"Dad, its been almost four years." Gabe paused, as his father talked. "How is Ron? Dad, he died remember!" Gabe yelled into the phone. "Oh wait, you were gone, not even going to the funeral." Gabe waited. "No I don't have a place for you to stay." He hung up.

He looked at Nikki, "Sorry about that."

Nikki woke up and realized the Gabe was still asleep. Smiling, she decided to get up and fix breakfast since he'd been so welcoming to her. So, she climbed out of bed in the over-sized t-shirt that she'd borrowed from him and went into the kitchen.
