Vivian: I set my basketball beside me. The booth i'd picked was big enough, I think. It went around a corner and had extra space. I look up when I hear the grumble of a motor. I blink. It's that one guy...Kato? Yeah. "Um, hey," i call him over, getting his attention. "Nice...scooter," I comment as he gets close enough to hear me. I check the clock. I'd think Ashe and Nev would be here already. Maybe they got caught up in traffic or something...I shrug it off.

Through my helmet and the sound of my engine, I don't hear her. I take the keys from it and it instantly quietens as I shove them in my parka. I sit down, fishing my phone out and begin texting Sandra.

Hi babe, if you feel any better, feel free to get some ice cream with me and a couple of mates from the swim team. You know the place, the one that does the homemade cones. Love you xx Kato x

Vivian: He didn't hear me. Figures, he's still got his helmet on. I roll my eyes, leaning over toward him to knock on his helmet. Idiot, "Hey." I say a little louder this time. "Anybody home?" I ask loudly. I lean back against the seat's cushions. Jeez, it's worse than trying to talk to Neva through her huge headphones when she's listening to Eminem.

I take it off quickly and squint for a brief moment, before exclaiming in realisation: "I know you!" I pressed the send button on my phone and smiled up at her. I didn't know her name, but I still knew her. After all, her first appearance was... interesting.

Vivian: I smirk, then cover my mouth with a hand. "Hey! I know you too!" I fake a laugh. "You're that one swimming guy," I say like it's obvious. "Funny seeing you here." I add, sarcastically. Jeez, it's only been like an hour. I think. I glance up when i see Saffron walking to the door.

Saffron: If he is following me, I swear to God I will pour liquid nitrogen over his head... I stumble to the parlour, seeing the two. "Hey." I say casually.

Kato: I laugh. "So, will coming into our changing room be a regular thing? I'm sure Ridge would-" Speak of the devil...

Vivian: I wave to Saffron, then drop my hand when I realize who's behind her. Oh god. I turn back to Kato. "Like Hell i will," i say under my breath. "Good to see you Saffron." I lean to the side to peek at Ridge. "You...not so much." I don't even bother asking why he's here, or for him to leave. "Hey, where's Nev and Ashe?" I swivel to face Kato. I have a feeling he knows.

Ridge: "Nice to know I'm welcome..." I mutter, before getting an evil stare from the three.
Saffron: "I told you not to come." I growled under my breath. Idiot.
Kato: "Well, the girl that Ashe was with was chatting up these college blokes, I think she might have got a couple of their numbers, but I don't know." I pause for a moment. "Oh, Mikey was one of them. Nice bloke, nice bloke... You wouldn't know him..."

Vivian: I nod understandingly. I see, Neva just got preoccupied. Then you know what happened? Ridge slides into his spot on the bench. right next to me. Yay. I let out a deep breath, ignoring it. Hopefully he won't be pulling anything funny. or he can say goodbye to his face.

Ashe: "We need to go," I groan, leaning against my car. Neva was looking through the windows of the shops bellow her apartment.
"Wha..? Oh, right," she smiles brightly and walks over to where I'm waiting impatiently. "Let's go, slow poke, jeez..."
I roll my eyes. Seriously.

Kato: "Ridge, give it a break." I say as he sits next to the other girl. "She's had enough of you already."
Ridge: I look at him puzzledly, almost kinda hurt...
Saffron: "Ridge, piss off." I told him bluntly, smiling sarcasticly.
Ridge: Ouch...

Vivian: I sigh, "You can keep sitting there." I allow. "Just don't..." Touch me, look at me...lots of things would work there. "Don't think you're getting anywhere with me, ok?" i say sweetly as, look who it is, Ashe and Neva walk in! Neva slips into place on Ridge's other side.
"Hey, I know you," she smiles at him. I repress a sigh. Ashe plops down next Saffron. So now we were all here. Awkward silence...I clear my throat, waving down the waiter. He yawns, walking slowly over to us. Can you walk any slower? Seriously.
"Everyone order," I say, a little exasperated now. i cross my arms on the table and rest my forehead on them. I feel someone's hand hover above my back. "Don't. touch me," I mutter.

Kato: I sigh. Were we forgetting something? I swear we were, but I couldn't place my finger on it. It can't be anything too important...
Ridge: I put my hands up in the air "Okay, okay." Saffron shook her head at me, livid. "Two champagnes for the table, sir." I tell the waiter, then turn back to the others. "It's on me."
Saffron. Show off. That would be a couple of weeks of allowance spent, at least. And he never seemed to have money anyway.

Vivian: I sit up at that, turning to Ridge. "Are you serious? We're at an ice cream shop. They're not gonna have champagne." I rub my forehead.
"I can get you ginger ale..." The waiter drawls slowly.
"That's fine."
"Ok," he walks away after that.
I push away from the table, my arms braced against the edge. "So..." I look around at everyone. Neva is trying to strike conversation up with Ridge and Ashe is engraving something with a paperclip into the table.

Kato: I looked around. We sat on a table of six, purposely, and all of the seats were clearly taken. I must be going mad.
Saffron: I nudge Ashe, jogging him as the varnish scraps of in a nice large curved line. I smile. "You shouldn't be doing that, you know." I tell him.
Ridge: "I thought they would have it..." I sighed. They had a champagne sorbet here, I had noticed. special edition. That would do, wouldn't it?

Ashe: I shrug. "I gotta work on my art skills when I can," I smirk over at Saffron. "You wanna leave something behind?" I offer the paperclip to her.
Neva: I make a sad face, leaning against Ridge's arm. "Aw..it's ok." I squeeze his forearm gently.
Vivian: I drum my fingers on the table, making a face. Well this was just fun. I should've mentioned doing something else..."Anyone wanna go shoot hoops with me after this?" I end up asking. Neva groans and Ashe looks up at me incredulously.
"Are you serious?" Neva leans against Ridge's arm with exasperation. Ashe just shakes his head without saying else.
"What? It's that bad?" I ask, grimacing a little.

(agh..i'm running out of ideas...*sobs*

Kato: "Basketball?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. That was just too low for me. "I think I'll have the puke flavour ice cream instead." I say. A little harsh, but oh well.
Saffron: "Frankly, no." I turn away again, huffing.
Ridge: "I like that." I whisper into Neva's ear, smiling, and instantly recieve a dissaproving glance from Saffron. Again.
Kato: My phone buzzes.

Who's there? I might be able to make it.

I text back instantly.

Hey babe
Ashe, Saffron, Rory-

Shit, Rory. "Guys, we're missing someone." I say, but go back to texting.

A couple of Ashe's mates, and Ridge just showed up.

It finished, and I lock my phone again.

Vivian: I open my mouth to continue, but when i hear what Kato just said. "What, was that?" I demand coldly. Ashe sighs, i hear a "here we go again.." from him. I glare at Kato. "No seriously, what's so bad about basketball?" I snap. Ashe gives me a warning glance as my voice rises, but I ignore it.
Neva: I giggle, pressing closer to him. College boys were so overrated. I look to Ridge. "Yeah?" I whisper back, half smiling.
Ashe: I glance to the door, spotting Rory's mom's car pulling up. Rory rushes through the door, his hair sticking up kinda funny looking. "Hey Rory," i greet. He looks downfallen when he sees there's not enough space for him. "Um," I look around for an extra chair.
"You know what? You can sit here, Rory." Vivian pushes away from the table and stalks for the door. I cover my face with a hand. Dear God.
"Viv--"
But she's already pushing through the door. i turn to Kato. "She's a little touchy on the basketball subject," i admit, although it's pretty obvious.
"You should go apologize," Neva adds in a stage whisper.

Kato: "Sure." I stage whisper back, rolling my eyes. I storm out as she did, and Rory looks around blankly.
"Hey!" I call after her. It would help if I could remember her name...

Ashe: I wave Rory over. "Hey," I greet him just as the waiter comes back.
"We actually have champagne sorbet. Would you like that instead?" he asks slowly. Ridge gives me a 'told you so' look while Neva snuggles closer to him.
"Yeah, sure," i say to the waiter guy. He bobs his head before turning around and shuffling back to the front. Sheesh..that kid's messed up.

Vivian: I can't believe Ashe is friends with someone that horrible! Someone that doesn't like basketball? God. I stumble a step when I hear a voice from behind me. I whip around and spot that guy. I roll my eyes and turn back around. "I don't wanna hear it," i mutter to myself. If i run some laps, I could run some steam off. Or just shoot some hoops by myself. But I'm assuming he didn't come out on his own account. Ashe probably forced him. I sigh, turning back around to face him. he'd actually followed me a couple of steps and almost runs into me when I suddenly stop.

Kato: "Uh, hey." I say, ruffling the back of my head. "So, uh..." My mind goes blank. "Well..."

Ridge: I kiss Neva's forehead, looking up at Ashe and grinning, trying to make him pissed.
Saffron perks up. "Ridge, I swear, if you don't bloody stop it now, I'm calling a taxi for all of us. Which doesn't include you." she grits her teeth at me, but to annoy her, I raise an eyebrow.
Rory, however, just looks between us both, thinking of something clever to say. You can just tell by that riduculously stupid perplexed look on his messed up face.

Vivian: I wait a few more seconds. so awkward. "Well this was fun." I say with a fake smile. "Now, why don't you go run along back to Ashe and spin a little white lie on how amazing your apology went." I say sarcastically. Ok, so i was being a little mean, but i wasn't letting him off easy for dissin' my sport! I mean, how would he like it if i told him swimming was stupid?

Kato: I sigh. "How about I apologise to you and go back to him with you by my side, telling the truth about how amazing the apology went?" I combatted her. "Well?"

Vivian : I stare him down. "Well let's see what you got, hot shot," I say after a moment. Man, this oughta be rich. Hm...I wonder if I can make a three pointer backwards. It's something to ponder. I drop my basketball and dribble it as I think, looking over my shoulder for a few seconds to see if anyone else was at the court. One oter person. A little round of one on one sounded pretty good.

I scrunched my nose up, "To be honest, I-"
My phone buzzed, showing three words.

Can't. Too ill.

I exhaled. "Why not?" I grimaced. The real question was why! I inhaled. "Let's get it over and done with..."

Vivian : I glance at his phone. Quite a popular little swimer he was. I was starting to get edgey just standing here. "Look, I kinda want to go play, so...you can come with and apologize. Or I can just leave you here and we can leave it at that." I leave it up to him. See, aren't I nice?

Kato: "So, what about the ice cream?" I asked, feeling a little dumb. "Can't I make you go back for that? I mean, I don't even know your name, but It'll still be a laugh. We just need to bully Ridge into going home." I joked, though she didn't seem to find it amusing.
