Tifa pulled away after a few moments, pressing her forehead against his lightly as to not cause more pain for herself. The slice was one of the other wounds that had, thankfully, stopped bleeding.
Her breathing was ragged. She forgot how to breathe when he kissed her.

He smiled yet again, as if he was just remembering how.

[Cali]

Tifa couldn't help but grin at his smile.
She stroked his cheek and was about to kiss him again before she heard Denzel whimpering. She pulled away fully and looked for him. She found the sleeping boy in the flowers, tossing and turning.
Tifa frowned at this and got up slowly, keeping her hand on her side as a precaution as she walked to him.
She knelt down with a little bit of difficulty and shook the boy's shoulder gently, awakening him from his nightmare.

Cloud crouched beside her staring down at him, "You alright, buddy?"

[Cali]

Denzel shook as he blinked rapidly, gasping for air. "Shh...It's okay," Tifa comforted and held him close. The boy buried his face into the side of her neck, crying silently. "It's not real...It was just a bad dream," she spoke softly.

Cloud nodded as he helped the kid sit up, "There you go. It's okay, Denzel."

[Cali]

Denzel quickly clung to Tifa's torn and blood-stained tanktop, shuddering and sniffling.
The fighter looked to Cloud with worry in her eyes. She didn't know what could cause Denzel to break down like this. He had nightmares, yes, but nothing to this extreme.
She then looked down to the auburn-haired boy and smoothed his hair.

Cloud stared at her, confusion in his blue orbs as he spluttered, trying to find words. He had no clue what to do at this time. He wasn't exactly the best at comforting people.

[Cali]

She looked up at him for another moment and faintly smiled, seeing the confusion in his eyes. It's okay, she mouthed to him. She then turned her gaze back to the boy in her arms as his grip on her tanktop loosened, falling back to sleep.
Slowly, she set Denzel back down before removing her black leather vest and rolling it a little, placing it underneath his head as a make-shift pillow.
She then carefully unbuttoned the separable piece of her shorts, one that was just there as a decoration, and laid it over him, to keep him warm. Slowly, she stood back up, wincing at the tenderness in her wound.

Cloud stood and this time reached out to help her to the pew again, hearing her wince.

[Cali]

Tifa looked at him with a bright blush on her cheeks and a small smile on her face. "Thanks," she murmured softly, her hand against her side.

He smiled and said nothing as he gingerly sat her down.

[Cali]

She let out a deep breath as she sat down, wincing silently at faint throbbing pain.
Her eyelids were slightly heavy but she wasn't at that point of needing to sleep.

Cloud then stood abruptly, to avoid the temptation to kiss her again and, buster sword in hand, stood at the entrance, staring into the dark night where not a single thing moved. Cloud knew the deception of the night. It may appear and -even sound like there's nothing there, but Cloud knew. He could sense the beasts lurking in the shadows, waiting for one of them to fall off, to separate from the rest. He wouldn't let that happen. Not tonight...

[Cali]

Tifa looked at hom before getting up slowly. She walked to him before silently wrapping her arms around his waist, burying her face into his back. "Nothing might happen," she murmured.

[Unabound Justice]

(Got my call from CHAMPS...they said that I won't be able to be in the arts academy but I can still join the school. The thing is, my dad doesn't want me to go if I can't be in the Drama group.)
Cloud remained stiff, eyes narrowed as they stared into the night stubbornly, "That's what we said before all this would happen. Now, my reasons for being careful are even greater."

[Cali]

There are drama classes you can take though.

"I know," she sighed softly and tightened her grip weakly. "I'll take watch with you. Okay?" She then pulled away so she was standing beside him.
"You're not alone, Cloud Strife. You never were and never will be," she murmured and placed her hand around the one that wasn't holding the buster sword.

[Unabound Justice]

(But they aren't the things I need to learn. I looked into it and I'm going to go to Calabases. It's just as close and it has a brand new college level theater and I can audition for plays.)
He flashed her a faint tender smile worldlessly as he continued to stare out into the night. He looked at the stars a few times and think that Zack had been right all those times he'd said that he should just "grow a pair and tell her how you feel when you get home"

[Cali]

Tifa gazed up at the stars also, not speaking a word either. Her hand tightened around his with a small hum. She then leaned into him, releasing a small sigh. "We're going to get through this."

[Unabound Justice]

His arms wrapped around her carefully as he nodded, sighing softly, "I know we will...we always do."

[Cali]

She looked up at him and faintly smiled, crimson eyes glowing from the moonlight.
"I love you, Cloud," she whispered.

[Unabound Justice]

He smiles softly and takes her hand, "I love you too..."

[Cali]

She blushed, looking away from him.
Her heart fluttered at the sound of those words. She had longed most of her life to hear them and now she could.

Cloud set his buster sword down and reached over to stroke her cheek, "I really really do..."

[Cali]

"Do you..?" she asked, looking up at him with hopeful eyes.
She had locked her heart for a reason, living up to her last name. She never really let anyone into her life like that.

Cloud looks up, blue eyes glittering with honesty as he nods, pulling her close, "Yes."
