Nite smiled as she fixed her fiance's tie with graceful hands before turning to put her earings in and brush her fiery mane back. She'd gotten her seal replaced that morning, so now she was good to go. The scar on her shoulder had vanished and she was once again the epitome of seduction. "We ready to go?" she asked as she slipped a pack of kunai into the pouch high up on her thigh.

Sasuke let out a sigh with a grimace. "I really don't wanna go but I guess we have no choice," he said blankly. He looked like he hardly got any sleep but he wasn't going to let that affect him.

Ino woke up slowly with a small sniffle.

Nite giggled and lightly kissed him, "Thank you for coming with me..." she said softly, "You realize I'm totally indebted to you for this right?"

"Morning..." cam Shikamaru's soft voice as she stirred.

Naruto sighed, already in the grand hall in all of his Hokage glory, going over what he was to say to the kages and ambassadors that were visiting. Nite and her team was there, mainly for discreet security, though it would be nice to have his sister-in-law and her viscious bite in the pleading room with him. He certainly hoped she didn't lose her temper. He smiled softly when her heard the soft "pbbbt" of his daughter and turned around to see his beautiful wife there with his daughter, both all dressed up for the occasion, "You two look beautiful," he said softly, wrapping his arms around Sakura and lightly kissing his moon-blessed daughter of the top of the head.

Sakura smiled up at her husband before looking down at Tsuki who cooed up at her father then gazed at everything and everyone. "You look handsome as always," she murmured softly then placed a soft kiss to his cheek. "And you'll do fine. You always do, Naruto Uzumaki."

Sasuke let out a chuckle with a faint lopsided smile. "As long as you love me, that's good enough for me," he murmured and kissed her forehead lightly before placing his hand over her stomach, just for a few heartbeats and pulled it away, holding his arm out to her. "Let's go."

Ino looked up at him with a blank look in her eyes. When she replied back, no sound came out. She lost her voice from crying so much.

He smiled crookedly at her as he lightly kissed her lips, "Mmm but every other time there hasn't been as much riding on it as there is now. If I can't talk us out of this, then we'll be at war before the new year is born. And I don't think the Dragon is smiling on us." (That's a reference to the Zodiac. It's the year of the dragon.)

She smiles softly and loops arms with him, "I'll always love you and you know it. Who else would put up with you?" her tone was teasing as she gazed up at him leading the way out of the house, eager to greet old friends she'd not seen since the winter solstice and maybe make some new aqaintances. Allies were always good in warfare.

Shikamaru placed a silencing finger over her lips, "Shh..." he said gently, still holding her in his protective grasp.

Her lower lip quivered, tears building up in her puffy eyes again. "Shika," she tried speaking but there was no voice to carry the words.

Sasuke smiled at this and followed her. "No one."

Sakura let out a soft sigh and nodded. "We just need to hope and pray..."

He gently reached up to brush the tears away, "Shhh."

"I rest my case," she remarked, bumping his hip with hers, all of her worries from the night before forgotten. They'd managed to call the girl's parents back from their mission some time in the early morning hours.

Naruto sighed softly as the workers finished the last of the set up and their guests began arriving. "Guess it's show time then..."

(Rachie said she's gonna play the girl that pisses Nite off :3)

Her breaths shook and her tears leaked from her eyes.

Sasuke smiled and held her close, kissing the top of her head.

Sakura nodded, gazing up at him. "It's going to be fine," she whispered and took her usual seat beside him, grateful that Tsuki was peacefully asleep. It seemed like the baby could sleep through everything.

He wiped each one away with equal tenderness, "Shhhh....sh..."

She sent him a warm smile as they approached the building. She spotted an unfamiliar car in front and walked up to greet them, "Hello..." she said softly, bowing as the door opend. (For Chellie)

Naruto smiled softly and led Sakura to her spot at his right at the top of the table, Nite and Sasuke to be seated at his left.

Sakura sat down, rocking Tsuki for a moment.

Sasuke followed her, staying by her side.

(My dad's rule. But I'm staying home today. Fever. Oh, and Rachie changed her mind. I'll be doing the annoying girl I guess. Ah well :3)

Shikamaru stared into her eyes calmly with his own, "It's okay."

Naruto smiled softly and stroked her hair before going up to the podium, "Guest, welcome. Please have a seat. Find you name card on the back table and find the number on the chair corresponding to the one on the other side of the card."

"Oh. My. God." Nite had to resist not to gringe away from such an annoying voice. If her cat ears were there, they'd be flat on her skull. "What a dump..." a girl with long pinkish-purple hair and matching violet eyes stepped out in something two sizes to small (and that was saying something. The girl looked to be a size 2) and too short, with no chest to speak of and an attitude that screamed, "I think you all think I'm sexy."

The ginger's charcoal hues slid to meet those of her husband as she arched an eyebrow mouthing, 'is she for real?'

"Ugh," the girl began, looking at Nite, her lip curled in a sneer, "They don't have anything pretty here do they?"

The ANBU's eyebrows arched twice as high, "Excuse me?" the girl looked at her with a shrug, as if not realizing what she'd said would piss the warrior off. "If you really think that, then I can happily make myself pretty in comparison..." she began, turning to grab a kunai off her hip under the skirt.

Ino shook her head, shutting her eyes as she cried without a voice.

Sasuke took a hold of his fiance's wrist and shook his head. "She's a waste of time," he murmured, pressing a soft kiss to her temple and sent a look to the girl that said volumes, one of them being, just because you think you're attractive on the outside doesn't mean you are on the inside. He then led her inside with a, "Come on, it's starting."

Sakura smiled and watched her husband as guests filed in. She then gave a brighter smile to her brother-in-law and sister.

Shikamaru sighed softly and held her, whispering soothing words.

As soon as Sasuke was in her line of sight, she smirked, "Ooh! I think I found something I might like here after all..." she said, winking at him as her eyes roved his form hungrily.

Nite's hand came up to cover Sasuke's hand firmly, her eyes taking on an icy gray hue as a possessive growl rose in the throat, "Someone needs to stop letting trash into the city..." she remarked.

"What was that?!"

"I believe I spoke clearly," with that, Nite turned abruptly on her heel and led Sasuke inside, casting a final cold glare over her shoulder. Slapping a false smile on her face as she went to sit at her seat to the left of Naruto, Sasuke seated to her left of her. She then noted that, the Kami's were surely looking to make this evening harder on her than need be, because the girl - Aliya Fujikase- was seated next to Sasuke. Instinctively, her hand reached over to grip his wordlessly.

Naruto walked down to greet the pair, but the possessive action and the cold look in Nite's eyes didn't escape him. Good. She was going into the meeting angry. Perfect...they were screwed.

Sakura noticed the worry in her husband's eyes and gulped silently, hoping and praying that she wouldn't cause a stir. She was careful to watch this new girl though.

Sasuke wrapped his hand around hers tightly, pressing a kiss to her hand while making sure her engagement ring was in the girl's eager line of sight, meaning he was happily taken.

Ino curled into him, dry heaving and coughing.

Naruto gave a nervous laugh as he wrapped his arms around her waist gently, mumbling against her ear, "We're fucked.." and sitting down as the first tray was served.

The view didn't deter her. As long as there was no gold band, there was still a chance in her eyes. And she took it. Always pressing against him, touching him. Nite broke more than one piece of silverware during the appetiser.

Shikamaru hugged her close, stroking her hair. "Shhh..." he said softly to her, partially closing his eyes as he cradled her close, stroking her cheek gently.
