Kairi gripped the hilt of the wooden sword, placing the wooden blade in the palm of her other hand. Innocent pale cerulean eyes gazed at it with a small smile that was a sweet sight. Her eyes closed as she walked backwards a few steps and then peeled them open, looking Sora straight into his eyes; she went to a stance, both hands gripping the hilt. "I'm ready."

Sora formed a mirror image of her stance and grinned. "Me too." He first started with showing her the basics. "Alright. I'm gonna hit you and you block it alright, Kairi?" (Yeah.)

Sora grinned and summoned Oathkeeper, pointing it at her throat. "You're dead." He declared. "You gotta be ready. These guys don't fight fair, Kairi."

Kairi's smile faded away as she nodded. "I'm well aware of that, Sora...." she sighed. Her eyes closed and she stepped back. Her stance changed, one leg behind her and one arm out. "But, you see. I've watched you and Riku all these years, fighting and getting strongers as the days went by. I just stood and watched at the sidelines. I always depended on you both..." Her eyes snapped open, "it's time I get stronger too." She then suddenly hit Oathkeeper and aimed the tip at his chest where his heart would be. " Because one day you two will be gone...and I...I'll have no one left." A tear slowly trickled down her cheek.

Sora didn't know what to say. He knew it was trued. He could already feel the effects of fighting wearing on him.

Kairi sniffled, tears pooling in her eyes but they never fell. "Don't ever change, Sora. And don't give up either." She lowered her arm but stayed still. "And don't hold back." She suddenly lunged at him.

Sora yell in surprise and leapt out of the way, banishing oathkeeper and swinging with the wooden sword, striking her lightly on the back.

Kairi was trying to catch her breath, her cheeks red and her eyes gazing into his deeply. A strange feeling overcame her. Oblivion vanished and she dropped the wooden sword as she stepped back. Her brow furrowed. A sudden drop of moisture on the top of her head made her look up. Dark clouds were rolling in fast and rain was starting to pour down. She had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach.

Kairi thought for a moment. She had the sudden urge to turn towards the horizon. She did so and gasped in fear. There, where the sun should have been, was an enormous sphere of darkness, pulsing with energy. "No...not again..." she whimpered, tears starting to fall. A growl filled the air, louder than the crackling sound from the sphere or the gusts of winds. She turned and suddenly yelled:

"Sora, get down!!" Oblivion suddenly appeared in her hand.

Kairi pushed him out of the way as a heartless tried to attack him. She slashed, her eyes widening when she just realized what happened. She turned to Sora, "We need to find Riku!" She yelled over the wind and sphere. Fear swam in her eyes.
