He thought about what happened when one disappeared. He thought about what it would be like.

Rana:
Elzaque stayed close to the house, listening in, and she sent it all back to me.
To think they thought I would expirement on another being, even if he was... abnormal, I guess.
I moved around in the tree I was hidden in, rustling the leaves a gentle bit, and stopped when the boy, with the red eyes, hobbled out of the door. Elzaque slinked around the corner of the house, silent and invisible as all cats were in the dark, but still some of the light from the moon glinted off of her eyes. For a moment, I thought of going invisible, but the humming would be too loud in the quiet night.

[Charlie]

Evan looked up at the night sky. The stars, maybe he would be a star or something, his imagination was going crazy. He listened to the leaves rustle thinking it must have just been the wind.

Rana:
The boy glanced over near where I was, then looked away, and I decided. Slowly, I faded, slowly letting the humming grow to a slight noise, almost silent, until I was see-through, but not quite invisible, and I thought I saw the No Essena look over, but it was a trick of the moonlight.
Elzaque faded as I did.

[Charlie]

Evan thought he heard a humming, but it was his mind playing tricks on him. He was sure of it. He examined his splinted leg. He hadn't spooked the horse, he was sure of it. Or did he? Evan began to loose faith in himself.

[in~the~clouds]

Elzaque looked up at her Rah' Kassa.
And then she padded out into the open, out past the corner of the house, and let herself turn. Now she seemed like a ghost, pearly and foglike, but visible. Maybe she could get the No Essena, the Choiceless Rah' Kassa, to speak to her.
People liked animals that seemed to listen.
Rana:
I saw Elzaque, and muffled a shriek. I didn't want to get caught, her or me. Oh, Elzaque, I thought, I hope you know what you're doing...

[Charlie]

Evan looked at the ghost like cat, and jumped a bit. He shook his head, but it didn't leave. "H-hello." Evan stuttered.

[in~the~clouds]

Elzaque backed away from the boy, giving alight, warning hiss. She couldn't be too friendly, otherwise- well, he would be suspicious anyway.
Elzaque crept closer to the boy, to the Choiceless, creeping and cautious, but silently...

[Charlie]

Evan watched it closely, before realizing what it was. And it wasn't his, he had no Essena. "Um, shouldn't you be getting back..." he trailed off.

Elzaque spread her wings a little to the side, still crouched and circling the boy.
And then she jumped.
The boy jerked, startled, then winced, and Elzaque still circled the boy, but now she was flying, illuminated by the stars and moon, a slight hissing still coming from her.

[Charlie]

Evan was so confused. And a bit scared. He watched her circling him. Could an Essena kill him. He had no clue. But he didn't really want to find out. And do to his leg he couldn't do much about it.

Elzaque hovered and slowed, stopped growling. For a moment, she looked at the boy, a straight on gaze, the broke off, flying a little closer to the boy, edging closer and closer to the boy in her ghost-like form

[Charlie]

Evan backed up against the house as much as he could. What was this Essena doing. He wasn't going to hurt it or anything. He just wanted to know what it was doing to him.

[in~the~clouds]

She dropped to the ground and padded up to the frightened boy. It had to be the ghost-like that was frightening him, didn't it?
She wandered over to the boy, and rubbed against his leg, her soft black fur becoming ruffled.

[Charlie]

Evan was even more terrified, was he being marked or something. He didn't move however. He stayed stiff and rigid.

Elzaque lied down one her stomach then, and placed her paws in front of her and began licking them. The Choiceless one was terrified of her! She could have laughed at that- purred- and she purred, a soft, quiet sound, barely noticeable.

[Charlie]

Evan finally got up the courage. He reached out his hand towards the cat, to pet her. He went slow.

Elzaque stayed perfectly still, watching the boy unblinkingly through her bright green eyes as he stroked her fur. She purred a little louder.

[Charlie]

Evan continued to softly pet the cat. Hoping to seem friendly. He didn't want to scare it or hurt. he enjoyed animals quite a bit.

[in~the~clouds]

Purring contentedly (she is a cat, after all) Elzaque leaned against the boy, who was sitting with his legs straight in front of him. He continued to pet her, and she pured and purred. She was enjoying this.

[Charlie]

Evan let a small smile slip, as he pet the cat. She seemed quite friendly. But he wondered who she belonged to, and where they were.

Rana:
I watched as the boy pet Elzaque. I would need to watch the girl though, the other one that had been helping him...

[Charlie]

Evan heard her messing around in the house, and sighed. He looked at the cat. "I wish she would just leave me alone. She treats me like a baby." he said, "And now she has taken over my home."

Elzaque looked up at him, still purring, her tail twitching, and she nodded, as if in understanding. But he would put it off as chance. He would not think she could understand him...
