"Unfortunately, one of the babies was injured. We found a small piece of glass embedded in his lung," the nurse spoke sadly. She then looked to Orihime who was weakening as the minutes passed. "Miss, you have to step out, okay? Another nurse will inform you within the next few minutes."

The nurse very gently placed the baby girl in his waiting arms. She smiled down at her. "She's beautiful," she whispered. She gave his shoulder a squeeze and began to clean up.

Renji stood and everyone did the same, eyes wide.

Orihime slowly blinked her eyes open to look at their daughter. She smiled faintly at the sleeping newborn. "Oh, Ichigo..," she whispered quietly, a few tears sliding out.

Tatsuki gasped a little, sitting down and beginning to cry softly.

Orihime's eyes were fluttering as she weakly nodded. "Uh-Huh..."
A few moments of silence passed before she spoke.

(Here we go :3)

Nee, Kurosaki-Kun...Do you remember? When we were kids...we used to have fun reading books about Sleeping Beauty?" she questioned softly, her voice faint. "Heh...we imagined that I became the princess that was sleeping in the tower...and you became the prince..," there was a small smile on her face as she reminisced almost peacefully though there was a sad tone to her voice, "The prince who rescued his beloved princess." She weakly turned her head towards her husband again, her gray eyes trying to burn his image into her mind. She then trailed her gaze down to the small baby girl in his arms. She began to use some of the little strength she had and very gently rested her hand on their daughter's head. She began to try and do the same, that way, she would always remember the two loves of her life.
"Who knew that you'd be so much like the prince, Kurosaki-kun...always saving me."
Her head suddenly turned away for a moment as her hand retreated from the newborn's head to her mouth while she coughed weakly. Her once light skin that always had a sunlit glow to it was now pale and clammy.

“Kurosaki-Kun...We should name her soon,” she whispered, eyes fluttering as she looked into his brown eyes with her deep gray ones that just barely had a slight glimmer of light. “We should...”
For a moment, her voice trailed off and her eyes closed.

Renji's head bowed. Tatsuki began to cry. Hitsugaya shushed his son and held him as he cried softly. Isshin was crying softly.
