Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Molly:
I nodded and took the t-shirt from him and slipped it on, as I expected it went down to just above my knee. Perfect. I winked at him and then started my spell.
I was already a bit drained from the last spell but I knew I had just enough power to complete a simple one like this.
While I recited a slight incantation I felt the fabric mold to how I wanted it, the fabric from the sleeves weaved itself into a belt and the excess fabric traveled down so it adjusted the length.
When I was done I was wobbling a bit on my feet but I now had a cute and suitable dress to wear.
"Lilith never let me use that one... Breakfast... I'd kill for some scrambled eggs... It's been forever since I last had any.." I murmured. a bit quieter than usual due to lack of energy from the spell.
I held my fist to my mouth, trying to hold back whatever was left in my stomach at the memories of the meals with Lilith.
Ants.
Lizards.
Various parts from various animals.
Sometimes, when I was on a mission or something, I'd have enough time to stop by a fast food place or a grocery store. I usually ate something normal, a real meal, about once a week.
I shook the gross out of my mind and focused on turning my complexion back to it's normal color, one that wasn't green.
Johnny:
I smiled at him and nodded, with a little wiggle of my elbow I directed Olly, or who I assumed to be Olly, to the stack of books that were slipping from my grip.
"Thanks for the help, I would have been crushed if any of those got ruined.." I said politely, trying to make conversation. I carried the books into Robin's house, with the help of her brother, and set them on the coffee table.
Lila:
I rubbed my eyes as they were beginning to feel quite dry, that's what you got for reading four books in a row. After finishing the first three I went to the librarians, they would probably know what I needed as the books I found only made the matters worse.
Nothing that I read could help me.
Very few modern day law books could be equivalent to the old monarchy that the elves used as their government. Not to mention the use of tribes and ceremonial marriages, everything we did was connected to tradition. Most elves have modernized their way of thinking, though arranged marriages are still very common, many elves have been given the choice of who their partner will be.
Not me though.
Not the stupid queens daughter.

Fergie: "Eat what's on the tray, I'm never all that hungry in the mornings," I grinned, waving my hand towards my fried breakfast that was sitting on my bed getting cold, "You need it after that."
I had to say, I was quite impressed. She did seem to know her way around a spell, now. And though that was quite a straight forward one, it wasn't bad. She couldn't moan that Lilith wasn't teaching her...
I guess that was one good thing that was coming out of it. Lilith was an extremely powerful enchantress despite her old wrinkly skin; Molly was learning from pretty advanced hands.
Olly: Heaving the books to the living room, I gently placed them down on the coffee table with a huff. I only had half of them to carry and they were mighty heavy. I didn't understand how the damn he managed to carry them...
Oh yeah, he's an elf.
"No worries, mate. They seem old though...and musky," I said, running my finger down the pile to skim over the gold gilt lettering on their spines, "Which reminds me, I better get going."
Sorting out the collar on my jacket, I gave him a nod before walking over to the stairs. Clearing my throat, I let out a sigh.
"Robin! Johnny's here!"
And with a panic run to the top of the steps, she appeared, dressed up in her new attire, to which I raised a brow to. But as she calmly walked down the stairs, holding a seat of books in her arms, I picked my keys up from off of the side.
"Right, you know the rules," I said, checking my hair in the mirror, "Keep the door open, check up on Angie to make sure that she's fine, don't ignore her. Left over lasagne's in the fridge if and when you get hungry. No monkey business, and I'll be back in an hour or so."
Turning back to her, I caught her just in time to see her mockingly mimic mouthing my orders. I just rolled my eyes and gave her a quick kiss on the forehead and a ruffle of the do before walking out of the house, leaving them two behind. I could trust her not to do anything stupid.
Robin: "Olly!" I shrieked, sorting out the hair that took me hours to do earlier, "Evil git."
Striding into the living room, I could only grin as Johnny began lining up the books in perpendicular angles neatly on top of one another.
"Morning, you," I grinned, putting my rather tiny pile of books next to his, "I would have asked if you'd rather go up to my room but those look pretty hefty..."
Kneeling down next to him, I quickly planted a kiss on his cheek, blushing slightly as I pulled myself away. I had to admit something; I did like it when a guy wore leather.

Molly:
I made my way to the breakfast tray and began to eat it, the toast first then the omelet. I started slowly, trying to savor the taste but ended up with stuffing the deliciousness in my mouth. It was like heaven.
I paused only to breathe.
So.
Good.
Johnny: I offered Olly a half smile as a final thanks and a head nod to acknowledge his rules then turned to Robin. I held back a boyish blush at her kiss and grinned.
"What was that for?" I asked, the grin unable to leave my face.
While I waited for her, most likely interesting response, I continued to arranged the books in alphabetical order.
A bad habit of mine.
I was a bit OCD.
Just a bit.
Lila:
I closed the fifth book with a groan.
Will nothing help me?
My brain was twitching from an overload of unneeded information and my hair was beginning to look a bit strange from the amount of times I ran my hand through it.
I only had about an hour left.
Damn, damnity damn!

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: I could only smirk as I watched her stuff her face with the breakfast. You'd thought that she hadn't eaten in weeks by the way that she was scoffing it down, but when you eat nothing but Lilith's food for weeks it just feel like that.
"Careful not to choke," I sniggered, "We kind of need you alive."
Selecting my clothes for the day, I threw them down in a semi-neat pile by my feet. In all honesty, I didn't know what we should have done next. We had a whole day to ourselves to spend doing whatever, but if she wanted to stay the night again, she might have to be introduced to my parents... I might have to run it through with her first.
Robin: I shrugged, "Seemed like a good way to say good morning after I woke you from your beauty sleep this mor-- Why do you stink of lemons?"
I had to pull myself away, coughing. Usually he smelt alright; he had a slightly leather smell mixed with a kind of woody scent, but all I could smell was artificial citrus.
I had to raise a brow at him, though it slowly disappeared as I began to laugh at him fiddling with his books and his reddened cheeks. I had managed to make him blush? How sweet.
Olly: Walking in, I gave my usual nods to the familiar faces of the librarians. I did a bit of work there once in the summer holidays and ever since I always got 'hello's from all of the staff whenever I dared to visit them. Usually I preferred to just look things up on the Internet but I didn't think that I could have stayed inside the house with the knowledge that Robin and her elven boyfriend were in the room next door.
Cutting down a few corridors prof shelves, I stopped at the section that read 'Mythology', supposing that if I was going to find anything about elves that it was going go be there.
"Ah, 'ABC of Myths. Perfect," I grinned, taking out the book.
But as I did, I swore I always dropped in, for, sitting at a table with a dozen books piled up in front of her, I was pretty sure that that was Lila.
How could it be?
Should I talk to her?
"That's kind of freaky..."
"Olly! My gosh you dint come here very often, do you?!"
And before I knew it a pair of chubby arms were wrapped around me and an even chubbier face was rested on my shoulder. The same mixed scent of books and soap, one similar to what I imagined our grandma would have smelt like wafted into my nostrils.
Joanna, the one who liked me. Shudder.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Molly: I nodded then chugged down the glass of orange juice, finishing everything off with a delighted moan.
I rubbed my stomach tenderly and licked my lips, I was stuffed.
"What now?" I asked, suddenly perky as my energy started restoring itself.
Johnny: I ran a hand through my wet hair.
"Well.. I've been too busy to go shopping... so I was kinda out of shampoo.. and soap.. and all I had was Fabreeze..." I trailed off sheepishly.
I looked at her with an awkward smile, trying to hide the fact that I hadn't been leaving my place because I was bent on helping her.
All the research I was doing was for her.
She didn't need to know that though.
Lila:
I grimaced and looked up.
With pages upon pages of words why couldn't there be just a single sentence to help me. Why were these-
Wait.
Wait a second.
Was that... Olly?
I raised an eyebrow and rubbed my eyes, a bit confused.
How could he be here?
Why did he have a girl hanging off of him?
I opened my mouth, almost calling his name but I stopped myself as soon as his eyes met mine.
He looked a bit.. uncomfortable.
The girl kept touching him and talking and he looked like he rather be far away. I bit my lip, I could at least help him.
I closed my book and stood, brushing off my pants and unzipping my leather jacket as a quick touch up. I took a deep breath and assumed a character, a smile went on my face and my walk became almost equivalent to skipping.
"Oh my goshness! Olly? Hi! Didn't think to see you here." I said in a super cheery voice, bouncing a bit for added effect.
I fluttered my lashes and went for the best pretty dumb blonde look I could, pushing my chest out a bit and keeping my eyes wide.
It was a bit harder to act when I was dressed in pretty much all black, though my tank top under my jacket was green, matching my eyes, but with the right story everything could fit.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: Good question.
"Well, we can't stay up here all day, or at least you can't. I guess that the best thing to do would be to go outside then we can get back here later..."
And then we'd have to either sneak her in or introduce her to my parents. There were pros and cons with each, but it depended on what she preferred. Obviously, it would be better if she did meet them as if they were to walk in on her or us then I'd be majorly screwed.
Pros and cons.
"Well, the weather's nice," I stated, peering out of the window, "Fancy a walk?"
Robin: I had to physically clamp down on my lip so that my laughter didn't escape from my mouth...but then it did...and I was rolling on the floor in a pit of laughter, my face crimson.
I bet I looked good.
"You're so innocently sweet," I smirked, lying with my back on the floor, watching the ceiling, "You're adorable."
Now that might not have been the best thing to say to your boyfriend, but I couldn't lie. With his shy grin, I couldn't stop myself from getting into a giggle-fit.
"And now my ribs hurt."
Olly: Thank you whoever the hell's up there.
"Umm, Joanna, would you please get off of me?... Please."
But she was already easing off at the sight Lila coming over, the very pretty and very happy-to-see-me Lila. Of course it was all act, and I would have to say that I owed her one.
"O-oh, Olly, who's this?" she stammered, sniffing as she adjusted her Harry Potter spectacles on the end of her snout.
"Joanna, this is Lila. She's a...close friend of mine," I grinned, mostly from relief that she was here, "Lila this is Joanna. She was kind enough to teach me about the library when I had a summer job here last year."
The girl blinked a few times, fiddling with her sausage-like fingers in front of her, looking between the two of us with just a bit of confusion.
"Oh, it was nothing," she blushed, "You taught me a lot too."
Fluttering her eyelids at me, I suddenly felt desperate to do something. Inside, I panicked slightly, but on the outside, I remained calm, smoothly putting my arm around the back of Lila's waist, my eyes still on the librarian.
"Nonsense!" I laughed, slumping my other hand into my jeans pocket, "Anyway, Lila and I were meeting here to do some research on..."
Okay, that's where the cool outside began to melt. Looking down at the elven girl, I gave a slight nod for her to continue on with the lie.

Molly:
I shrugged, I didn't really care what we did, as long as we were together.
"One rule though. We cannot go downtown or in any forest. Lilith has eyes there. So forbade me from meeting you as a certain component of you pisses her off or something, she never told me why. We can't let her see us together, we did have a deal, but when it's over she'll either kill you or make it pretty damn hard to meet ever again."
I said seriously.
I looked up at him with wide eyes.
Please understand.
Johnny: I grimaced.
"Sorry..." I murmured feeling a whole lot stupid and a lot less sweet.
I rubbed the back of my neck and sat on the couch and let her laugh it out. She deserved a few laughs, even if they were at my expense.
Lila:
"Oh, don't be so bashful! He's just embarrassed that we're on a date. He's helping me study for my Law class that I'm taking at the University. Thank you so, so, so much for helping Olly over the summer!" I said oozing out as much sunshine as possible.
I pressed myself against his side and rested my head on his shoulder, all too familiarly, and grinned like an idiot.
That should about do it...
"Come on Olly pop! Lets get a-studying!"

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: A certain part hated me? Oh boy...
"How about the Stork Park, uptown? I'm sure that I can snatch some bread and we can go feed the ducks or something like that. It's nowhere near the forests, either..." I suggested, heading into my ensuite, "Does that sound like an idea?"
I hoped so, I did love the park; it was nice and tranquil with a variety of birds, but most notably, as you'd guess by the name, storks. There was an old legend that children used to be found there...
"I have some fairy dust, too, so that you can safely get out the window. Tink's own."
Robin: Instantly, I sat up, the giggles instantly dying away. He apologised?
Standing up, I dusted off my pleats and shuffled over to the space next to him on the couch. Though the scent was a bit strong, I had to say it was a lot better than the majority of men's aftershave and cologne.
"Nah, I should be saying sorry. I just though that it was really sweet of you," I murmured, leaning into his ear, my hand wandering around his sodden locks, "Most would have probably turned up late with nothing more than a half-hearted apology. Plus I know what to get you for your birthday next."
And with that tease, I tenderly planted another kiss on his cheek before resting my chin on his shoulder, peering up at him with my muddy brown eyes, fluttering them ever so slightly.
"Oh, and there's lasagne in the fridge for later, as you missed out last night with the whole Lila fiasco..."
Fiasco? I had never said that word before.
Olly: But as the girl began to look like she was about to blubber, in the pit of my stomach, I suddenly felt guilty. But at least she had taken in.
"Oh, I'll get out of your way, then. But Olly, if you ever need a job, the library will happily offer you one."
I nodded, "Really? That's good. I'll think about it if my programming business goes wrong. Thanks Jo."
And with a wink, she seemed to swoon ever so slightly. But with an empty heart and tearful eyes, she plodded back to the safety of her front desk.
And I could finally breath.
"Thanks for that," I murmured, making sure that she was gone out of sight as I took my arm from off around her, "I honestly don't want her talking to me. She verges on being a stalker... But fancy seeing you here."
Giving her the quick once-over, at least today she didn't look like a punk princess, instead, it was a ninja meets that Kill Bill lady, Black Mamba, was it? Oh well, I'd bet that she'd still look good in a bin bag.

Molly:
I laughed, a bit unsure if he was joking about the fairy dust or not. I took his hand and nodded, the park sounded wonderful, it sounded peaceful.
"I'll go, though I don't think I need that fairy dust, plus fly is definitely not my forte." I said with a halfhearted grin.
If it was for him, I would do pretty much anything.
I really loved him.
We had only another day and night.
Time flew by so fast.
Johnny:I smiled at her, happy that she at least knew I tried, I really did love that girl and my citrus-y scent proved that.
I hoped it did, anyway.
Lila.
Oh, that Lila.
I raised an eyebrow.
She never got around to telling me the whole story, sure I knew that Elven royalty had visited and the short summary but the details? I still had yet to hear the full amount of information Robin collect.
"Oh, do tell..." I murmured in my most sinister voice.
I wrapped an arm around her waist and sat down at the couch with her, intrigued.
Lila:
I felt bad for the girl, empathizing with her, I knew how hard it was for you when you loved someone and only wanted them to love you back.
I knew it with a different kind of love but the feeling was still the same.
I shook off the pity and continued the act until she left.
I peeled myself off his side as he removed his arm, brushing a bit of cat hair off me as I did so.
"No problem, I have a habit of helping people... anyway I really shouldn't be here.. I only have about another hour until I have to sneak back in, which is why I'm wearing sneaking clothes." I explained, cracking a grin at the end.
I rolled my neck around and grimaced at the crackles it made, that's what you get for reading in a crunched up position.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: A grin encased the whole of my face as she took my hand, "Righteo, then. I'd best put some clothes on."
Giving her a quick peck on the cheek, I slipped into the bathroom to change into some clothes. I had no idea how it happened, but somehow my wildest dreams were coming true: Molly was my girlfriend. Sure there were a few details in which I hadn't accounted for, mainly the whole thin of where we can hardly see each other... But still.
Tucking down my checked collar, I came of the ensuite in almost an instant.
"You ready?" I asked, picking my wallet and phone from off of the side, "We need to sneak you out."
Robin: I couldn't hide the blush on my cheeks as he draped his arm around me, but I thought that that matter was hidden by the giggles from his voice: more funny than threatening.
"Well, I didn't catch the whole of it as I obviously came out to see you, but because my bedroom is above the living room, here, it means that I can hear what they were saying," I began, waving my hand absentmindlessly as I spoke, "But from what I got Lila is being forced into a marriage and Olly had been selected as a potential suitor along with a few other guys. Typically he was reluctant to believe the fact that she was an elf, what kind I don't know, until she explained rather bluntly by pointing at her ears and then mentioning that you were too an elf."
Taking a breath from the long rambles, I looked at Johnny to make sure that he was keeping up with it all. To be honest, he probably knew more than me anyway; he knew that she was coming which I still didn't understand.
"But she was dressed rather weirdly with an incredibly short skirt. I suppose that she was trying to rebel from her parents by doing that. But Angie absolutely adored her. She's rooting for the two of them to hit it off, I swear. She's the one that you have to impress, by the way; my mom's the easy one... Anyway, I didn't get too much information minus the fact that she has to have a guard standing behind her as she pees, Olly now knows that we may not be human and that there are elves in the world."
To be honest, I was somewhat disappointed with the amount of information that was collected. Maybe I should have stuck around for a while back then, then I would have gotten more information.
"Oh!" I shrieked, remembering about his morning, "She gave him her number!"
Tapping his leg with excitement, I made it obvious that I was finished with a contented smile. He probably didn't catch half of that by the way that I rambled on, but it didn't really matter.
Olly: Sneaking clothes? I believe that I was incredibly close to taking the micky out of those... But then I remember that she had just helped me defend myself from the troll.
"Ah, fair enough," I nodded, "I felt as though I had to do some research after last night's revelation on elves and other such mythical creatures. If you're busy then I shouldn't really interrupt you. Thanks for the help."
Offering a wink, I tucked the beginner's book under my arm. I didn't really know what would have been suitable to do. Was a hug too friendly? A handshake too formal?... A kiss was definitely out of the books, and high fives had become lame over the years.
That wink would do just fine.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Molly:
I blushed and nodded, a few flash backs causing her to grin. When he finished changing she glanced out the window, it wasn't that high up.
But it was just enough.
Just enough to start the shakes.
"I'm as ready as I'll ever be." I said gruffly.
I opened the window and sat on the ledge, my heart starting to flutter a bit, I swung my legs around to the outside and felt the real terror set in.
I was kicking my frozen brain, yelling at it to stop being such a wimp, but it stayed there.
No spell came to mind as my fingers gripped the window ledge tightly, tight enough to cause my knuckles to turn white.
"Fergie...." I whispered, afraid that a louder voice would cause me to fall.
Johnny:
I frowned at the information, though I figured as such, and considering the type of person Lila was this forced marriage may end in shambles with or without Olly being the groom. I nodded at her pause in speech and waited for her to continue, each word causing new ideas to pop into my head.
I couldn't help but grin as Robin brought up her little sister, I had a feeling that Angie would like Lila. Both tended to lean towards the eccentric side of life, though Lila did it mainly to piss off her parents and Angie was just like that, or so I gathered.
At the comment about her giving her number to Olly I raised an eyebrow, Lila? Give away her number?
Now that was rare indeed.
She must have pitied Olly or liked him enough to want to warn him.
"Well, it's all as I expected, aside from her giving him her number, that's a bit odd for Lila." I butted into the conversation as she paused to breathe, "Though I predict this whole matter to end badly, and that means your brother is in danger."
Lila:
I paused at his wink, feeling a bit awkward at the sentiment and scrambled to collect my thoughts, which was a bit strange for me. Once gathered I grabbed his arm before he could walk too far away.
"If you want to know more about mythical beings, as you people call us, you might want to start with a different book. One that's made for adults, for starters. I can help you out, if you'd like."
I glanced back at my stack of books then at him, biting my lip and contemplating what his wink meant. Was that a goodbye?
A handshake would've sufficed, though it might be a bit awkward but anything would be in a situation like this one.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: Tentatively, I walked up behind her, peering over her shoulder to look down to the drop below. Maybe it was because I was used to flying, but that drop didn't look very far. But then again, she looked like she was about to poo herself.
Slipping back over to my chest of drawers, I reached into the bottom and yanked out a small red velvet pouch. I opened it, looking in to the mass of dust, all sitting there, sparkling.
"You've seen the movies, haven't you?" I asked, sprinkling just a little fairy dust over her, "That should be enough to get you down safely."
Standing behind her, I hovered my head over her shoulder, pressing my lips against her neck and ear.
"You can do it; I wouldn't be saying this to you if I didn't think that you could. You've faced ogres and trolls; a drop like this is nothing. But if you can't, then I might have to dig out my Juinor Magician book."
And that book wasn't the best in the world, I could say that for nothing. But I was being honest; I believed in her. To me, if you could live with Lilith for as long as she had then you can do anything.
Robin: Danger? Oh shit.
"Brilliant, just what I wanted to hear," I sighed, rubbing my temples, "But how so in danger? There isn't going to be anything silly like a war, is there?"
That's what generally happened in the movies, at least when the man and the woman's marriage gets screwed up.
"Is there anyway to avoid disaster? You said that she's from the same tribe as you, can't you do anything...?"
My heart was going crazy within my chest, beating loud enough for the thumps to echo around my ears. It was probably loud enough for Johnny to hear.
But it was weird for her to give out her number? I couldn't stop myself from grinning at that; that was pretty sweet.
Olly: I stopped as she held my arm, not just my body but my heart too. She was touching me? She didn't seem like that kind of touchy-feely person at all.
"Umm... I wouldn't want to intrude on your studying, what with you going to University and all..." I smirked, still managing to pull off a joke, "but if you don't mind then, okay, thanks. Then I better head back; Robin's got the boyfriend round."
And why did I mention Johnny?

Molly: I held my breath and nodded, still shaking.
I used the palms of my hands to push myself down, waiting for the fall.
Waiting for my stomach to evaporate and my heart to jump into my throat.
But it didn't.
I floated down to the grass and landed solidly, gravity seemingly stopped.
I did it.
Johnny:
I rubbed the back of my neck and grimaced.
"Well... a war might start.. and just because she's in my tribe doesn't mean I can do anything. She's Elven Royalty, daughter of the head, and her mother is from our tribe. She's only half related to our tribe and her mother's in command." I explained slowly. "But she giving him her number does mean that she won't let Olly get hurt... or that's all I can assume."
Lila:
I smiled sadly, wishing that I had enough freedom to attend University. Robin.
His sister.
I bit my lip, holding a look of envy back.
He wanted to protect his little sister, it was sweet.
I let go of his arm, slowly, as if trying to absorb some of the family he had as my arm dropped to my side.
"I'll have a few books dropped off to you in..." I checked my watch and my eyes almost burst out of my head.
"Oh shit... Oh bugger, bugger shit.." I mumbled in utter dismay.
"I'm so sorry, I have to go or they'll figure out I'm gone.... I'll get the books sent to you within the light hours... Please forgive my hasty retreat." I ended, breathless with panic.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: I couldn't help but break into a grin as her feet made contact with the freshly mown grass, despite the fact that she was shaking.
"See you in a moment," I called down in a stage whisper, giving her a small wave.
Now all she had to do was hop over the low metal fencing that surrounded the grounds and she would have made it out of there without being noticed. Then she'd be on the main road where I would meet her, by the bus stop.
I was proud of her. She was an amazing girl.
Shutting the windows, I left my room and ran down the stairs, expecting that my parents would still be in bed with the morning paper.
"Jeffrey! I'm going out! I'll be back later!" I yelled.
And before I could let him say anything back, I grabbed my coat from off of the side and slammed the door behind me. By the time that I had sprinted to the meeting place, Molly was emerging from the thicket.
"Nicely done."
Robin: She was eleven royalty? I had elven royalty come to my house and I didn't even know.
Letting out a sigh, I rested my head against the back of the sofa, peering up to the damp patch that was in the middle of the ceiling... Don't ask.
"Amazing news, but how do we get out of this mess? Personally, I don't want a war between my people and your's; we'd become like Romeo and Juliet on different sides... And also Olly would be in the middle of it."
I could only groan as the mass amount of problems began to pile up in my brain. A few months ago my biggest obstacle was in my algebra, now I had problems to do with having tribe battles.
"But if she doesn't want him to get hurt then..." I murmured, beginning to think over that, "That means that she can't be a bad person, at least. She's being forced into marrying a random bloke, anyway..."
That was mostly for me to mull over, those words. My mind was too bunged up with other things to think straight.
"I thought that she was nice, actually."
Dragging my eyes from off of the ceiling, they landed on Angie who was sitting on the floor in front of us, dressed in relatively normal clothes - jeans, hoodie, socks - apart from the fact that she was wearing those comedy glasses with the fake nose and moustache attached.
"And you must be Johnny, then. I'm Angie, glad to meet you," she grinned, putting out her hand for him to shake, "Though I must warn you: Robin snores really badly at nights, especially after she eats too mu--"
"Thanks, Ang," I interrupted, laughing rather awkwardly, "Love you too."
I tried to hide my reddening cheeks underneath my strategically placed hand and fringe, hoping that he would look over that fact. Anyway, I only snored when I was extremely tired and had a lot to eat that day, not every night...
"Whatever," I girl sighed, rolling her eyes, "So, Johnny, you got any brothers or sisters? I could maybe sell you one if you don't. And what's your favourite type of ice cream?"
Mentally, my palm was attached to my face. It was nice to know that someone asked the important questions.
Olly: Oh yeah, sneaking clothes. She had to get back to her house before the guards realised that she had disappeared. Then I wouldn't be able to see her in a non-serious manner as much... Mind reading was helpful, but you didn't have to be a mind reader to understand that she was in reasonably deep poo.
"Don't worry; I could ask Johnny, maybe if it's too much trouble for you; he seemed alright," I smiled, helping to stack her books into a pile," But I drove here, if it's quicker for me to drop you off then I wouldn't mind. You did help me after all. But calm down, you're not going to accomplish anything b panicking are you?"
Putting a hand out, I gently rested it on her shoulder, just a light touch to try and stop her from having a panic attack; that would not have been helpful. I offered her a grin before returning back to piling up the books, putting torn-up shards of paper in her open pages as make-shift bookmarks.
"See you in a moment," I called down in a stage whisper, giving her a small wave.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Molly: I was wrestling a few leaves from my freshly cleaned hair when I saw Fergie on the main road.
"Lets go boytoy." I said with a quick and mischievousness grin while wrapping my arm around his waist.
Johnny:
I nodded along Robin's chatter, letting her talk her thoughts out.
When Angie appeared I smiled, just a bit.
"I think snoring is a bit cute, especially if it's Robin. I have no siblings.... I might actually but one, depending on the cost. I have a few other offers at the moment and Chocolate mint."
I sat back, waiting for the reply.
Lila:
"If you could drive me I'd be in debt to you! It'd be awesome." I said, looking at him with wide eyes.
I took a deep breathe and went into super drive, stacking and moving books, putting the books into the proper shelves.
I smiled at him weakly when I finished.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: My brow gently raised as I draped an arm around the back of her neck, "Boytoy? Where's that from?"
Letting out a smooth chuckle, it suddenly stopped as I remembered that I had forgotten the bread. N'awww well.
Robin: I could only watch as my little sister pulled out a notepad from her back pocket along with a pen.
"Good!" she grinned, jotting down what he had said, "Now, how tall are you, and what kind of elf are you and Lila? I'd place a bet on..."
Looking him up and down , Angie tapped the end of her pen against her lip.
"Wood elf."
I had to blink a couple of times to register what she had just said.
"What are you saying, Ang?" I almost hissed at her.
She let out a sigh, rolling her eyes, "You speak too loudly and you leave your books out; it would take a moron not to be able to piece it all together, Robin. I'm not an idiot."
Part of me wanted to reach out and slap her, or at least wrestle her to the ground in a painful submission, but the other side of calmness reigned supreme in my mind. Instead, I just peered over at Johnny, raising a brow at him, unsure of really what to do next.
"Oh! And try to be more truthful with your answers this time: nobody like Robin's snoring..."
Olly: With a nod, I gripped onto the car keys in my pocket, pulling them out on the ring to circle them around my finger as though it was a gun and I was a cowboy.
"Come on then, you'll have to tell me where to go," I grinned, taking a light hold of her hand, "We just need to scoot past Joanna first."
I lead her out of the library, past the troll and into the car park, leading her to my car. It wasn't the best one in the world, but it definitely wasn't an old banger; it wasn't fancy but comfortable. I always thought that a car represented the owner.
"So, we're heading uptown, I assume?"

Molly:
I grinned and pull myself closer to him, "The fact that you're a lost 'boy' and you're my toy to play with... Why'd ya stop?"
I could only smile.
I was with Fergie.
I was having fun.
Johnny:
I shrugged with a sheepish smile.
"You're quite clever, aren't you, and I'm not a nobody, I'm an elf, her snoring is cute to me. I'm... I'm about six foot when I'm in this form.. about ten in my other and I'm a mix, Lila is as well, though I'm not totally sure of what. I'm a forest and element elf, she's part forest and something else." I said, being as open as I could.
Lila:
I gave his car an up- down; not too shabby.
Sure, it wasn't a Lamborgini nor was it a Corvette but it was nice and simple, I liked it.
It had character.
I nodded to his question.
"Onto Parkinton road, turn left on Shilanton and I get out there, it's not that far from then on, I got some forest to run through but that's nothing."
I glanced down at our still intertwined hands and wondered if I should say something.
It wasn't so bad, my hand was small enough that it fit nicely in his, plus his hands were pretty warm.
It made me blush just a bit.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: Letting out a sigh, I could only laugh at the name that she had given me. Though I had to disagree with the last part of it, I thought that I may as well let her have her fun.
"Nothing," my head shook, "I just forgot the bread which we could have fed the ducks with. It doesn't matter too much, though... Sorry."
Robin: I could only rub my temples as the conversation unfolding, and Angie trying to make me seem like an idiot in front of Johnny. She always did this in front of anyone that I liked or was friends with. It was because of that I never had any sleepovers.
However, it was somewhat handy, all of this questioning; I found more about him without having to ask a load of questions myself.
"Other form, eh?" she asked, raising a brow, "Fair enough... Now, do you have any pets? How many kids would you have and what genders and names? How many times have you kissed Ro--"
"Angie!" I shouted at her, unable to control the beastly little anger inside of me, "How many more questions are you going to ask?"
Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out a rolled up scroll. With a flick of her wrists, the scroll unravelled onto the floor, rolling off and eventually ending close to the door.
"Just a few," she murmured, rolling her eyes, "Anyway, I'm making sure that he's not an evil elf."
I had to slip out from under Johnny's arm to jump up onto my feet. Giving her an unimpressed look, I peered down at her.
"I'm sure that he's not. Look, Angie, do you want me to put a DVD or something on so that you can watch it?"
She shook her head.
"Make you a breakfast burger?"
She shook her head.
"Set up the paddling pool in the back garden?"
Again, she shook her head, "Look, I just want to make sure that he isn't a bad guy who'll promise you the world and then leave you with three kids to go on and ditch you with them with nothing more than a wave."
I couldn't stop my eyes softening at that point; how could I stay angry at her? Looking back at Johnny for a second, a wash of guilt came over me.
"If you want me to leave, then I will."
She knew how to toy with me.
"S'up to you. If you want to stay then you can, but if not the--"
"Fine. Fill up the paddling pool. I'll be out of your sights."
And with a wink, the girl rolled up her list and left the room to leave me feeling both awkward and guilty in front of Johnny.
And that was why I didn't bring people here.
Olly: "If you're sure," I smirked, finally letting go of her hand.
I didn't realise that I was still holding onto it until she looked at our linked hands. I couldn't help but feel awkward from that.
Walking to the side of the car, I opened the door for her to hop into, something I guessed that she was used to from her army of butlers and stewards. But the least that I could do was to be polite for the lady.

Molly: I shook my head, happy just to be with him and not catching Chamaeras or digging trenches for nymphs.
"It doesn't matter..."
I murmured, resting my head on his shoulder as we walked.
Johnny:
I opened my mouth and closed it, trying to figure out what to say and how to answer the flurry of questions and words that were spat out between Robin and Angie.
In the end I was left alone in her room and very confused, going over the previous conversation.
Lila:
I nodded to Olly, as a general thank you, and hopped into the car. I buckled myself in and then brought my knees to my chest.
I was a bit panicky but I was also happy, I had never sat in the front passenger side of a car before. The view was amazing and it felt good to be in the second in command seat, or that was how I felt.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: Pressing my lips against the top of her head, I could only grin at her. I knew that it didn't matter, just as long as we had today to spend together. It was just a shame that we couldn't do this every day...
Don't dwell on the negatives, Fergie. You have the girl of your dreams. Focus on that!
"I know," I sighed, turning around the corner.
And just at the end of the road was the park.
Robin: Trudging back to Johnny, half soaked from the hose which Angie turned on me for a laugh, I was a little bit short on the temper front, and I could feel myself getting more wound up by the minute.
"Sorry about that, sometimes she can be a bit...agitating."
I couldn't think of a better word, my mind was too messed up to think properly. The only thing that I could settle my thoughts on was putting on some new dry clothes, and then to go through the books with Johnny.
Giving him an empathetic smile, I opened up my wardrobe, taking out the first dress that looked nice and wasn't covered in cat hair. Angie had already ruined my favourite dress and within half an hour my hair will look like an Afro.
"But as long as I check up on her every so often, she should be out there for a while," I murmured, taking the dress into the bathroom to change.
Olly: Gliding into the drivers seat, I quickly switched on the engine. Turning down the music that was blasting from the radio, I let out an awkward laugh as the sound of Tina Turner came thundering out.
"Right, so Parkinton, Shilanton, then just outside the forest," I muttered mostly to myself, putting the car in reverse.
I pulled out of the parking space and gave a quick wave to the librarian, Mrs Marple, and moved onto the main road, heading uptown. By my reckoning it would probably take about five or so minutes, depending on the traffic, to talk to Lila on her own.
"So..." I began, tapping on the wheel as we drove along, "How are you?"
Brilliant start, Olly.

Molly:
I smiled then perked up, humming a tune.
"Do you feel it? The souls of the trees?" I asked, letting the green spirits get used to my soul. It was a trick that Lilith taught me, though she had a bit more trouble getting them to like her, it helped to have nature on your side.
Johnny:
My eyes were just a bit bulgy, she had come in to her room in a wet dress.
The dress had become just a little see through.
I took a deep breath.
I tried to think about anything else.
Why was she so pretty?
Lila:
I shifted a bit awkwardly in the seat, a bit glad for the music filled in the awkward silence.
"Well, I could be better... I mean being forced into marriage isn't the top on my list of things to do for fun.. What about you?" I replied, trying to make a joke.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: My brow rose quite sharply at her. To anyone else, you'd think that she was crazy, or a treehugger who like nature just a little too much. But as I broke into a small smirk, I couldn't help but laugh along with her. She was really quite cute.
"You have a stronger affintity to nature than I do, Molly," I grinned, "but it really is beautiful."
The whole park was based around a giant lake, one exapanding for quite a distance through different terrain. It always attracted a load of birds, all of different sizes and species. The trees, however, were just as picturesque.
Robin: "Anyway, at least that means that we can talk freely now," I called out, slipping off the dress, "So, where did we leave off yesterday?"
I could only sigh as I looked at the dress, drenched and still dripping hose water. She had to go and ruin my favourite one, didn't she, and make it see-through and all clingy...
Tying my hair back into a rough little pony tail, I scampered out of the bathroom and back to Johnny, wearing much drier clothes. But I had to be a bit worried from his facial expression. Angie hadn't spooked him, had she?
"Are you alright there? Angie can take a bit of getting used to, but if you're able to tolerate her then she can be pretty sweet and funny..."
Olly: I pushed for a non-awkward laugh, and managed to come out with a rather convincing one.
"I could say the same thing potentially," I smirked, indicating to pull into a road, "but not too badly, "I'm just a bit anxious about this Johnny kid is all... You know him?"
Well, she seemed to know him; she told me that he was an elf. Anyway, I knew that she was reliable enough, she was a nice girl.

Molly:
I shrugged, smiling in the moment.
"I guess, it's just how I was taught though." I replied.
I smiled at the pastoral landscape and took in the lively sounds of animals then glanced at Fergie with wide excited eyes.
"Could we go see the ducks now?"
Johnny:
I shook my head, trying to form the words in my mouth and it being a lot harder than I remembered.
"No.. Uh.. I was just thinking... thinking about.. about the books, yeah the books, what did you think?"
Breath.
Look at her face.
You are a gentleman.
Lila:
I nodded, hiding a grimace at his reaction, I wasn't that funny after all.
Mom told me that often.
"Well, I know him to be a loyal guy, though I don't know him too well. I was raised a bit separately so all I know is from the short encounters. Sorry, but I don't think you have to be too suspicious, his family prides themselves in being orderly and proper, though easy going." I said, going into my knowledge of the forest clans.

Fergie: "Of course," I winked, taking her hand, "Come on!"
And with that, I began to run, pulling Molly towards the lake. I couldn't help but grin, she was so sweet and clever. But she said that we only had a limited amount of time, and what was betterthan running?
Robin: My brow rose quite sharply, "I think that you're a terrible liar."
But I laughed all the same, not at him, not with him, just laughed. I slid onto the bed, sitting next to him with a grin pinned onto my face. I still thought that he was adorable, and no matter how tough he or anyone else though he was, I would always think that he was a big teddy bear.
"But I went through the book that you gave me this morning whilst you were sound asleep in bed..." I began, picking it up from the pile, almost toppling over onto the floor, "And I made a start on another one."
Sinking back, I rested the books on my lap, balancing them carefully. Peering back up to his face again, I tried to put on a bit of a serious face, but it was kind of difficult when he was sitting next to me.
Olly: Ah, he sounded like an alright guy. That lessened my worry a bit, just A very small bit, but that would always be there.
"Thanks... Sorry for asking, it's just that...y'know..."
I did try my best to not get into a dead end conversation, but it looked like I accidentally turned into it myself. Brilliant, Olly.
"So, you're a forest elf?..." I blurted, mentally cursing afterwards; I really did have to keep out of people's minds and reading them, "Thats pretty cool."

I laughed and ran along with him, savoring the clean air on my clean face.
I stopped him as we reached the small pond's edge and turned to him.
"Will you kiss me?" I asked, looking up at him.
Johnny:
I rubbed the back of my neck, trying to hide the giant blush that was growing under my skin. My face was burning ever so slightly but as she picked up her book I began to turn back into my normal shade.
She kept looking up, as I had picked up a book too, and as I glanced over the pages I frowned a bit.
Did she think I was thinking about her?
In an indecent way?
I grimaced and closed my book.
"Whats wrong? If it's about earlier than.. I just want to say I didn't see anything I was just..." I trailed off muttering as my face began to pinken.
Lila:
I made a face, being an elf is cool?
Sure, we were a bit pressed for topics of conversation considering the situation but bring the elf thing up didn't really help.
"Uh... I guess, were technically just humans that are more in touch with our animalistic side to a point where we can harness the energy and switch between forms. Plus I'm not only a forest elf, I'm also a fire elf, which is a type of elemental elf but a more focused tribe... in a way... yeah..."
I laughed and ran along with him, savoring the clean air on my clean face.
I stopped him as we reached the small pond's edge and turned to him.
"Will you kiss me?" I asked, looking up at him.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: "Did you have to ask?"
Taking her chin with the side of my hand, I lifted her lips to mine, all whilst the ducks began to pull up a fuss around us. A mother and her five ducklings swam over to the water's edge silently, towards the two of us, and before I knew it, I had a duckling sitting on my foot.
"Animals always react weirdly around me..." I murmured against her lips, "Must be a lost boy thing."
Robin: Shaking my head, I gave a slight giggle, "Don't worry about it, you're my boyfriend..."
And with a cheeky grin and a toying wink, I pressed my lips against the corner of his lips ever so lightly. Pulling them away, I gently hovered them above his pointed ears, a smirk on my face,
"It's all for you to see."
And with that, I slunk myself back, my eyes lingering at his. Then, I turned them and began to rummage through the the book until I reached the page that I was last on, skimming down the text to let him gather his thoughts together in his head. Inside though. my heart was fluttering crazily as I went through what I had just said myself.
Olly: ...didn't really help.
Guess I made that incredibly awkward.
Not that I was generally good at conversations, anyway.
Ah, balls.
"Hmm..." I murmured, coming up to the forest where she wanted to be dropped off, "Well, I guess that this is it. Anywhere in particular?"
