Okay I got inspired by a book!
So there are two families, the Rousseau and the Legrande. They are in old france, 1600s and whatnot.. These families are preparing a treaty so they can be at peace and not continually fight each other. The main part of the treaty is a wedding between the two.

Char: I sat on my bed completely and utterly angry. They expected me to offer myself to stop a stupid feud between our family and the Rousseau. I didn't even know who I was marrying let alone a single member in thier family. I couldn't believe I got no say in the matter, that I was just a pawn in thier little game. I was so easily tossed to the side. I couldn't stop the tears.

"No mother." Jack said. "I'm not going to merry some stranger." He was sitting at the families large dining room, eating supper with his family.

"You're the oldest, and this feud needs to be ended." His father, Phillipe said.

"You said when I was younger, I would get to pick my wife." Jack argued.

"Jaques." His mother, Adelaide said, she never called him Jack. "Times have changed."

Jack set his fork and knife down, and got up from the table. His thoughts didn't matter, he was being used.

Char: I jumped at the sound of my door opening.
"Dear, dear Charlotte you will come to understand how we are backed into a corner. It's either this or declare a war of sorts. We can't have that, can we?" My mother's voice penetrates into my brain like a warm knife in butter.
'We can't have that, can we?' it just echos, over and over.
"I'm your daughter. You could at least seem, distraught over the thought of me being married off to a total stranger. But no, YOU.DON'T.CARE!" I yelled at her. I didn't really give a horse's manure if it was not lady like. I was being treated like cattle, a mindless bargaining tool.
"Dear, please calm-"
"I will not calm down, I am about to marry for a stupid fight between you and that stupid family. Whay don't you two familys talk it out over dinner. It's idiots like you that cause so much pain in the world!" I yelled, I could hear my mother gasp and shuffle out of the room.
Serves her right.

[Charlie]

"Jaques, sweety." It was his mother. "Don't get so mad, she could be a really sweet girl."

"You don't even know her, and you want me to marry her. No, No, No. I wont do it. Je suis desole, mere. But I wont do it."

"Honey think of the greater good."

"Their is no damn greater good." She hated it it when Jack cursed. His mother left the room where he was as he decided to go to the stables to go riding.
