Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Robin: "Yeah, I'm gonna be a little late tonight; I'm studying... How funny, of course I am... No, I have not got myself a detention, I'm studying in the library with Johnny seeing as he actually understands algebra... No, you can't come and meet him...especially if Angie is there... Alright, see ya."
I clicked off the phone and set it on the table just as Johnny came into view. My fingers began to drum on the table, smiling as he came closer. I just hoped that he hadn't overheard that.
"Hey," I smiled, "You took long enough."

Johnny: sent her a wry grin, "I didn't want to interrupt you, altho meeting your parents could be nice..."
He slid into the seat beside her and opened up the algebra textbook. "Where do you want to start? Any specific questions or should we work on your homework from today's class?." he asked ever so helpfully.

Robin: I let my eyes roll, "Trust me, it wouldn't be nice."
If I had learnt anything from the last few times, it would most definitely not be nice. In fact, there were parts like that in my past that I had locked away quite firmly in the vault in the back of my mind.
"I guess you should just go from the top," I shrugged, taking out a notepad from my bag, "In case you haven't realised, I can't really remember too much of that day, seeing as I was knocked out or drowsily recovering from it for most of the week. I'm still not in top form, actually...but that's not the point."
As my words began to ramble, my eyes drifted off too off to the door of the room. It seemed that, though, a person or two were peering over at the two of us, which I quickly raised a brow to. As they looked back down to their books again, I let out a sigh.
"Or we can talk about all of that later when we're not with nosy people. Maybe doing this will be better."
Reaching into my bag, I slammed down a few hefty-looking books on the table with a slam, a bit of dust flying off almost everywhere. It seemed that lately I had been too busy to deal with work and now I was behind with it all. It was handy then that Johnny was here.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Johnny: I skimmed over the books and frowned.
"Robin, a few of these books are in original elvish and others are instruction books for learning witch craft... No..wait... Are you...?" I stared dumbly at her.
I knew I had felt something different about her.
He carefully stacked his books out of nervousness.
Molly: I strapped myself into my suit, the one made for searching for trouble, and made my way up to the store part of the building.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Robin: I raised my brow at him as I slumped back in my chair. My eyes searched his face for a reaction as I sunk further into the chair.
"Am I what?" I asked, looking at him, "An elf? A witch?"
Grabbing the top book from the pile, I flipped to the middle of it, though I didn't understand it due to it being in a weird language which I didn't understand. Either way, I began to tear a page out of the book, something that was an easy job due to it's age. Slowly, I raised a hand over the paper as I closed my eyes. Sooner than I could realise, the pages became reattached again, though I kept my eyes shut.
"Discovered it not too long after all of the business with Molly and everything. Angie, my little sister, managed to smash the TV screen somehow and I was had to clean it up. Turns out when I was sweeping the glass up, it kind of went back together. I also fixed my locker earlier."
With a sigh, I slowly began to open my eyes, raising my hands to block anyone that was standing around us from seeing. As theirises slowly changed colour, I looked down to the floor and back up again to grin cautiously. If he told me that he was an elf, then I had to show him that.
Fergie: "Great, there's two now."
Appearing from behind a book, I took a seat at the end before staring into her eyes. Though it wasn't the same disco colours as Molly's, the white, grey and black slowly changing. It was weird, but it was also kind of mesmerising at the same time.
"Fun."

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Johnny: I got up and gently grabbed her chin, turning her head side to side and examining her. Strange. I had thought it weird before that Molly was the only one affected when they both knocked on the door but it made sense that Robin was slower to develop her powers. Molly had been closer to magic and thus more affected by it so when she knocked on the door she reacted much quicker.
I laughed as the information became clear.
"We have have a will.. Now we just need to get a way." I mumbled grinning.
Molly: I tugged the stupid pants down and grimaced as Lilith's lecture continued on. She had sighted a Chimaera and expected me to kill it, it was the equivalent of a test at the end of a unit, apparently. For safety I had to wear a stupid, not to mention uncomfortable, outfit that resemblef that of a biker's apparel mixed with Indiana jones and cat woman. It had to be the stupidest thing I had ever worn.
With the lecture over and the promise of the sexy tweedle twins standing by for my protection I left, pulling yet another wedgie out of my but crack.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: I nodded along with Johnny's laugh, "Exactly. But that's why I'm here. Apparently, I'm rather good at plans. I studied under Peter for a rather long time and he said that I was the best at it..."
Reaching into my backpack, I pulled out a few scrolls of paper, all bundled together with a rubber band or two. It was one of those times that, if you were in the movies, that the blueprints would be out for the master plan, but unfortunately, there was no blue paper, so this would have to be the off-whiteprint, and instead of a darkened room it was the library. We'll just say that we were on a budget.
"But I drew these up before I knew about Robin's power, so they may need tinkering because Lilith will probably have sensed the energy coming from around here and so will now want her. That means that she'll probably try and get one of us or a family member and blackmail in order to get her."
Robin: "Wait, what?" I asked hazily, looking at Fergie with a confused frown on my face as he continued to stare at me.
His face was similar to one of those children that was a little too overexcited at bedtime, like they just had some sugar pumped into their system and so they think that they were Superman, or something to that affect.
"Let me see that."
Snatching the paper from under his palms, I snapped off the rubber band and threw it onto the table. Unrolling the paper, I laid it on the table, studying the array of diagrams and calculations that were scribbled and sketched around the initial drawing in the middle: the map of the city, with various locations including the school, the shop and all of our houses along with a few other important places all circled and marked in different colours.
"This seems a bit complicated," I shrugged, weighing down the edges with some of the old books that I had, "Surely just getting Molly back to her home and without Lilith peering over her shoulder isn't going to need the FBI or the military."
Or so I hoped.
But there was always one thought that had stuck in my mind for quite a while, though it was never a good time to ask it. I guess now was as good-a time as any.
"And is Molly's mom aware that her daughter is no longer in the house? I was just wondering..."

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Johnny: I nodded.
"Lilith charmed her, Molly could be in the carrebean with drug dealers and her mom would wish her well on her way. It's sickening."
I scanned over the plans and frowned, they looked like those of a mad man, although Fergie didn't seem to be in his right mind anymore. I didn't blame him, if I had lost Robin like that I'd probably do the same thing. Even if I wasn't going crazy, per say, I was extremely worried for her.
"Fergie, I think you need to take a break... Molly isn't in any danger, Lilith wouldn't let her only apprentice be harmed, she's too important. You should get a bit rest.." I said as calmly as I could.
Molly: I sneaked through the bushes focused on containing the creature in time to get back and watch my tv show for the night. My tv was the only thing left of a normal life and I intended to watch my stupid dramas and comedies.
I raised my eyes from the tracks to the opening in the forest ahead of me.
The giant, we're talking bigger than a horse, creature sat in the clearing chewing on what I could only tell was left overs from a fuzzy creature. I grimaced as the Chimaera sunk it's teeth into the mangled creature's bones.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Fergie: I frowned at Johnny, "I know that Jonathan, otherwise I would be running over there and kicking the poop out of the ancient woman already. That's why I am somewhat calm. And I'm fine, you see?"
I shook my head at the two of them whilst tutting. I wasn't going crazy and I didn't need rest and my plan was most definitely so amazing and fool-proof, even if they didn't think so.
"Anyway, I must leave with that; I need to feed Fitzgerald...my guinea pig."
Standing up, I swung the bag back over my shoulder, narrowly missing hitting Robin in the face with it. With a little salute to them, I marched out of the library without another look back. How dare they say that I was crazy.
Robin: As the boy walked out of the room, I looked at the plans once again, laughing under my breath at the little diagrams of him flying through the air thanks to a catapult as well as the detailed equations with angles right next to it. Even though it was never going to happen, he did spend a lot of time on it.
"Fergie, you'll always be a nerd," I tittered, tucking my hair behind my ears, "but seriously? Lilith placed a charm on her mom? That's evil..."
Looking up from the paper, I grinned a little, my thoughts going into overdrive. Something else occurred to me.
"Does she still have access to all of her clothes, do you know? Just that its a shame to let all of those pretty things go to waste..."
With a small laugh, I rolled up the paper again. Okay, that was the evil side of Robin talking, the one that was also the one that gets into trouble half of the time, including the one that was so bored at first that she pulled Molly into the shop right at the beginning of this adventure.
"Oh God it's my fault."

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Johnny: I stared at her a moment trying to catch up. Wait.. Was she happy or sad, was that remorse?
"Not really... I mean possibly just a bit.. Ah.. I'm going to stop talking." I stuttered, scrambling for the right words and trying to get into the seemingly one sided conversation.
I rubbed her back and sent her a tender look, it might've been her fault a bit but feeling bad only took time out of your day. It's what you do to push past the sadness that makes a difference.
Molly: I tugged up the cotton tank top and adjust the straps that held all the pointy stuff to my back. How was I supposed to contain that? It was at least two times more frightening than Robin in the morning and three times more frightening than Justin bieber. Did Lilith expect me to kill it?
I had a strict no animal killing rule, even if the animal was munching on thumper it went against my morals.
I stepped out of hiding tentatively and watched the creature turn it's enormas spiky head my way.
"Hey there buddy.. I'm not going to hurt you, just make sure you don't kill Bambi or any of my forest friends... I'm just gonna.."
Shit.
What was I going to do?

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Robin: "Holy Molly, it is all my fault... Balls in July."
So, yes I did just basically ignore him.
Slumping even more in my chair, just so that my eyes peeped above the top of the wood. Even so, my sights stayed posted on Johnny, the colour-changing eyes showing my guilt.
"I wonder exactly what she's doing at the moment. Probably boiling up some newt's eyes with some frog spleen...or maybe some rats...or cats...or mousemats..."
I didn't realise that I was going on with more rhymes until quite soon after I fell onto the floor from the chair. Whacking my head on the table on the way down, I also managed to swear just loud enough for almost the whole room to hear. Despite all of the eyes being aimed to me, I didn't move up from my position under the table, holding my head still. Fortunately, though, I felt my eyes go back to normal.

Johnny: I grimaced. "Sorry folks, she has tourettes, it's usually not this bad.. We'll just be leaving now."
With a quick packing of things I had both Robin's pack and mine on my back while holding Robin bridal style. We exited the library and I made our way towards her house. "Hey Robby, you okay?"
Molly: I stood frozen, my eyes locked in the Chimaera's, in total concentration. It would kill me if I looked away.
This had turned from simple fumbling attempt to befriend and capture the beast to a showdown of dominance. There was no way I was going to lose, I had had enough of losing.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Robin: I nodded whilst still holding my head. If I didn't have a huge bruise on my forehead tomorrow then I will be surprised.
"Fine, but did you really have to say I had tourettes? Every person swears when they hit a body part on something hard, especially when it's either the toe or the head. I was just following social protocol."
With a shrug, I slumped my hand back down onto my lap as he continued to lug me down the road. It certainly was handy to have a buff guy like him by my side; I could be a klutz and get away with it pretty easily.
As I rest my throbbing head on his shoulder, I let out a relaxed sigh, shuttin my eyes lightly. They quickly snapped open again.
"You're not taking me home, are you?"
To be honest, I could hide my face of panic at all. My original chocolate brown eyes staring into his with worry and a little bit of 'don't you dare'.

Johnny: I smiled sheepishly. "I would normally say no but we're already walk down your driveway.. And a kid with cat ears is waving at me.."
I would've waved back but my arms held the very panicky Robin and dropping her now didn't seem like a good idea.
Molly: I felt my legs begin to cramp but the beast seemed close to turning away. I could't stop now, when I was so close to winning.
The only thing was that I had heard a rustling near me, someone else might be here.
With a gruff whine the Chimaera looked away and rolled onto it's back showing me it was submissive. I smiled in victory but it was short lived, the rustling had grown louder which meant whoever, or whatever, was in the forest was getting closer.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Robin: If someone is up there, kill me now.
"Just...great."
Sitting, well, kind of perched, in the window, Angie was smiling, waving like what I would imagine to be a cat. She even had face paint splodged onto her face with whiskers too.
"Really, just great."
I looked up a little gingerly to Johnny, trying to see his face. He probably knew that I was a bit weird, but I knew that when he met my little sister he would think that I was sane to say the least.
"You want to go inside?" I asked, beginning to wave at Angie, "She's got her eyes set on you now."
If I didn't think that matters could get any worse, the door began to unclick. Instantly, I felt the colour of my face drain away. I thought that she would still be at work.
"You could have told me that you were bringing a friend around, Robbie. Break your ankle again?"
Standing in the doorway, my mom stood there, holding a batter-covered spoon and a flower apron. At least she wasn't in a rage like usual.
"No, just whacked my head a library table and cussed rather loudly. Johnny decided that I needed a lift home seeing as I was rather mopy. Oh yeah, Johnny, Mom. Mom, Johnny. And you've already seen Angie. Where's Oli?"
My mom nodded, "He's inside fixing a few shelves. Dear Marcus, our cat, is getting a bit too heavy for his own good and my DIY skills."
As she laughed, I let out a small sigh of relief; at least she was acting mumsy enough. She must have found out earlier or something, either that or because I said that he wasn't coming that she thought that I would...or the library rang her. It happened before so it probably happened again this time.
"Well come in then. We have cookies in the oven. I hope that you like triple chocolate chip, Johnny."
"Just...great."

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Johnny: I smiled brightly. "My favorite kind m' am."
I carefully let Robin back on her feet, setting her on the ground slowly. After making sure she was steady on her feet I changed my focus from her to her family. Her house was a magical mix of chaos that was exhilarating, for some strange reason just being in Robin's house he felt like he knew her better.
But then he remembered it would be because of his instincts.
Elves were hunters by nature.
His family descended from a choice few that were especially good fighters and trackers.
Underline on the tracking.
He could go into most homes and gather the personalities of the family members from just being there. Not to mention how well he knew someone just by analyzing their speech and whatnot.
He blinked and shook his head he didn't need to track, he was her for fun, to get to know his girlfriend's family.
"Would you like any help with anything?" he asked, eager to help.
Molly: I had already collared the Chimaera and muzzled it but the rustling continued, it had begun to set off warning alarms in her head.
She growled instinctively, trying to warn the beast off.

Robin: Dusting myself off, I couldn't help but let out a nervous sigh. Sure, there were attempts of trying to be a normal family from the majority of the members, but there were still little things that remained that I couldn't help but wished that they were normal.
"But it could also have been a lot worse, Robin," I muttered to myself as I walked into my house.
"Oh no, there's no need for that," my mom grinned at Johnny, "but would you like a drink of somesort? We have pretty much everything in this house. Root beer, cola, tea... What takes your fancy?"
As she offered him a welcoming smile, I slipped on my slippers with a contented sigh before plodding into the lounge. Standing in the corner with a pencil behind his ear was Oli who at that moment seemed to be doing rather well at fitting the shelves, and sitting next to him sat Marcus, that fat ginger tabby.
"Marky..." I smiled, grabbing onto him to lift him into my arms, "You need to make sure that you don't do that, eh?"
Scratching the top of his head, I walked into the kitchen and to the inviting smells of chocolate and sugar, and also to where my mom had lead my boyfriend. With a little grin at him, I lent against the kitchen counter as Marcus purred happily in my arms. It seemed that ever since a few days ago, he's actually started to get rather fond of me. And it was about time too.

Johnny: I rested my chin onto her head and smiled. "Hey there Robby, and no thank you I am well hydrated at the moment."
I glanced around her house and then felt a darkness creep into my consciousness. Fergie.
"Robin, do you want to go talk? I have a bad feeling about... You know who.. And his 'pet hamster' or so 'he' said..." I murmured with as many nudges and winks as possible.

Robin: My brow rose tentatively as I looked up to him from behind. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that my mom had done exactly the same.
"Okay," I muttered, my voice as normal as I could possibly get it.
"Is everything alright?"
Looking over to my mom, I just nodded, "Yes thank you."
As a grin began to grow on her face, my eyes began to roll. But the next thing that I knew I had a tray of cookies placed into my hands along with two glasses of milk. My mom smiled.
"Alright then," she smiled, dusting off her hands as she leant against the counter, "Dinner will be ready soon so don't eat top many. Johnny, I hope that you can stay. I'm making lasagna."
I couldn't help but smirk slightly; she was making an Italian dish for a guy who is half Italian.

Johnny: I smiled sweetly only to jump as my phone vibrated. I leaned against a wall and clutched my chest trying to get it to start beating again. With a gruff sigh I slipped my phone from my pocket only to pale again.
"Oh shi...-takimushrooms."
I glanced at Robin weakly.
"You have a brother, right? How old is he?"

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Robin: My brows furrowed at Johnny as my mom exited the room, shutting the door behind her as she went. Fortunately, she had to chase after Marcus and Angie before something happened so she missed what I saw.
"Yeah..." I said hesitantly, "He's 21. He's in the next room putting up shelves... Why?"
My hands gripped onto his arms as I peered at his face. You didn't have to be able to read minds to know that something was wrong, and due to the fact that he had asked how old Oli was, it couldn't have been good news. But couldn't think of any reason why he would want to know.

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Johnny: I grimaced.
"Damn. Well... Elves are creatures of the hunt although over the ages we have evolved to be more oriented on protection and the like. Female elves are different, if certain families wish to have a certain characteristic bred to their family line to make their successors more elite they force the daughter to find a man with those qualities. The females have no choice in the matter, a fact that I find completely archaic. Most families have chosen to let their female children choose their own future but there are some who still hold true to what they call 'selective breeding'. The reason I'm telling you this is that.. Well.. I hear things around my tribe that your family, among others, have been chosen as candidates. As I have just found out, your's, out of three, has a compatible male for an elf daughter."
I paused and glanced at her sadly, if she had read the book on witchery history she would've learned a bit about this already. I knew she had the book with her and from the look on her face he could tell that she understood.
"I know this girl and she is not happy with this but her parents still hold power over her....and she's dropping by.."
It seemed strange how everything was connected.
(Where is ferguson?)
(I'll add the new charrie in a moment)
(oh btw... PLOT TWIST!!! DUHDUHDUHDUDDUHDDDKSK)

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Robin: Blinking a couple of times, I attempted to process all that he just said. Despite my expression of understanding, I was still quite confused.
"So..." I murmured, looking at him, "My brother might unknowingly paired up with an elf girl but he still might not be as there's others that could possibly be her partner. Great, he'll love that... But how the hell did our family get into your tribe's books? Anyway, we're human. Surely you'd want elven partners...unless there's other things I should know..."
That's when I let my face drop into confusion. I hadn't read that book.
(Feeding his Guinea Pig...? But to be honest he could be anywhere by now)
(And I'm quite interested on how this will work)

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Johnny: "When you and Molly knocked on Lilith's knockers you both were, in a way, exposed to the magic world, given a new sight but also granted powers. The extent of your powers is unknown at the moment as well as the specialty which every witch and wizard has. Now from what I've researched getting powers isn't normal, most folk who knock on the door are only given the gift of sight or, in rare cases, get in touch with their magic DNA if they have it... We don't have much more time... From what I can tell Both you and Molly share a bit of magical DNA, or your DNA has mutated to accept this new magic."
I glanced at the door to her room then back at her.
With a quick search I found the book on her dresser.
I slipped past her and grabbed the book, pushing it into her hands in a quick movement.
"Read this. Protect your brother. They can't know I know you or more suspicion would be place onto. Your family. I have to go.."
I kissed her swiftly and grabbed my bag in a frantic exit.
More research require.
(Oh Kay.. I just added the Chimeara and the way he pause it seemed like her was making it up so I figure he was covering for the fact that he was going to the Chimaera.. That would tie together nicely I think, don't you?)

Re: The Ye Old Shoppe o' Curiosities (An OpenBook Production)
Robin: As he shut the door behind him, I let out a little sigh, "Bye then."
Opening the door again, I jumped to see Oli beginning to trudge up the stairs, spinning a screwdriver in his hand absentmindedly. Shoving the book under my arm, I leant against the doorframe.
"He left quickly, didn't he? Didn't do anything to scare him off?"
As my brother laughed, I just smirked. It was kind of funny that I knew that he might be meeting a girl anytime soon who her parents had planned for him to produce offspring with.
"He had to go home quickly. Turns out he had a dentists appointment and he forgot. If he didn't get there as soon as possible then he would have missed it and his parents wouldn't be happy about it. But I think it's Mom who is a little more disappointed than me."
With a chuckle, I slipped past him on the stairs and hobbled down to the living room, the book still under my arm. If this girl was 'dropping by' soon then it was most likely best that I was down here to see her for myself.
(I was possibly thinking about that, but I wasn't sure that you had something else planned for that and if he came in then it was a bit...nevermind)
Fergie: Okay, so they stopped, and they were both staring; Molly and that weird lion thing that she had just tamed... Well that's awkward.
Stepping out from behind the bush, I kept my hands up to make sure that she didn't think that I was dangerous...or to make me look a bit like an idiot.
"Hello," I grinned hesitantly, "I see you found my Guinea Pig."

Johnny- _researching-nothing interesting to write_
Lila: I grimaced at the driver, he had done nothing but glance back at me as he drove. Sure I looked a bit, what was e best word? Out of place? Different? Scary? My parent had decided that I could wear whatever I wanted because it didn't matter what I wore I'd they controlled my life. The only thing that seemed normal to me was my hair, I had my waist length auburn hair in a thick braid, it was as simple as I could get it.
The rest of me, well...
Let's just say I wore it to piss off my parents.
I wore a tight plaid miniskirt with fishnet stockings that had little red bows attached in various spots. My black combat books had red lace attached around the seams and, I thought, tied in with the tights nicely. A simple black tank top and a short white T sat ontop. The t shirt had a little red rose on it, sensing a theme here, I hope so. My face held only a light amount of makeup, dark around the eyes and a reddish lipgloss, but no piercings I only had a few on my ears.
Overall it wasn't my most rebel outfit that I had so I figured it'd be fine. I had decided to either tell my parents that male number three was unfit for me or I intended to scare him away.
Whichever came first.
I groaned as the car stopped in front of the simple house and with a glare from me the driver quickly stepped out and opened my door. I slipped out and sighed, here goes a good hour of my time.
I walked up to the front door and knocked, trying not to look irritated.
Molly: I flinched and began to back away, he.. Fergie.. I couldn't see him.
"I-I.."
I whimpered and glanced around for my exits. It was a forest so there were a few acceptable ones but Fergie was faster and more knowledgeable about this place. I couldn't let him catch me, I wouldn't want to leave.
I blushed realizing my stupid outfit as I reached for a smoke pellet.
"Please keep your beast contained and I won't have to bother you anymore.."
I choked out.
