Iris: I slip away from my table to go sit beside the man. "Hey, I think I could help you; get your daughter back, i mean." i add quietly. A new adventure sounded just like the kind of thing i needed right now.

The man glanced up and gulped. "Who...?" He searched the woman's face for something familiar and then shook his head. "Thanks, but what can you do?" He put his face in his hands. A girl couldn't help him. He shook his head. His baby girl was gone forever.

Iris: My eyes narrowed. He did not just say that. I wanted to slap him for that, but i didn't. i took a deep breath. "I could kill you right now without anyone noticing until after i've walked away. Sir, i suggest you let me help you," i whisper coolly, my dagger at the side of his neck. No one would see, i had my arm around him as though i were comforting him. but that was obviously not the case.

The man glanced at the knife. "I didn't mean any offense," he said slowly. "You're just one...person against the Tower. What could you do?" He looked up at her, eyes red rimmed and tear filled.

Iris: I step away from him, sheathing my knife. "I'll find others. I know i'm not the only one around here looking for something to do," i glance over my shoulder at the girl that was still istening intently to the ohters that were talking about the tower. then my eyes rested on the young man that i'd sat at the same table with.
"Yeah, i'll find others around here." I say quietly to myself

(This sounds really interesting (Though it apparently died a long time ago). I would join, but I know absolutely nothing about Dungeons and Dragons. (Though I've often wanted to try it...))
