Ayumi peeled her golden eyes open weakly, grimacing at the light in her eyes.
When she saw their faces, she blinked slowly and simply frowned. It was going to take a weak for her throat to-
A blade dragged across her stomach deeply, making her scream loudly.

Sakura looked at her husband and Sai while Sasuke looked at Nite.

Nite and her male counterparts returned their respective gazes evenly.

"What are we waiting for?" Nite and Sai asked in unison, bringing the Hokage to nod.

"Let's go."

Nite frowned, "Naruto, I get that you're trying to save Ayumi but..."

"The village needs you. If someone attacks while we're away. They're doomed."

Naruto shook his head, "I'm going and that's that." he said firmly.

Nite sighed and looked helplessly to her fiance, "You talk some sense into him..."

He was cut off by a loud, blood-curdling scream.
"Now!" Sakura yelled and took off running with Sasuke.

Nite and Sai exchanged a look before following, the Hokage hot on their heels, causing Nite to send him a frustrated glance, "If the village is destroyed, I'll never forgive you," she hissed, speeding up.

Sakura sent a glare to her sister. "Right now, we need to be worried about whether Ayumi's going to make it in time!" she yelled, crashing through the door. The men stopped what they were doing.
Ayumi's head lolled to the side, blood pooling over her and dripping slowly.
Kunai's were lodged into various parts of her dirty and bruised body.

Nite snarled viciously and went to pounce on them, only to have a gentle-looking but forceful hand hold her back with surprising strength. When she looked back, eyes as deep black as Sasuke's stared at her.

Seto nodded back to where a very angry Sai stood ready to pounce, "She's his lover. Let him," he said, "She'd feel safer if he did it."

Nite took the hint and stepped back turning her cold gaze on them, arms crossed, "Naruto." she said firmly.

Naruto nodded, "By order of the grand Hokage, you are all found guilty of rape, assault, and attempted murder and sentenced to death."

Sakura ran forward to Ayumi's side and began to try and release her. When the men were dead, she looked to Sai with tears in her eyes.

Sai had tears running down his pale face as he raced to his wife and ex-teammate, "Yumi? 'Yumi baby talk to me!" he said, shaking and lightly patting her cheek a hint of desperation in his voice, "Come on baby wake up! Ayumi..."

Nite bowed her head, eyes closed as she said a soft prayer for her friend. She showed no emotion, eyes dry and heartless.

Naruto felt tears prick his eyes at the scene, biting his lip and balling his fists. He couldn't help but think that this was his fault. If he'd tried harder- if they'd came faster- they could've saved her.

Finally, Ayumi coughed amd sputtered up blood.

Naruto heard Sai and closed his eyes tightly, thinking that he was coming to terms with his wife's death.

Sai put a finger to her lips, "Shh...of course I did..." he responded, tears running down his cheeks.

Mitsuki looked away from the heart-breaking sight, eyes shut tightly.
