As they entered the village, a small, haggard looking boy in ragged clothing walked up to Tarrant. "Please, sir," he said in a piteous voice, "Do you have pennies to spare for a poor family?"
Tarrant looked at the boy, then over the boy's shoulder. Sitting against a building was the boy's family. Mother, father, son, and baby- homeless, hunger, and sick. "I have something better than pennies," Tarrant said to the boy. As he said it, the family's ailments were gone.
It was at that moment, that Vespera made the sun shine. The boy's family cheered the loudest.
