He nodded and smiled at her. "Only if you want to tell me."

She looked at him slowly, faintly smiling.

He sighed softly and ran a hand through her hair. "I'd crash and burn without you."

She sighed, "I'll tell you soon, alright, but not right now..." she promised, "it's a long story, but I really don't want to talk about it." she said, hugging him softly.

"How do you feel?" he asked softly, smiling down at her in relief.

She smiled, "But you will always have me to catch you," she promised softly.

"A little better," she whispered, faintly smiling.

"I'm glad you're okay," he said softly.

She hugged him back, feeling a familiar aura, "Your mom is awake."

He pulled her close with a hum.

"I don't remember much...I don't know if I want to," she whispered, reaching over weakly to take his han.

"I felt it," he whispered. "I'll give her some time with my dad."

He smiled and stroked her hair.

She nodded, her hand tentively wrapping around his.

He leaned down and rested the side of his head on her thigh, closing his eyes. It was something he often did ever since she protected him from those boys that would sometimes sent him to a hospital and had Kakashi-sensei fix him up as to not worry his parents.

She purred softly, running the tip of her tail up his leg lightly, "You do realize that it's almost nine at night, right?"

He smiled and gently stroked her knuckles, "I'm really glad you're okay. I was really worried."

She gently stroked his hair, humming softly. He was the reason she'd gone out of her way to learn healing along with her primary combat training.

He listened to her soft humming, relaxing.

She smirked, "I don't know how fast you ran but I know that we're really fucking far away and," with a flick of her wrist there was the sound of a flame, "There's a completely empty house right there, with a melted handle on the rooms off limits. I'd figure why not?"

He smiled brightly at her, "That's my job," he said, "I'm supposed to worry about my wife."

She slowly ran her fingers through his hair slowly.

He ran a hand up her side and faintly smiled. "I'm gonna be honest. I'd rather be home."

She faintly chuckled, blushing.

He nuzzled his cheek against her thigh with a small hum, falling asleep.

She smiled, "As would I," she said, rubbing her head affectionately against his cheek, "therefore, I'll be right back," she darted away towards the house on all fours, and five minutes later, she returned, having changed from the stained gown and bandaged the still unhealed wound on her right shoulder, "Better."

He got up and sat on the couch beside her.

She giggled softly, leaning forward, kissing his forehead, "Goodnight, love."

He murmured as sleepy and soft 'Goodnight' and 'I love you.'

She giggled softly, wrapping her arms around his neck and resting her head on his shoulder, "Wake me up when we're almost to Konoha so I can change back," she mumbled softly.

He put an arm around her, gently pulling her up the rest of the way and cradling her in his lap, "I love you," he said softly, rubbing her arms softly.

Mitsuki laughed mutely at him, "I love you too," she said, brushing his bangs from his face lightly.

He smiled and lightly kissed her cheek, hugging her.

Mitsuki let him sleep, studying the peaceful look on his features.
