He grinned brightly at her, kissing her cheek.

She watched him quitely, pulling her blanket to her chest. It was amazing how much this felt like those times just months before. She knew it wasn't but if felt like it. She reached over to her nightstand and pulled something from the drawer, getting ot of the bed, tucking her hands against her chest.

She took his hand and held it palm up, placing whatever was in her hand in his, "It was my mom's..." she said softly, revealing that it was a butterfly pendant on a gold chain "It's a good luck charm and I want you to have it. You don't have to wear it. It's kind of girly. Just keep it with you okay?"

He twirled her hair around his finger, smiling and kissing her lightly.

He looked at it with a faint smile and nodded, wrapping his hand around it gently. "Okay." But then he began to put the necklace on to show her that he didn't care if it was girly. It was now a reminder that he would keep her and himself safe so he could come back in one piece.

She smiled and kissed him back, messing around with a lock of his orange hair.
