Elzaque looked up at him, still purring, her tail twitching, and she nodded, as if in understanding. But he would put it off as chance. He would not think she could understand him...

[Charlie]

He sighed, "You're a cat, and Essena. And I'm talking to you. I've gone mental haven't I." he kept on stroking the cat.

[in~the~clouds]

[color=cyan]Elzaque shook her head.

((would you like to do the other cc for now? the one that Pavinone Lights started? 'Cause they might be starting pretty soon, and we can stop on this one for tonight/now))

[Charlie]

Evan sighed, the cat just shook it's head. He looked at her, another small smile escaping his mouth. "Don't know if you understand me or not, but you seem to be the only thing that will even listen to me."

[in~the~clouds]

Elzaque blinked once and stood up, rubbing against the boy, ruffling her fur.

[Charlie]

Evan stopped petting the cat. He hoped he had not upset it. His smile went away, not to a frown but not to a smirk either, his lips were just forming a line on his face.

For a moment, Elzaque couldn't decide what to do. THose red red eyes-
And she walked away, then turned to face the boy, nodding at him, and said one word.
"Meow."

[Charlie]

Evan smiled, as he waved at the cat. He waved a cat, he was mental maybe. Well he prayed he wasn't.

[in~the~clouds]

Elzaque mouthed it as best as she could.
I know you
and then she left, wandered around the corner of the house, and let go of her transparency.

[Charlie]

Evan tilted his head at the cat, as it disappeared.

Rana:
I listened as Elza mind-spoke with me for the first time after visiting the red-eyed boy.
But she had nothing.
We needed to do something.
Without a second thought, I became almost completely invisible, so that the humming would be quiet, and left the tree with only a slight rustle of the leaves.

[Charlie]

The wind that Evan hadn't felt rustled the leaves again. He sighed, and tried to adjust his position, but ended up not moving at all. He closed his eyes, and leaned his head against the side of his house. He opened them again, and sighed.

[in~the~clouds]

Rana:
I slipped over to the corner of the house where Elzaque was hidden, and then-
I snapped a twig, and the boy jerked up.
Carefully, I crept further away from him, but the damage was done.

[Charlie]

Evan heard the twig snap. "Who's there?" he called out. He was sitting up no longer leaning against the house. He would be standing if it weren't for his leg.

[in~the~clouds]

Rana:
Carefully, then, I made my choice.
I crept up, silently this time, except for the humming, and up the trees, and gone. Elza followed, leaping from branch to branch like a cat. She doesn't always use her wings.

[Charlie]

Evan sighed. "I've lost." he said out loud. His mind was playing tricks on him, is imagination going wild.

Rana:
Elzaque and I stayed in the trees for the rest of the night. I was warm enough, and managed to find a good spot to doze off in.

[Charlie]

Evan didn't want to go inside, not while his friend was their. So he slept outside.

Rana:
Even with the branches in my face, I could still see the boy. He wouldn't go back indie, just sat there and dozed off, and I felt the heavy weight of sleep pressing on me.
