A voice came from the shadow. "Your husband was killed for what he told you. If you tell anyone what he said or that he was killed by our government, you and your little girl will pay the same price as him."
Jasmine: I closed my eyes, and shivered in fear. They were the exact words said to my mother. I was there watching, at the time I didn't fully understand what was happening, but later on I did.
Kyle: I stepped out from where the voice was. "Thats what the US FBI said to her mother on her 7th birthday, only 6 days after her fathers funeral. Her mother was killed 3 months later for disobeying what was said, and she was sent to a children's home, where she was forced to attend the school that you and I went to."

Alice looked from Kyle to Jasmine and regretted for acting the way she did. "J-Jasmine, I-I....I'm so sorry." She said.

Kyle: "I've taught her to look at the largest picture possible. And in short we've came to the conclusion, if that hadn't happened she wouldn't have met me. She wouldn't be able to speak freely, and she would've never known how her father died. On my end if I hadn't met her, I probably would've died shortly after our argument."
Jasmine: "Please Alice, come with me, get some rest. We'll figure everything out in the morning. I need to get a new plan ready, I have to assign commanders for the other base, you both have to be the head generals of that base for now. You both need rest." I pleaded the both of them.

Alice stood there then nodded, "Fine." As she walked back to the small office, her hand brushed past Kyle's as she whispered, "I'm sorry for everything." She didn't look back.

Jasmine: I followed her back, I didn't like her being sorry for me. But Kyle would've been upset if I spoke out about it. He saw it as rude to tell someone that they shouldn't be sorry. But he did it to me all the time...

Alice nodded, closing her eyes. "What I told you earlier....Don't tell Kyle. I need to tell him when the time is right." She said quietly, her hands shoving into her pockets.

Jasmine: I smiled at her as I began to walk off. "I didn't hear a thing." I lied in a giggling voice.

Alice's lips curled into a smile, "Thank you." She said and sighed. She pulled her gloves off and gazed at the intricate patterns that covered her fingers, her palms, her whole arm. Her eyes widened as they went from black to a beautiful snow color. She frowned.

Jasmine: As we got back to the office I returned to my desk, "Take the bed, I still have some more work to do before I can sleep."

Alice frowned, "Are you sure, Jasmine? You need sleep to." When there was silence, she muttered something in the ancient language and went to the bed.

Jasmine: For most of the night I was constantly writing things, erasing others, and shaking my head from disappointment. Finally I wrote something and went over to Alice, and I laid a folded letter on her chest, careful to not wake her up. She could read it in the morning if she wanted, I thought to myself. I returned to the desk and resumed what I was doing until finally I passed out working on a folder of things.

Jasmine: When morning came I was still laying on my desk, I had only been asleep for a short time. But the light was telling me I had to get moving. I still didn't move quiet yet.

Kyle: I entered the room and yelled out, "Everyone up! We got work, American mercs were seen not to long ago."

Jasmine: I sat up a little and began to rub my eyes.

Alice's eyes opened and she sat up, already wide awake. She looked at the letter and furrowed her brow, curious. She looked at Jasmine, knowing it was from her but not knowing what the letter read. She looked at Kyle and nodded, standing and stretching. "Let me get changed cause the blood in my clothes dried up. It's hard to move in them." She brushed pass him as she walked to the infirmary where her backpack was. It contained her pistols, medical equipment, and of course, her clothes. She entered the infirmary and knelt down by her bag, unzipping it and taking out the pistols and searching through her clothes. Something clean please?

Jasmine: I stood up and stretched yawning. "How many of them?" I questioned.

Alice took out her leather jacket that was cropped and had sleeves that stopped halfway to the elbow. She also took out her black leather skinny pants and her boots and went into the bathroom to quickly change. As she did, she began to gaze at her marks. After a few minutes, she walked out of the bathroom, not noticing how her hair went from black to a light blonde that covered her head in loose elegant curls. Her skin stayed porcelain colored and one of her silver eyes became the color of fire itself.

Jasmine: "How long ago were they spotted?"

Kyle: "No more then an hour."

Jasmine: I nodded my head in acknowledgement.

Alice walked back to Kyle and Jasmine, her pistols strapped to her thighs along with her tactical knife that lengthened to a big ass sword. She caught part of the conversation.

Jasmine: I smiled at Alice, kyle had stolen my words. I had nothing to replace them.

Alice nodded, not needing to say anything. She grabbed the letter, stuffing it into her jacket's pocket. Her hand stayed as she turned to Jasmine, "So what's our next move?"

Jasmine: I noticed the letter as Alice moved it to her jacket. "There's nothing we can do at the moment. Kyle get the bases defense groups ready and in position. Alice stay with me for a couple minutes I'll have a job for you later."
