Kato: "So, what about the ice cream?" I asked, feeling a little dumb. "Can't I make you go back for that? I mean, I don't even know your name, but It'll still be a laugh. We just need to bully Ridge into going home." I joked, though she didn't seem to find it amusing.

Vivian: I press my lips together. Well at least he wasn't rubbing something mean into my face like I thought he would. I mean, if i got this chance, I knew i would. but that's just me. I let my shoulders sag a little and nod. "I guess. C'mon," I say lightly, not looking at him as I lead the way back to the ice cream shop. All my anger was spent, so I was doing a little better.
When I get inside, I can tell they got the champagne ice cream. and a lot of it. Neva was sitting in Ridge's lap while they whispered things to each other, giggling every once and a while. Ok, maybe they'd had a lot of the ice cream. Ashe tilts his chair back on the back to legs and looks at us.
"Hey look who's back," he grins a lopsided smile at me. "Rory showed up!"
I sigh, a faint smile on my lips. "I know, i saw, Ashe." Ashe had a little too, i think.

Saffron: I shook my head at them; even Rory was starting to get clingy to me, and I was an inch away from slapping him. I didn't know him that well, but still. I look up to see the two walking towards us. "Thank God someone else is sober!" I exclaim, standing up in a huff, pushing Rory off of me. Guess I'm driving the drunkard home tonight. I didn't have a license yet, but I knew enough to learn from his mistakes.
Kato: "Yeah..." I shrug, raising my eyebrow at the group. No doubt Ridge was going to over exaggurate what exactly he did with Neva... "You had anything yet?" I asked Saffron, by she but her arms in the air with a loud "No!" She may not have had anything, but the presence of alcohol was still grating on her.

Vivian: I was about to ask how much Neva had, but she was off making out with Ridge. I plop down in my old spot, "I'm seriously considering just going to my own table to enjoy my soberness while i can," i say out loud. Ashe snorts, then bursts out laughing. I slowly slide his bowl of ice cream towards me. "I think someone's had enough..." i mutter. He shakes his head.
"No no no, you're just hilarious, Viv." Rory nods his head in agreement as the two of them snicker to each other. I look to Kato.
"I think just going to the court would be better than this." I admit. Neva pulls her face away from Ridge for a moment.
"Hey, you're back, Vivvy," she giggles before going back to kissing Ridge. I slap my hand to my face.
"I swear to god if this gets any worse then it did at Rita Sorenson's sweet sixteen..." I mutter. Ashe bursts into another round of laughter.
"Oh yeah! I can't believe I caught you with Michael Hills in Rita's bedroom!" He snorts with laughter as my face reddens. Ok, Ashe has had way too much alcohol. I lean over the table at him, smiling a fake sweet smile.
"Ashe? Are you listening?" I ask slowly. "When you're sober enough to care, I am going to kill you. Do you understand?" I ask him. He just giggles. Well I tried.

Kato: I begin to walk away, and Saffron, for fear of her life, follows. I gesture to Vivian. "Coming?" I ask. No way was I going to play basketball though.
Ridge shoves his face into Neva's, his hands crawling up the back of her shirt. Rory walks around to them and watches intently, a couple of inches from their faces.

Vivian: I nod, smacking Ashe upside the head when i walk past him. "Watch them, will you?" I ask aimlessly. He snickers.
"Rory's already got that covered!"
I sigh, glad when I close the door on them. I walk a little faster when we get closer to the court. I instantly recognize the two already there. Miles and Ian. Ian waves to me, jogging over with a grin on his face.
"Hey Viv." he looks over at Kato and Saffron. "Hey...um, Viv's friends.." he greets after a moment. i roll my eyes.
"You wanna play some one on one?" I ask him. He nods eagerly.
"Yeah i do! I haven't played you all summer."
Miles is off to the side, sitting by the chainlink fence and drinking some water. I dribble the ball to the middle, surveying the court. I knew Ian had a weak left side, but that would mean he's been working on it. So i fake left a few steps before pivoting around him to his right and shoot. Swish. I smirk over at him. He glares playfully.
"All right. I let you do that."
"Yeah right," I call back to him, daring make a shot for the other side. It falls short and Ian snatches it from the air, coming back down only to smash in a slam dunk. I take the basketball and spin it on a finger.
"I can still do this and you can't." I tease him.
"But it ain't playing." he knocks it off and dribbles off. I chase after him. trying to steal from Ian is near impossible and he makes the next four points. But then we get serious. I score five to two before he can make a comeback with six to three. It doesn't stay too serious though. When i try blocking him and look for an opening to pivot around him again, he leans over me, his long arms cutting me off.
"Gotcha," he breathes in my ear. Lemme explain; me and Ian love teasing each other. In more ways than one. if you know what I mean. I grin, bouncing the ball behind him and getting away while he was distracted and making the next shot. We're both breathing hard and getting tired by then, so we decide to take a break. We walk side by side off to the side where Saffron and Kato stand a few feet away from Miles.
"So, how's standing here going for you?" I ask them with a half smile. Basketball always made me feel better. always.

Saffron: "Fine-"
Kato: "Bored-" We spoke at the same time, and Saffron nudged my in the ribs. "Ouch..."
Saffron: I perked up, remembering the kitkat I still had in my bag. I took it out eagerly, breaking off a stick for myself.
Kato: It looked dull, but did you- "Have fun?" I asked, a blank expression masking my face.

Vivian: I press my lips together. "Yeah, I did." I retort. Ian smiles at them, holding a hand out to them.
"Hey, I'm Ian." he glances over at me. "I'm surprised you even hang around these guys since they seem so into basketball." he smirks. I don't. He looks back to the other two.
"So how did you guys even meet?" He asks curiously. I look away.
"Friend's of Ashe's," I mutter.
He nods understandingly. "Swimmers, eh? Cool."
Cool, I mock in my head. "If you guys are so bored, then why don't you go find a puddle or something?" i mumble.

Kato: "I would, but I'm afraid of you melting if i splash you." I retort. Usually, Saffron would have elbowed me a lot harder than that, but she was pretty sensitive to thd whole swimming thing, as I was.
She looked at Vivian, before uttering; "Thanks, you didn't have to say that."

Ridge had somehow got it into his head that they were alone, but were in fact far from it, especially with Rory watching them intently. He grabbed the top button of her shirt, breaking the thread off in a desperate attempt to undo it. I breathed out loudly, my lopsided mouth attempting to make contact with hers.

Vivian: I frown, "Sorry Saffron." I don't even look at Kato. I bet I could get him to admit basketball was an ok sport if he just let me. But I was starting to get to know the kind of person he was, and I was starting to doubt myself. Ian attempts at lighting the mood.
"Um," He clears his throat. "Where's everyone else then?" he asks carefully. I shrug. I wonder if I can make my escape now.
"Maybe I should go check on them..."
"I could come with you guys," Ian puts in. I give him a look. "or not.."

Neva: "You know what," I gasp between kisses. "You should come over...later." I dive back in, totally disregarding that being watched feeling. "I have a....pool...and we could...swim...and stuff..." I smile against his lips. This was so worth it.

Kato: "Let's go then." I sighed, standing quickly. Anywhere apart from this concrete dump.

Ridge buried his face back into her, with an approving "Mm-hmm." Hid hands went under the back of her shirt, massaging her back.

Vivian: I wave to Ian as we start heading back. "See you later Viv!" he calls. I give a simple nod. That would probably happen anyway. I turn to the other two, walking backwards so that i'm facing them.
"See, I'm so much perkier after I play some basketball!" I say with a huge grin, pretending, or course. I don't actually smile that big normally. I mean, who does anyway?

Saffron: "I can see." I gave her a false smile as well, the kind of pursed lips one.
Kato: I raised an eyebrow, considering whether to ask her if she was doing speed or something. I just shook my head, and carried on walking towards the ice cream place.

(agh...this is turning into a fail, isn't it? :S)

Vivian: I let my smile drop as we walk into the ice cream shop. Ok, it was gonna be gone anyway. I mean, seriously? Ashe looked like he'd fallen asleep, Rory was still being a little creeper and watching, you guessed it, Neva and Ridge make out. They were still at it, and I swear if Neva's shirt was hiked up any higher...Of course this is when she decides to turn around and look at us. Her dark falls into her eyes as she smiles breathlessly at us. God, Ridge doesn't even bother to stop kissing her. I frown a bit.
"Hey guys. You wanna come over to my place and swim?" she asks, all cheerful. I stare at her with wide eyes. Is she kidding me? She's just gonna let them..? Jesus. I close my eyes, shaking my head and plopping down beside Ashe. He starts as I slide the bowl of ice cream from his hands.
"I'm gonna need this," I mumble. He just gives me a weird look.
"You ok?"
"Glad you're concerned," I say sarcastically. He shrugs, smiling a sheepish smile.
"Yeah...I was awake earlier. And Rory was doing a good job at watching...those two.." he runs his fingers through his hair and glances over at him. I do too. Mental note; never kiss a guy in front of that kid.

Kato: I sit down next to Vivian, grinning as I slid the ice cream that she had just claimed away from her. "Sorry." I say with a naughty smile, picking up a clean spoon to shove it in the half melted mixture. I look up to see Ridge trying to make out with Neva's cheek and raise an eyebrow, then my eyes change focus and see Rory opening his mouth slightly, watching the two and almost studying them, and I raise the other eyebrow before looking down. Saffron sits down in a huff next to me, clearly annoyed with the drunkards, and she waits for Ridge to look up so she can give him a nasty scowl, but he never does. She give up in the end and leans on the table, looking towards the three on her left; Ashe, Vivian, and me. I decide to answer Neva's question. "Yeah, I'll go." After all, I doubted those two would be doing much swimming...

(ahh...never mind. it's just me :3 i keep getting these brain dead moments where I sit at the computer screen thinking of something to write back :p)

Vivian: I make a face at Kato before picking up another plastic spoon left on the table and chucking it at the back of Neva's head. She jumps, whipping around to glare at me. I blink innocently.
"So were we going swimming or going to have a sex ed lesson from you two?" I ask her cheekily. She sighs, rolling her eyes and reluctantly slides off of Ridge.
"Yeah yeah, but you're gonna have to help me to the car." She mumbles, hiccuping a little.
"I'd rather just walk," I mutter to myself. She squints at me.
"What did you just say?" she drawls. I start to get up from the table.
"I said, I'm sure you can walk." I lie, flicking the side of Ashe's head to get his attention. He looked a little zoned out there for a second. Man, I didn't even wanna go swimming. Maybe I could get away with just watching...Eh, probably not. I trudge towards the door, letting Ashe help Neva up.

(lol, don't worry, I have those moments regularly. Thought I'd have a time out to draw a scooter on a huge board, and now I'm bursting with creativity! Well, sorta... )

Kato: "Anyone sober want to go on the back of my scooter?" I ask, and look at Saffron.
Saffron: "Sorry, can't, I have to drive Mr Crinkle Cut Crisp there."I get up in a huff, dragging Ridge out of his seat and pulling him to the car. It sucks, I would've been able to get a little drunk if he hadn't bothered to come. "Get in." I demanded as we reached it.
Kato: I shook my head, wondering why the hell she was driving Ridge back. I look to Vivian. Seeing as the other Sober person had to decline, it would only be polite to ask her... "You want a ride?" I offer.

Vivian: I look over at him. No! Why would he even ask? Haven't we established we don't do polite stuff for each other---
"Sure, why not," i say, following him out. I felt bad for Saffron. I mean, I'd drive, really, but I doubt I'd be able to stomach Neva and Ridge in the back seat. Maybe we should split those two up..just until we get to Neva's, at least. Or forever. Who was ok with forever? Just me? Oh well.

I smile awkwardly. "Sure." But do you know what the worst thing was? The champagne's-on-me gesture from Ridge proved to be forgotton. I sighed deeply, before asking the waiter: "How much is the bill?" He walked slowly to the till and back and presented with me with a figure that put a lump in my throat. "Oh-oh-kay..." I managed to say, reaching into my back jeans pocket for about five notes- still wouldn't be enough. So I handed my credit card over instead. Ridge had BETTER pay me back for this..." After a long wait, I had the card back in my pocket, and I was walking towards my scooter stiffly, helmet under my arm.

Vivian: I raise a brow when Mr. Grumpy-Face walks out. Someone was having a bad day. "What's got your swim trunks in a bunch there?" I ask him when he gets close enough. Although, considering why we were here in the first place, I had a few ideas of what was getting Kato so unhappy looking. Maybe I shouldn't rub it in...I mean, the guy was giving me a ride.

Kato: I turn to face her. "You can walk if you want, you know." My tone was harsh and cold. I open the seat of the scooter, taking another helmet out and placing it on the handle. Then, I put my own one on and slid my leg over to the other side, putting my keys in the ignition, waiting to kick start it and turn the keys.

Vivian: Yeah, I should've kept my mouth shut. "Um, I'm good, thanks." I hurry and slip on behind him, clipping my helmet on before he can take off without me. it was a good thing that I got on when I did. He took off almost as soon as I was on. I jerk forward and wrap my arms around his waist. My heart hammers in my chest. Jesus! I almost fell off! I kinda stay there frozen for a few moments while I calm down. I take in deep breaths, concentrating on staying on the scooter.

I follow the car ahead, which I'm presuming is the one that Saffron's driving. How does she know-? But that's when I see a little head pop up from the back of the car. I follow it, driving slightly like a maniac, but I didn't really care. Well, that was my savings gone...
