Though I didn't even have a smile on my face, it dropped by the tiniest bit as she threw the paper down. It only had a few words on it, nothing more. I used my old letter stamps to write it, along with the ink, though I needed some more on the last word.
"Have a nice day, Angel." It began. "Don't allow anyone to get you down. I'm looking out for you."
Though the things I said to her were the slight opposite of looking out for her, I wished I could mean what I said. In fact, it was really an anonymous apology from myself.
I pulled my sketchbook away from Jamie, and the pen in her hand scraped across it, leaving a nice black line across the even nicer drawing she had done for me. I didn't even have to look to know it was of me and Samantha. This time, she was twice my height, quite butch, warty, and had a beer belly to compliment her wedding dress she was wearing, as she held my drawn hands, who's body was covered in an oversized tux. I shook my head as she smiled cheekily at me and turned to a new page, reading the whiteboard again to refresh myself of what needed to be done.I began drawing my scooter pretty accurately, though it had a cartoonistic edge to it. That was in the foreground, and Danny commented on that when it was finished, proving my plan to have worked. Though nobody seemed to have noticed the true part, the real part, which was what the scooter was leaning on. It was a small and common letter box on a wooden pole, and tiny little hearts rimmed one of the letter edges inside the container. I suppose that unoticable image adds to the effect, seeing as that is what I want everyone to overlook about myself...

Angelique: I walked around the classroom, thinking about the letter. It seemed so weird and it didn't sound like any of my colleagues. Then again, my writing didn't sound like me.

I turned on the A/C to beat the 85 degrees outside. I was never used to the heat and I enjoyed the cold. I walked to the door and then I saw my old friend, George Jockson, a French teacher who applied for this school alongside me. He smiled and waved. "Hey, Angie! Class is going on?"

I nodded and he popped his head inside the class. "Bonjour, guys!"
He was pretty popular with the kids, especially since he advised plenty of clubs and coached some sports. How he had so much time, I'll never know.

Jamie perked up as did the twins, seeing a head poke through the door. Smiles swept across the three faces, and they called out in unison: "Mr J!" I had seen the bloke around the school, but had never spoken to him really, apart from when he once mistook me for one of his pupils; I didn't take French, and I was never good at languages other than our own. I watched the two out of the corner of my eye, expecting the trio to dismiss themselves to greet the teacher any minute now... And they did. With a clunk and a scrape of metal against the floor, they pretty much ran towards him. I just kept my head down, outlining the letterbox.

Angelique: I jumped out of the way before the trio could jump on George and I found myself at Kai's desk. Although he had a smart mouth on him, he was a pretty good student. I looked at him. "You almost done?"

Kai: "Pretty much." I blew my fringe again, leaning to one side in case she wanted to look. I laughed as the teacher by the door was practically assaulted by my good mates. Opposite me, Patch, named so because of the large white dyed spot on the side of black hair, was watching them as well.

Angelique: I looked at the drawing and smiled to myself. The scooter was cute...and the background was well done. I looked to him, my interest peaked. "Kai, what's that small thing you're still working on?" I pointed to the small box that was half-done.

Kai: I clenched my teeth before answering her smoothly. "It's just something for the scooter to lean on, so it doesn't look empty." I lie. Buy it, buy it... I change the subject. "So how was your alcohol-free coffee, Miss?"

Angelique: I smiled at him. "I haven't finished it yet, but so far, it's fine. Just the way I like it...That box...it's a great accessory to the picture..adds some mystery don't you think?"

Kato: "I suppose so..." I mumble, but try to regain my flare. "I can't believe you didn't see us in Starbucks, miss." I tell her. "The whole cafe was having a food fight!" I smiled lightly, tracing the outline of the reverse of the image that Jamie drew for me with my finger. Yes, she presses hard enough to leave an indent...

Angelique: I giggled and shook my head. "There was no food fight. I remember, Ms. Delaney was at her station flirting with the cashier and most people were just chatting. No food fight."

Kai: My eyes widened. "Seriously?! So the rumors were false..." I muttered. Unless the cashier was female. "There was a food fight though. That's why there's coffee on the floor." I knew I made no sense, but nevertheless I gestured to the brown puddle on the floor that she had spilled earlier.

Then George smiled. "You better get started soon, Jelly. Well kids, I got to go now. Behave, alright?"

The twins rolled their eyes. "Do we have to?" They moaned.
"Really?" I asked. "That's quite an achievement..." I smile, my eyes slightly lit.

I watched as George tried backing away. "Yeah..sorry guys, but look! Lunch is about to start in three minutes. Who wants to play the silent game? Winner gets a free period pass."

I shook my head, grinning. There was no such thing, but I guess it was alright. I sat back in my desk and watched as everyone grew silent and the twins unwillingly sat back in their seats, bugging their neighbors so they would lose.

I sipped at my latte while George came over and watched from behind my seat.

I sighed as Jamie sat next to me. "What's up Kai?" She asked, her tone caring.
"Nothing." I replied. "I just can't seem to get this shading right." I lied.
"Looks fine to me." She replied, and gave me a brief hug.
"Thanks." I reply, a small smile on my lips.

Kai: I turn the page back to her picture, and my face instantly curves into a toothy grin. "Do you really think she looks like that?!" I blurt out, and she laughs back.

I just shook my head and started checking my email. Most were just advertisements and others were from colleagues. I detested junk mail and I stood, walking around.

Kai: "Uh, what?" I looked puzzledly around at the table, patch was involved in his drawing, while the rest were exchanging glances and giggling. I felt my back, checking for a post it note or something, and just came out with a confused: "Uh..."

Then I smiled at him, feeling the bright sun at the back of my head.

Kai: I smile forms on my face; partly because of the warm glow I felt when she put her hand on my shoulder, and partly because I was feeling rather mischeivous. "Hey, Patch?" I called. He grunted, too involved with his artwork. I repeated it again. "Patch!"
"What?!" he moaned, and the table began giggling again. Not the actual table, the people around it...
