Kairi blinked, shivring and trembling. Tears trickled down her cheeks rapily. Sora... she thought, watching as he attacked them gracefully. She suddenly went still, hearing the sound of metal clanking together. She turned and put Oblivion up just in time to block an attack from a Soldier. That's all she could do though. She froze with fear.

"Kairi!" Sora shouted, looking behind him, going to attack the soldier.

Kairi's eyes widened as she tried to attack but she wasn't fast enough. The Soldier attacked her first; the blow slammed her into one of the walls. Her keyblade slid across the room, away from her as she fell to her stomach. She grit her teeth as she tried unsuccessfully to get up.

Sora raced over and stood in front of Kairi, now only holding Kingdom Key. "Ready, Roxas?" He asked.

"Ready!" The nobody said, stepping out to form his own body and summon His old keyblades.

"Go!" The leapt at the soldier, taking him out swiftly.

"Naminè, help them...more are coming," Kairi whispered weakly. The counterpart got up from Kairi's body and Oblivion appeared in her hands.

"Got it," she said.

Sora nodded and stood next to Roxas.

Lacie could be heard rising in her room, and stepping out. She didn't ask what was going on. She simply scowled at the sight outside and summon x-blade.

Kairi weakly stood, staggering. She could see from the window outside that it was getting worse. We need to find Riku fast...before we all get seperated again....and it might be for good...

Naminè spoke first:
"Sora, take Kairi out of here and go get Riku." She looked to him with the same scared eyes as Kairi's.

"What about you and Roxas?" Kairi asked, with a pained voice.

Sora nodded and scooped Kairi into his arms.

Roxas stood staring at the door. "You just go somewhere safe. I'm going to stay and help Namine and Lacie."

Lacie nodded and stood at the ready.

Sora headed up the stairs towards Riku's bedroom.

Kairi winced and whimpered in pain and terror at the sounds of battle. "Sora....it's happening again...isn't it?" She looked up at him, tears in her eyes.

Sora's face was unreadable- never a good thing- as he spoke. "I think so, Kairi."

Lacie looked at Namine. They'd become pretty good friend the past weeks. "What are the chances we'll win?"

"Kind of slim, depending if we half-ass it or not," she replied as she lunged at a Soldier.

Kairi buried her face into his neck. "Why now...? After all these years...?" She asked herself.

Lacie smirked and leapt up summoning a handful on unversed. "Gues we shouldn't half-ass it then, huh?"

Roxas nodded and looked up and stared at the door.

Kairi looked up at Sora. "Put me down, I can walk," she spoke.

Naminè slashed a few shadows before throwing Oblivion past Roxas as a Soldier tried to sneak attack him.

Lacie took up where he stopped talking. "But we haven't we've almost gotten better."

Lacie heard dark voices whispering at he about why she should even bother with helping them, but she shook her head to banish the thought and kept on fighting.

Roxas noticed Lacie was a bit put off and frowned.
