. And she took it. Always pressing against him, touching him. Nite broke more than one piece of silverware during the appetiser.

Shikamaru hugged her close, stroking her hair. "Shhh..." he said softly to her, partially closing his eyes as he cradled her close, stroking her cheek gently.

Sakura shushed him with a warning look in her eyes. So far, the night was at least...better than excpected with Nite and this new-girl.

Sasuke grimaced and shot the girl a look that could send anyone away and yet she still wouldn't let up. He was doing his very best to keep his cool and make sure he was polite but he didn't know who would snap first. Him or his fiance.

Ino hiccuped silently and coughed and wheezed. She was going to make herself sick.

Finally, the meeting was ready to begin and Nite stood, only to be gestured back to her seat, arguing with Naruto through their eyes before she flicked back to the girl and hissed, sitting down with a huff. She closed her eyes and muttered, 'I'm gonna kill a bitch' in latin to herself, crossing her arms as she started at her lime sorbet served between courses to clense the pallet.

Naruto nodded and led the officiates into the office calmly, the ANBU staying outside. This was not battle tactics. This was allies.

Shikamaru sighed softly, "You need to calm down, babe..."

She shook her head, burying her face into his shoulder, crying.

Sakura watched with worried eyes, all while making sure that Tsuki stayed sound asleep. She didn't want her daughter to experience what might happen.

Sasuke placed his hand on the middle of her back before moving it to her chair and pulling it closer without making a single sound, jaw pulsing. He then wrapped his arm around her shoulders while many guests conversed with each other.

Nite spotted one of the girl's tanned hands headed for Sasuke's thigh and her catlike his edged on a sharp snake one, "Don't. Touch. My. Fiance." she warned, eyes narrows as the girl stopped but still continued to flirt in between consistent insults of the town, "If we allie with them, it'll be worth going to war just to kill her..." she whispered so only Sasuke and Sakura could hear her.

He held her closer, calmly holding her this waist, "It's okay..." he promised softly again. "I promise it's okay."

Both Sasuke and Sakura looked at each other worriedly, biting their lips. Their eyes held as they had a silent yet secret conversation without using their words.

Ino shook her head, weeping and shaking. It was her fault. It was all her fault.

Nite continued to barely restrain herself as the meeting wore on well over an hour. Eventually, the doors opened and the surrounding world silenced as the nine Kages walked out and sat down wordlessly, Naruto looking more than a little crest fallen as he rubbed the bridge of his nose, "It's war."

Nite snarled and launched to her feet, that and the girl driving her to her end. "That's it! You want war you bastards, FINE!" Without another word the girl that'd been, once more aiming her thin hand's for Sasuke's nether regions was pinned rather roughly to the floor, her hair already back as the Orochi form was unleashed.

Shikamaru continued to hold her still, whispering words of comfort in her ear.

Sasuke yelled out as a man went to grab his fiancé and he tackled him down, snarling. All of a sudden, everyone in the room froze to the sound of Salura's voice.
"That is enough!" she yelled, standing and holding Tsuki in her arms.

The words he spoke she found to be untrue as she began to scratch her wrists without him knowing. She felt blood welling up already.

"Stop. All of you," Naruto billowed in his 'powerful' voice hands slamming on the table, "We may be at war, but this building has always been a sonctity for peace and I will not let all of you ruin it."

Nite still hovered over the girl, fangs bared as her yellow eyes glowed. She sneered, debating whether or not to listen to the first lady and the Hokage. She knew she should. That they were close to her, but she couldn't figure out why they were important. All she knew was that someone had attempted to take her mate and that they had to be punished.

Sasuke got off of the man and pulled Nite up, panting silently.
He looked over to Sakura who had a strong and angered look on her face.

Nite stood all of her form ready to pounce as her humane side seemed to take over and she felt her muscles relax, but still she felt no guilt. She knew it was her falt and so did Naruto.

Naruto didn't blame her, having known it would happen to start with, but he had to at least pretend to be livid, "General Stone, that is no way to behave and you know it. I find it disgraceful and dishonorable to Konoha."

The ginger bowed her head respectfully, eyes closed, "Yes, hokage..." she said as she bowed and dropped to one knee, "please forgive me, Lord Hokage-Sama..."

Sakura watched before looking down to Tsuki who gazed up at her with wide awake teary eyes. "Shh..," she hushed, leaving the room as to not cause more of a disruption.

Sasuke swallowed and sent glares to the girl, clenching his hands.

Faint crying could be heard as Sakura shushed her daughter, trying to get her to sleep.

"Now, on your feet and please return to your seat." he comanded. Nite nodded softly and got back into a chair, giving the girl a threatening look as she got into her seat. The girl didn't so much as look at Sasuke with anything short of fear for the rest of the evening.

Sakura shortly returned, Tsuki wide awake with puffy red eyes. As she took her seat, she shot a glare to the girl before looking to her husband.

Naruto was still standing and nodded, "Now, we shall continue this dinner peacefully. The war has not begun yet." with that, he sat beside his wife, comforting his daughter gently.
