"Eighteen." Griff told him. The tone was hard to read. It was difficult to decipher whether there was pride or embarrassment. "What about you, you look just a tad older?" griff hoped he was write he didn't really want to insult Jay again. Doing behind his back was bad enough.

Jay couldn't help but laugh; he did look. A bit younger than he actually was.
"Twenty-four," he grinned, "thanks for that. Most people go for about twenty, twenty-one. Some person a couple if years back, when I was your age said that i looked same age as Naomi... Damn saying that makes me feel old."
He began to feel a bit uncomfortable about it, yet he didn't let ut show.

"Your not old, you shouldn't even worry about age." Griff told him as he put a few more matches into the pot. Griff however did need to worry about or that's what he thought, people constantly decided that he was let's use the age sixteen with the temperament of a five year old. He hated that, made them treat him like a five year old. "Out of curriosity how old did you think i was?"

The guy shrugged, matching the bet again, "About that. You couldn't be lower than seventeen but by the way you act, you seem a bit older sobI would have said about that, possibly nineteen, twenty by both looks and the aura about yourself."

Griff nodded, "You'd be the first, to think I act older than I am." He said throwing a few more matches in. He never reLly understood the point of betting after the river card was placed he just knew that it was done.

Jay matched the matches, smirking slightly. It was either that he didn't know how to play or forgot.
"Just the look on your face," he commented, "it makes you look older, like you've seen more than most... Then again everyone has thar look around this place."

Griff nodded. "I've seen more than anyone should." he added. He flipped his cards over he had a flush. "But I guess that's a good thing." he shrugged not really knowing the answer. In truth the worst horror movie you could think of he had done worse than that.

Jay flipped over his cards, revealing a full house.
"Lucky turd," he muttered, "But on some levels, yes as you have more knowledge but otherwise no. Seeing too much than an eighteen year old guy isn't ideal for people...actually whatever age you are to be honest, but that's half of what this place is for."
As Jay began dealing out the cards, he felt someone tapping his shoulder.
"Here," Aries muttered, "Check this out."
She slipped him a small device, taking a seat next to him.
"How did you get this?!"
"Easily, Jay-Bird," she grinned, "Go, I'll take your place."
Before she could say anything else, he leapt out of his seat, walking straight out the room.
"Anyway, let's see if I can still do this, eh?" Aries smirked, splitting the cards, "Your're Big Blind."

Griff put the matches in he didn't really care if he won or not. Poker was not his game, jay was write he was a lucky turd that time. "Highly doubt I'll win this time." he said. Poker was way to slow for him, if it was any slower he might keel over and die before the game ended. He waited for her to place the small blind, poker sucked with two people.

Aries smirked, winking at a few guys behind Griff. She had seen them watching and thought that they would want to join. Instantly, the room echoed with the sound of dragging chairs, which, naturally, caught the attention of a few guards.
"JoJo, dealing," one smiled, passing the deck across the table, "and no cheatin' this time."
"Whatever Aquatic," another sighed, "All set?"
"Mind if I join?"
Trebuchet stood over them, and his beard that annoyed Aries.
"Fine," Aries sighed, "Put all matches in the middle, Aquatic deal them out. And guys, remember, no cheatin'."
With a roar of laughter, everyone picked up their cards. checking to see if they were in the way for a winning round.

Griff wasn't used to all the commotion. It surprised him. It all happened so fast, the game now sped up, it was to fast to a point where Griff felt like he was going to be sick. Then the action slowed down to a the speed of a snail. He was struggling handling it. He felt like he was on a bad carnival ride and then he passed out slumping into his chair.

Aries was glad that a few more had joined, it meant that her and Griff didn't have to speak to each other directly.
"Raise ya," she smirked, throwing in a few more matches.
"Fold."
"Fold."
"Fold."
The girl smirked to everyone getting out of there. Most people didn't even like to play with her as she usually managed to get good hands, but she could blag her butt off.
"Check."
Aries' brow raised. Trebuchet?
"Are guards even supposed to play with the inmates?" she asked, taking a cocktail stick out of her pocket and placing it in her mouth, "I thought it was against the rules."
"Technically," he sighed, "I'm not a guard."
He laughed at her expression; confusion with a mix of 'I don't believe you', though he just waved it off.
"What are you then?"
"I'm in the Resistance."
"What's that?" Aquatic asked, looking at him with his bright blue eyes, how he got his name.
"You'll find out soon enough, just don't go messin' with me at the moment though, Aries, otherwise I'll promise you that I still have as much authority as any guard here..."
The girl shrugged in response; in all honesty she wasn't planning it, not since the last time that she tired and stuck-up for herself against the guards...that was a harsh punishment.

Griff didn't bet didn't check didn't fold. His mind was racing he looked asleep but that was far from it. He felt like he was going a million miles an hour, faster than sound even. He heard a sonic boom in his head and snapped awake. Gripping his head. He threw his cards in, showing that he folded. He looked pale for his tan self.

Aries raised a brow which seemed like concern; it was more one of 'what is he doing?' or something along those lines.
"Griffler? What are you doing?" she asked.
She jolted as Trebuchet's hand held her shoulder, slowly dragging her backwards though his face didn't show annoyance, just the worry that she was missing slightly, yet he still had that look like he knew what was happening.
"Leave him," he murmured, "he's just facing his a bit early..."
Aries' brow raised, a little worried about him facing whatever 'it' was early... That didn't look all that nice to her.
"Where's ya place, Aries?"
"All-in," she sighed, putting the matches in, "Trebuchet?"
"Fold then," he replied, throwing his cards in the middle, "but, you'll find out soon enough, Naomi."

Griff left the table and went to the corner. He almost fell as he got up. The world would speed up then slow down. He couldn't focus on one thing. He wanted help but didn't think that was coming any time soon.

Aries muttered under her breath, taking all of her matches with her and shoving them in her pocket quickly.
"Buenos, I would leave him," Trebuchet sighed.
"Yeah, well, that's you, I'm me, I go against things as a livin', mate," she snapped, "plus he could always end up in my gratitude."
With a chuckle, she followed Griff to the corner, skipping over a few people that were rustling on the floor over some argument.
"Griff, what's the matter, mate?" she asked, walking into the corner with him, "You can't just leave the table like that..."

Griff turned to her breathing heavily sweat bedding down his forehead she seemed to be moving so slow like her blinks took a minute. "I don't feel well. Things move fast then way to slow then normal." he choked out.

Aries sighed, "Get some water, I'll fetch Jay, he's probably the best for that sort of thing and everything... Be right back. Don't do anything stupid while I'm away, eh?"
With a nod, she put her into her pockets and went out of the room, whistling some sort of tune along the way, trying not to think about what Trebuchet said, all about the fact that eventually, that may happen to her.

Griff headed towards the water fountain. He would speed up then slow down he looked like he was drunk. The water took forever to him to come out of the spout. He found himself whispering "Come on, come on." he drank some. But it didn't seem to help. The whole world seemed to just stop for him like some one had pressed pause. But he felt he was moving normally. He then felt as if the world was going faster than fast forward on a tv. It was making him sick.

Aries rolled her eyes as she leant against the wall, biting her lip as she watched Griff above the water fountain. She did notice that he wasn't quite the same tan that he was this morning.
"What's wrong then, Griff?" Jay asked, placing a hand somewhat gingerly onto his shoulder.

To Griff it took Jay so long to say what he said. He grabbed his head, "Things go fas then slow then seem normal. Then they seem to go slow again, slow is the common but I am going normal speed. And when things go fast it's to fast for me to keep up. Excuse me:" the queezyness of his stomach finally got to him, he turned around and liked out the little contents of his stomach. "I feel like I'm on a bad roller coaster."

Jay nodded, "That isn't anything natural; I dunno if I could help you."
With a shrug, he looked to a pale-looking Aries with a smirk. She never handle people throwing up their food infront of her. Blood? Fine. Broken limbs? Alright? Vomit? She'll copy.
"Nice," she muttered, holding her stomach, "but you could probably stop the emptying of the stomach."

"No." griff said as he caught himself from falling onthe water fountain, "The deeds done." they began moving at an extremely slow pace again as he coninued to act normal. He felt so sick but he had no other stomach contents to empty out.

He nodded and headed to his cell. He would speed up and slow down almost as if his body wanted to do one thing and he another but he wasn't fighting anything. He got to his cell and laid down on his bed. He closed his eyes for a short minute but he heard the sonic boom and couldn't fall asleep. it kept him awake. At least he could rest.
